January 23, 2010 Sailing with Mickey on the Magic! **The Crusin' DISers**

Anyone have a teen who wants’ to do The Wild Side? DD wants’ to do it but is scared because she does not know anyone.

My DD will be 13 for the cruise - we should get them to talk on the boards maybe that would make things easier for both of them. Not sure what the Wild Side is but I never know what Cassie will think is fun.

Just wanted to pop in and join this thread. DH (31) and I (28) will be on the Jan 23-30 cruise. This is our second cruise (1st was Norwegian Dawn in 2006) and our first Disney cruise. We've wanted to do the cruise for awhile and we finally just bit the bullet and booked it! We're planning a week at WDW before the cruise (crossing our fingers for a deal). We are going to rent a car from the airport and drop it off near the port so we can get to the ship earlier than w/the Disney transfers. We're both very excited for the trip!

Well gang, I hate to say it, but we are bowing out of this cruise. We were really struggling with spending the money and then I found we can take the exact same cruise on DCL for over 2k less.

We will miss DCL but we simply cannot justify spending that much more. :-(

Gonna be an up hill battle convincing my DH to dress up!

Tell me about it. If DH can go he is already fussing about formal night. Do you think dressing him up would be pushing it?

It’s a teen excursion on CC. They bike ride, snorkel and kayak. DD is not sure about doing the activities but she likes to socialize. I am thinking if other kids are doing it she may give it a shot. It gives her some supervised time away so we will give it a shot. She will be 13 as well when we go. We should start letting them talk now so they will know someone for vacation. Same age, same activities.

Enjoy your new cruise - I am struggling with the same thing - I can take 7 of us (my mother and DD's friend) for much less than we are paying for only the 5 of us on DCL! I just can't bring myself to cancel just yet!

On another note - for those of you who may be planning on booking excursions on your own - we received a notice today from DCL that the itinerary has been modified (looks like Grand Cayman & Cozumel days have been switched). Here's the new itinerary:


Sat - Port Canaveral
Sun - Key West
Mon - at sea
Tues - Cozumel
Wed - Grand Cayman
Thurs - at sea
Fri - Castaway Cay
Sat - Port Canaveral
