It really depends on availability whether a discount is offered for a particular type of room. Villas have been included in the past, normally equal to the deluxe discounts, especially at the older properties.

Yes, you will be able to upgrade to the DDP by paying the additional costs.

I've been following silently and must admit I'm glad I'm in good company. We decided last week to book regardless, partly because we're staying at WDW before our cruise so don't have much flexibility in terms of dates. However, am keeping fingers crossed for a discount. Especially with the crappy Cdn dollar these days any amount saved would really help. We're looking at staying at POR. I'm hoping that they'll be included for a room only discount. I know that POFQ often isn't but am hoping the same doesn't apply to POR. Anybody know?

POR was included in both SPD and room only last year but did have limited room types (i.e. standard rooms on discount were hard to come by)

Going to be interesting to see how they release them. Free dining you were able to alter reservations online about 5 hours before the phones opened. We haven't seen an early Visa promotion in a while, I doubt that they will start now. Looking forward to knocking about $600 off my reservation.

This morning Orlando by Joe's Facebook page says that the promos have been offered to Disney Visa Holders:

Remember those discounts I mentioned yesterday? Well, if you have a Disney Visa, you can book them RIGHT NOW!!!!

Specifics are spotty. So far we know stay, play, dine is available for dates sod December 13-19 and January 2 thru March 7. Exclusions include All Star Movies, French Quarter, Mermaid rooms at Art of Animation, Campsites, Bay Lake Tower, Grand Floridian and Polynesian Villas. River side is excluded from the December portion but available for the rest.

There... is also a room discount as well from January 2 thru April 13. Same exclusions apply except it appears All Star Movies is available for this one.

Just call Disney and ask for the Disney Visa offer!

I just had room only applied to my current reservation (I know they have to change it etc, but as far as what I see it looked applied,lol). Dates are correct above for room only vs SPD. If you have a disney visa call now, person who helped me said they have lots of extra folks working today because of it, and you could hear a ton of noise already in the background.
15% values, 20% moderate, 25% deluxe with a few exceptions.

Just booked it. Only certain rooms in Port Orleans Riverside are included. We had a garden room already booked but the offer did not apply when they tried to add it. We changed to a Royal Room and the Disney VISA offer worked.

ARGH. Canadians aren't eligible for a Disney Visa card. Will wait patiently for the next round o' discounts!!!
