wow, that is a great total rate.

I did a dummy res to see if I could replicate for a minivan to see it I had a chance of finding similar deal next week, but they were sold out for those dates.

As a side note to my rate, I check kayak many times a day and when I find a good rate without coupons, I then go to that car company's website and apply coupon codes when I can find them. Keep checking often as the rates change with the breeze.

Good idea. Two reservations. Who knows I may find something cheaper than $150 before we go....or at least that's my hope

I just booked the same for the same time period and got the same rate. Yippee! About $35 less than Alamo right now. I haven't used Budget for years-do they let you pick your car like Alamo and National do? TIA.

We have rented from Budget 2 times in the last year. We were assigned a car, and spouses can drive free. I have cancelled our reservation with Dollar.

I just used these codes and it's $37 more than Dollar for the same car I have reserved.

About a month ago I reserved a car through Alamo for 2 weeks 1 day for $397. This week I checked prices, since they usually go down, and the price is $100 more! This is quite odd. We usually rent about 3 times a year from MCO and I don't ever recall prices going up on rentals until a week or so close to the day we depart. I am hoping it is still early for our rental and prices usually drop at about 3 weeks out so I'll keep on checking...and looking for some good codes

My rate fell $30 today. It's down to $183 for 1/18-1/25 thru Budget using the Costco discount code.

I am sure this may have been asked at one time but can a person use some of these codes when they are not so called members? For example, if oyu use the Costco codes do you not have to be a member and may be asked to prove so when renting/picking up the car?

I was playing around on priceline today and put in a bid of $17/day for a minivan for Jan 21st - Feb 3rd, 13 days and it was rejected.

I was offered a rebid, and they said if I bid $20/day it would be accepted. So being me, I put in a bid of $18/day and it was accepted, with all taxes and fees, my total for a minivan for 13days is $371. Avis is the rental company.

I'm happy with that as my current reservation was $540 with Alamo.
