Pins expire the 15th.
Disney Visa offer should come out about 10-12 days after that.
Then it will turn to a General Public offer near the end of the first week of October.

Question about promos. I am staying from Dec 30-Jan 7. What is a promo is for half of your stay? Would I get any discount?

Normally, package promos such as the Stay, Play & Dine or Free Dining, the reservation has to begin during the promo period, but the promo will apply to the entire package even if the package goes out past the promo offering period. Example: if S/P/D started on Jan. 3, you'd have to do a split reservation to get the promo at all because you are checking in before (dec30) the promo starts. Another example: if the S/P/D period was Dec 28-Jan 1, you would get the promo for your entire trip since your reservation would begin during the promo period.

Room only discounts apply only for the days of the offering period, but you can check in before the promo period starts. Example: if room only offer started on Jan 3, you'd get the discount for the nights starting on the 3rd, and nothing for the earlier nights. However, it could all be done with one reservation.

I said normally, because of course Disney could alter the rules with any future promos. However, this is how it has been in the past.

Has there been any informed speculation yet re: what exactly the RO percentages will be (i.e. 30% vs 35% for deluxe resorts)? Really hoping for at least 30% this year, but got nervous when I saw the GF/Poly at 20% this summer!

MLK weekend wasn't blacked out for RO last year, so will that likely be the case again this year?

I found this to be helpful - historical release dates of discounts for last year.
I believe it went 15%value - 30%mod - 35%deluxe. i bookmark the below so i can have it for future reference when planning.

Hi All! In order to have the early access to the Disney Discount, I signed up for a Disney Visa. Just wondering where I will have to go to book once the discounts are available for card members. Will I go to the Disney Visa site or Disney online booking site?

We still have our Nov. trip to look forward to (F&W Festival) , but I am already obsessing over a Jan. or Feb. trip discount. The first time I am awake after midnight tonight I will grab my IPAD and see if there are any RO discounts announced for winter. If so, I have DH's permission to book! I need to get a life!

Has it happened before that someone is able to post the exact percentages for the different resorts in advance? I feel like I have seen that with free dining, but not room only...

The last time I took advantage of a DV discount, I saw the promotion here and called and had the discount applied. That was May 2012 for our trip in Nov 2012. I got an email 3 days later. I have noticed an email about mid day announcing deals on the day they're released since then though. Just keep your eyes here opened and on your email. Trust me, when a discount is released DIS'ers are all over it!!!!
