Okay, so someone help me out here. Is this not free dining? It's based on a family of 4. We are a family of 2 adults and 1 child. But am I reading it wrong. Is it free dining, or just a discount? It has a pin number, so surely it's some type of discount or free dining.

This was an email from Disney Destinations. Here's what it said. The top of the message had dates from January going into April....but then I read on further down....and the regular dining plan was only offered for the Jan 12-16 and Jan 20-Feb 12.

Just got a free dining pin for January. Yay! It's odd dates though. Jan 12-16 and Jan 20-Feb 12. I let a travel agent book our trip for us this time and wouldn't you know she's out of town on a trip. Dang it. I probably won't do that again. I love having control of my own trip.

The week around MLK weekend is usually blacked out. Free dining for the general public usually starts the Saturday after the MLK weekend!

They had this same package deal offered last year. It isn't "free" dining, I think adults are just kid dining prices and rooms are slightly discounted. This will probably go public when the current promotion ends in August. We had this and then got a free dining pin last year which was the better deal, and visa also had a deal.

Okay thanks! It's a step in the right direction. So should I go ahead and put the pin on our booking? Or might that prevent a free dining pin from coming to me? Any idea?

If you are willing to wait for the end of the current promotion to see if the stay play and dine goes public I would probably wait and see. Then maybe a free dining pin may come your way. Not sure how the pins work but I would be worried if I put one in then it may keep another one away haha.

Thanks for the advice. I need to find out exactly how much this offer gives us. Dining for the 3 of us would add 954.00 I think. I have no idea if to add the cost of dining in order to get the offer would be worth it. The offer is only good until July 27. Need to make up my mind.

Oh didn't realize it expires so quickly! Definitely do the math and if it makes sense, apply it! Crazy how many numbers you have to crunch to figure out the best deal, good luck!

Called to apply it to my reservation but its not loaded in the system yet . Hopefully bugs will be worked out tomorrow although getting a free dining pin would be even better!

It's not free dining!

This is what we had January 2013 and doesn't equal a savings of near as much as free dining!

I think it was regular room pricing & the adults paid kids pricing for tickets and the dining plan. I can't remember.

"Free Dining" was the only excuse to incorporate a Disney visit into our Darkside visit on our upcoming trip!

The only exclusion in my email was AoA little mermaid rooms and boardwalk deluxe villas. Look like everything else is fair game.

I was all excited to come and post that I got a pin in my email today, except it looks like I got the crappy one! Lol! I got the same wording as the poster above except with 25%, 20%, and 15% off. I guess that 25% is better than nothing, but I was really hoping for 35%!
