JANUARY 2013, Who Else is Going?

We are going Jan 2-5 in the parks. First time to see Carsland and even better is first time to see DL all Christmased out.

Oh we are staying at the motel 6 anaheim maingate. Little bit of a walk (if we dont take the shuttle) but it was a decent place to stay when we went 2 years ago in Jan.

First trip ever to Disneyland - Jan. 19-26 - we have been to DW 5 times - have been counting down since May of 2011 when we returned from DW the last time. Very excited to see where it all started as we are HUGE Disney freaks! Not sure whos more excited - husband and I or the kids. Coming from Cleveland Ohio. Will be so glad to leave the snow at that time - just hope it does not mess with our flights too much! Staying offsite at the Tropicana.

Ok I finally booked our hotel. We're staying at Desert Palms this time. We decided to sacraifice in parks for more money in our pockets and I've heard great reviews, so I'm looking forward to it. Also, we ended up getting the 4-day park hopper from Costco so we are staying na extra day! Our dates are: January 27- arrive, Jan 28-31 in parks and head home Feb. 1st.

I noticed there are some special meals/menus for Christmas Eve and Day. Are there any for New Years Eve/Day?

I am hoping to rearrange plans over the holiday in order to go to the parks on January 2 - 4. We will probably just stay at my brother's to save $ since it is just a quick Christmas trip to ride BTMRR before it goes down and check out the decorations. I was just there all last week and am ready to go back....and I don't want to wait until April. Is it obvious??

Does anyone know if NAMM will be offering convention tickets to Disneyland this year for conference goers? I did a Google search and they have offered them online for the past 2 years but I didn't see anything for 2013 yet.

I too am waiting to see if NAMM is having convetion priced tickets. We will be going to NAMM either way, we just may not be spending more than a day at the park if no discount it available... I'll be keeping an eye on this thread

We'll be at the BWPPI on the 13-18, for our fourth annual, three generations, all girls trip.

We are taking the plunge! Staying on site at Paradise Pier Jan. 21st-26th.

I will be there Dec 30 to Jan 5th, staying at Super 8 (less $$ for a bed and more $$ for special events - hope to get Holiday Tour and may do Walk in Walt's DL Footsteps.)

Another Diva, Kelmac, and I are going to meet on Jan 2nd at the ice rink at 8pm to watch the skaters. Grab a hot choc or EoS food and join us (posting on January board as well.)

Just went last weekend and got AP so we booked a kids suite at the Best Western Raffles Inn for January 1-6 It will be me, my 8 yr old daughter, 3 yr old twin boys, our good friends and their 2 yr old son. We are driving from the East Bay area

We're finishing our 5 week California/ Las Vegas holiday with almost 2 weeks in Anaheim, staying at Hojo's in a kids suite. We'll be there from 8th-20th January.
This will be my 2nd visit to DL...the first was back in 1994!! It'll be a first visit for my husband, 2 daughters (aged 10 and 7) and my Mum. We can't wait!!!!

We are going to be there the same dates as you, but we are going to San Diego for a few days in the middle.

For the first part from 8-12 Jan we will be in the Park Vue Inn. After San Diego we will be staying in a kids suite at Hojo's.

This is our first visit to DL. DH has been to WDW. We have a daughter who is 8 and a son who is 5.

Unlike the Gay Days tickets, I wouldn't risk it on this one.

I agree, I wouldn't risk it either. How horrible that would be to pay for tickets and then not be able to use them.

But for the record, the gay days ticket website said the same thing, I think all convention tickets do... Still wouldn't risk it though!

But for those who are going to the Tinker Bell half, GET travel has discounted tickets that are the same prices as convention.
