January 2013 Discounts

I finally got my wish. Booked with a Disney Visa discount. Saved almost $2000 on BWI room with inn keepers club. Yay! So ready to see Mickey!!
:thumbsup2:cool1:

Thanks!

But hmmm...that flyer makes no sense to me. Looking at the Deluxe example, it says $128 per person per night for a 5-night stay, then says the total package price is $3,070. Well, $128 * 4 * 5 = $2,560. Does the $128 refer to just the room or just the room+food? Even so, that makes no sense because tickets alone would be over $1k.

Anyway, even if the numbers did add up in the examples, I can't get a good feel for what the actual discount will be for me because I don't know what dates/rates they're using as the baseline, etc. Biting my nails until Oct. 10th!

So if the RO discount is up to $600, does anyone know what the Stay/Play/Dine discount limit is? Is it a percentage or dollar amount taken off?
We plan on staying at the CBR with park hopper and dining plan.

I don't get it, even with that post. It clearly says up to $600 in that Disney Rewards link, but I clearly got a $765 discount? :confused3

It says "Save up to $600 on a 5-night/6-day"

If your stay is longer maybe you can save more?

Just got off the phone with Disney and applied the Disney Visa Discount-here is what we got:
January 26-February 2
POFQ Standard Room, 7 Day MYW tics, DDP
3 adults/1 child

Price Quote BEFORE discount: $3,927.72
Price Quote AFTER discount: $2,919.42
:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:
Total Savings: $1,008.50

Then we had booked my parents in another room same dates as above
POFQ Standard Room, 7 Day MYW tics, DDP
2 Adults

Price Quote BEFORE discount: $2703.54
Price Quote AFTER discount: $2055.30
Total Savings: $648.24

Wait, so POFQ *is* included?

It is the Stay/Play/Dine discount that says "Save up to $600 on a 5-night/6-day"

The room only offer does not say anything about a max and is based on %'s

It only says the Little Mermaid rooms are excluded. Do you have a LM room or are you in a different section?

OOPS! Missed the fine print... We are in Nemo. Too bad it didn't say that bigger, many might miss it. I was looking for it and did.

...Time for more coffee...

Yes it is!! The CM on the phone was so pleasant and nice and she even called her supervisor over so that she could ensure the numbers were correct! I couldn't believe it when she told me!

Praying you all get a great discount too!:goodvibes

Thanks!

I was trying to figure that out as well. Then realized it says "per day", so you have to multiply by 6 days to get to $3,072.

Here's my savings for Jan 11-21-

BEFORE-POFQ standard with10 day ph and reg dining plan-$4,429.07

NOW- POFQ garden view with 10 day ph and reg dining plan -$3,592.17

Savings of $836.90

Not free dining but better than expected. We are still 300 over our budget. Anyone gotten a quote for similar dates at a Value resort? Wonder if bumping down would save is $300???

I called and with the RO discount we would save $346.22 if we added the plus dining package with the Stay/Play/Eat we would save $526.04. Not very impressive considering we are a family of six staying in two rooms for 6 nights.
Does anyone have any experience with the YES program? We can combine a RO discount with the discounted park tickets right? If only one child attends the class does the whole family get the discounted tickets? If that's the case we could save a total of $970.16! But that sounds a little to good to be true so I'm guessing I'm running the numbers wrong.

Any idea when the discount will be avail for us that can't get the disney visa because we live in Canada? I want FD so bad.

So excited for all of you getting some awesome prices

jan 19 thru 25 at POR saved us 600 bucks with Disney Visa.......sorta......they bumped me on the view saying Garden View was the lowest level appropriated for this offering at this resort........oh well, i did not want to look at a parking lot anway.

I have a Disney Visa but do I HAVE to pay for the trip exclusively with the card to get the discount or can I just make a partial payment with it and pay the rest out of pocket?

I switched from AoA LM this morning to POR to take advantage of the Visa RO discount. For us (2 adults, 6yo, two 2yos) from Jan 13-21 for garden view room, 7 day park hopper and Dining I was quoted $3,289.46. I later called back to get the play, stay, dine discount. I had to upgrade to a preferred room to get it, but my new total was $3,097.03. When we originally priced this rack rate was going to be around $3,800, so I'm happy :)

This offer will be available to the public on October 10th, for those asking.
