Does anyone have info about the HISTK playground at DHS being closed in January?

I was just looking at rehabs on the Dis site, and it mentions the playground being closed. But I can't confirmation of that on the WDW website.

I saw someone mention it on another thread, but the dates Stitch Kingdom is showing don't start until Feb and Allears.com has the same dates, mid-Feb to mid-Mar.

Not sure which to believe, but if the majority seems to say it closes in Feb, I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope that's right!

Only 9 more days to go. So excited at this point. Completed my online checkin for ASMu this morning. If anyone is interested, there is a small group of us who have met on the solo travelers board doing a DIS meet at Epcot on the 25th. We are meeting at 9am by the fountain near Mouse Gears and then touring the park together. Most of us are 50 and older, but anyone is welcome to join us.

I prefer online check-in for the convenience factor. You walk up, give the CM your ID, they verify your info & reservation info, and you walk off with your packet and room key. The room may not be ready but you have everything you need. Also your credit card info will be on file so you do not have to give it to the CM. Many people like this as a security feature. Apparently in the past, there was a problem with CM's skimming credit cards. We also never have a preference to room location, so we take what we are given.

I would say if you have several room requests or a more complicated reservation, such has a large party & multiple rooms reserved, that I would hold off and not do online check in.
