I've never done a meet either. As far as I know, we are all just going to meet under the Sorcerer's Hat near Mickey's hand. Once we are all there, we can decide what to do. See ya'll there.

Oh I'm new too! LOL. We just realized so many of us would be at Disney on the same days and thought it would be neat to meet each other one day. So Thursday the 27th whoever wants to come will just meet at the giant sorcerer's hat in Hollywood Studios. It's just a chance to say hello to some fellow DIS'ers and hang out with fellow lovers of Disney!

Just found out that there is a big golf convention at the Convention Center starting around 1/25... Hope it's not too crowded at the parks because of it! My BIL, who is a golf pro, is going down that week too for the convention. Hopefully the pros hang out at the center and not the parks!

Just decided to book Poly CL for our Jan 13th - 18th trip. We were planning on waiting till we were there next week to see what the current bounce back is and if it switched to including 2011, but since there is 40% off room only we really can't complain about that! I decided to book club level but am not sure if we'll keep that or switch out, we can decide if it's worth a $450 upgrade (after discount) once we try it out next week.

Just a quick "Hi"-first time on this site, and we are staying at the Polynesian as well-3 kids, 8yr old twin girls, and my son just turned 10 Christmas day-looks like are kids are maybe close in age? We are from PA-and "must dos" to pass along? Its their first trip-(my husband and I have been before years ago) Plan on Ohana's Sat night for a real arrival "welcome"

Eek, I am really started to get worried that its going to be packed that week. Just seems that we are hearing of more and more people going then. I need to settle down though, cause I always get panicky the closer our trips get LOL

What I did was write my username in a fine print sharpie marker, then cut the green head off from the rest of the paint sample. I did 2 of them, glued them back to back, and for several other little projects I was doing, I'd bought some self laminating paper. So I am laminating it, then gonna somehow attach it to my purse or to the backpack that dh will be using. Probably make a small hole and loop some ribbon through.

Welcome to the Disboards! I'm impressed; it's your first post and you figured out how to quote someone else? I didn't figure that out for a while!

You might want to hit the search engine or theme park strategies forum and look for must-do's. Everyone has different ones. For sure Ohana is a must-do for many people, including me!

Welcome! We have a lot in common...I'm from PA, our younger kids are the same age and we took them to the Poly last Jan! We had an awesome time and I'm sure you will too. Did you request a specific longhouse? We stayed at Tokelau and thought it was perfect. Definitely do a breakfast and dinner at Ohana, and you must try the Tonga Toast at Captain Cook's! It's to die for. As far as parks go, both my 3 and 8 yo loved MK and Epcot the most, but had fun at AK and HS as well. It depends on what they are into.

Feel free to ask any questions. We are gearing up for our trip in 2weeks!

It will be just my 7 year old son and I celebrating his birthday. I am counting the days! It is also our first time at Disney. Any single parents traveling around this time? Maybe we can team up for the kids to go on rides together one day.

You are not alone , I am very panicky... maybe it is normal....maybe it is excitement.... usually I am more prepared than this, but I swore to calm down and relax... now I am more stressed!

Sounds like me today. Running a few errands took ALL day and I've been so frustrated. DS woke up sick yesterday, so I let him tag along to my doctor checkup and he got a few prescriptions so hopefully we will be better by next Wednesday when we leave. And the pharmacy took nearly 3 hours to fill our medicine too.

DS woke up sick yesterday, so I let him tag along to my doctor checkup and he got a few prescriptions so hopefully we will be better by next Wednesday when we leave. We leave a week from tomorrow and I have so much to do going bathing suit shopping tomorrow. I don't know how much we will use them but don't want to chance it. I placed my order at Disney Florist for my daughters birthday we did the smaller birthday in room celebration have the wishes dessert party booked for the 24th on her birthday. I am getting excited but really need to start getting stuff together.

Thank you, his medicines seem to be working. He is just going through the Kleenex like crazy! LOL. But thankfully its not the flu, cause I know so many people in our town have it right now.
