What happened to the long range forecast!?! It was for highs in the mid 70s, now it is for highs in the low to mid 60s. Oh well, it is still much better than the high of 20 we have for here today and still better than highs in 90s+ that it was last time we were in WDW. I'm sure it will change many times in the next 12 days. And a cold day in Disney is still better any January day in Illinois!!

I hope you bring warm weather, because we are freezing down here!! Gave up rope drop at the MK this morning due to the weather.

We're on our way! Got an earlier start than expected, so we may go all the way tonight. We packed warm stuff, but are hoping that it warms up some. But like others have said, cold at Disney is still Disney!

Hi everyone,
Just back home last night after driving down with our son, Jake, for his WDW College Program and then flying home.....beat the snow in PA by about 30 minutes!! Jake has been assigned Attractions in the Back Land area of the Studios which include, Backlot Tour/ Muppets 3D/ Honey, I Shrunk the Kids play area and Lights, Motors, Action (also Star Tours, but, he won't have the opportunity to work there since he'll be finishing his program on 5/13 and ST doesn't reopen until the next week). He has Studios orientation tomorrow, Thurs. 1/13 and then training in his specific job, so if anyone is visiting HS later in the month, stop by those areas and look for a good looking kid with dimples named Jake from Penn State and say HI!!!

Okay so how cold is Disney cold?? Cause in TX right now its in the 40s and I feel like I'm going to freeze my butt off LOL, I'm having to buy some warmer clothes to take cause I just don't really have any.

What a neat job! We will keep an eye out for him. My son whose name is Jacob thinks its hilarious to meet other guys with the name Jake or Jacob. I think until recently he thought he was the only Jacob in the world

Nope. Best I could find was 15 days, too. And that took a lot of searching. Most sites just gave 10 days.

The extended forecast is not looking good for us right now Not only are some days real cold, there are 2 days of RAIN I know that there's a good chance it will change but I'm getting depressed about it....

We leave tomorrow! Getting a little ticked at my other travelers, but it is what it is. My stupid BIL was supposed to put tires on his van months ago, and still hasn't. We've threatened that we wouldn't let him take it and he would have to take our van. Tomorrow "morning" (which for him is probably early afternoon) he is supposed to be getting tires, nothing like waiting for the last freaking minute! Hoping nothing goes wrong with them on our trip....nothing like getting new tires and then immediately driving 1000 miles! I don't care, I am going to be on the PA turnpike at 6pm no matter what, I will leave them behind!

Other than that my husbands aunt had her water lines freeze and then her jeep refused to start....she's supposed to be arriving tonight sometime. Hoping her Jeep gets fixed and we don't have to drive 2 hours tonight to pick her up!

This sounds like DH. He waits until the last minute for everything because he doesn't consider that I may have other things that need to be done, because I'm the one packing/coordinating everyone. Good luck.
