To those feeling under the weather or with sick kids - I hope you all feel better soon! :goodvibes

I so wish I could make plans like you all have. I'm supposed to be meeting my brother and SIL at WDW for my trip in Jan but they haven't committed to the trip yet. It seems there is always something that comes up that prevents them from deciding if they are going or not. :confused3 It's actually starting to get me down. I feel like I can't even get excited about the trip because it's all so up in the air with them. I don't want to plan it all out without their input but they don't want to talk about it. <sigh>

Sorry you are sad...we are going with my sil/bil and mil in January. They wanted nothing to do with the plannng either so I made all of the plans happily and sent them an email. They booked their flight, bought their park tickets and I told them we are doing the ddp so they will hav to pay for that..all that being said, I wouldn't be surprised if sil/bil cancel last minute.

I feel like such a slacker! Everyone's plans look wonderful.

I still don't have much set in stone yet until I can get my ADR's on Sunday, which has been a hassle since I'm going away for the weekend and won't be home Sunday morning. I'll be in a cabin in the mountains with no TV, no internet, and no long distance phone service. :scared1: I can hardly believe places like that exist anymore! If I walk donw to the river I can get cell phone reception but DH is hounding me about the cell phone charges calling FL. SO I talked to my Dad who will be home on Sunday morning and he's going to call for me. I only have 3 to make so hopefully he can do it without any trouble. I hope Disney doesn't give him any trouble. I gave him all my ressie info in case he needs it. Wish me luck!

When I get back on Sunday I'll start working on the updated lists for ADR's and such!!! Hopefully I'll get it posted by Monday! :goodvibes

Hey all!!

I'm brand-new to the forums, but not to the Disney love! :goodvibes: DH and I took our DD (our very own Princess, *aka* Stinkerbell princess: ) in April 2009...we had so much fun with her that we're taking her back in January for her 2nd birthday.

Can't wait to go, we'll be at WL from 1/22-1/29. Will be waking up bright and early tomorrow (The one day we might actually be able to sleep in because my parents are watching DD overnight! The travesty of it all...) to make our 90-day ADRs.

I started browing these forums for good ideas and deals, and enjoyed reading about other people's trips so much that decided to join myself. So...here I am! :wave2:

:welcome: Love the screenname by the way! :lmao: Good luck with the ADR's!!!! With two kids of my own I definitely understand about the sleeping in ;)

I love WDW in January! My DDs and I will be there Thursday the 21st - Tuesday the 26th. Our ADR day was today, so our plans are (pretty well) set:

Thu, Jan 21 - arrival at CR, DHS, early dinner at Sci-Fi, Fantasmic

Fri, Jan 22 - start day at MK, lunch at CRT, head to Epcot in the evening for EMH, dinner at GG (my kids like character dining!)

Sat, Jan 23 - AK, breakfast at TH, dinner at O'Hana, DTD in the evening.

Sun, Jan 24 - breakfast at CM, Epcot, dinner at Marakesh, perhaps EMH at MK

Mon, Jan 25 - breakfast at Kona, probably spend the day at MK, dinner at 1900 PF

Tues, Jan 26 - we don't leave CR until 2:00 and thus far have no plans for this day!

Wow, sounds busy. 90 days! Can't wait! :cheer2:

Woo Hoo! Tonight we are officially 90 days out, so we will be calling Disney World at 3:00 this morning (when they open) and making our dining reservations. I am so excited!!!! Me and my husband are taking our 2.5 year old son. We are driving from Maryland, so we thought the first day we get there we want to do a character dinner at Magic Kingdom. That will really get my son excited. We have a list of restaurants we are going to try. I will let you know if we get our requested times. Fingers Crossed!!!

Thanks for adding me to the list, Mom. Wow, that is a LOT of Disers heading to WDW in January.

My dates are set for Jan 15 - 23. I used the 4/7 to book the CBR, but I still don't have a ressie for the last night. I'm hoping for a pin, and thinking about treating us to the last night at a Deluxe. Haven't decided on a dining plan (or not), but went ahead and made ressies for the week. I know we'll want a couple of character breakfasts and a nice dinner for DD's birthday.
I've got:
Tusker House, Kouzzina, and Ohana Breakfast, Rose & Crown, Tony's, SciFi, and Le Cellier dinners.

Now DH is missing with my plans though. He is supposed to be at sea in January, which is why I planned the trip. He hates WDW. Now there's a chance he might be home. So I'll have to cancel, or try to talk him into coming along.

Got an email and pin code for Deluxes:

Booked 1/3 - 1/7 AKL Pool View
+ 2 park hopper passes
+ Dining + Wine

$1,600 total.
I think that's a great deal!
Room alone was $169/night with the discount.

Now I have to make a new countdown ticker!!

Our family of 4, will be down the week of Jan22-29th staying at the Polynesian. We've never done a boat cruise to see the fireworks. Would love to do a share. Our kids are 6 and 3. Let me know if anyone is interested any of those nights.

Booked our ADR's this morning (well, the hubby got up at 6 while I slept in :rolleyes1 )

We got everything we wanted, except we wanted Mama Melrose, but got H&V for Fantasmic. We'll deal, but just a little disappointed. I'm getting hungry just thinking about all the food! popcorn::

Saturday 1/23- Chef Mickeys for brk, MK, Whispering Canyon for dinner

Sunbday 1/24- HS, Fantasmic dinner @ Hollywood & Vine

Monday 1/25- AK, then Coral Reef for dinner

Tuesday 1/26- Epcot, Le Cellier for dinner

Wednesday 1/27- open day, Teppan Edo for dinner

Thursday 1/28 (:tink: birthday day! )- CRT for breakfast, MK, and Chef Mickey's for dinner

Friday 1/29- Liberty Tree for breakfast (by the way, he didn't have any problems getting this one, so maybe they fixed the glitches they were having?), MK for the day, late flight out

*whew* I'm hoping we get some time to relax, and maybe get some pool visits in...not sure if the weather will let us, but Orlando in January has got to be better than Chicago in January!

Thursday 1/28 (:tink: birthday day! )- CRT for breakfast, MK, and Chef Mickey's for dinner

We had these exact ressies on our first day in the parks last year! Depending on when your ressies are and how much you eat, you may find you don't really want lunch that day! We were SO full from breakfast (8:05) that we didn't feel hungry until about 330! By that time it was only 90mins until our CM ADR (505) that we just grabbed some juices from the resort and hung on! Boy did we ever LOVE Chef Mickey's!

Friday 1/29- Liberty Tree for breakfast (by the way, he didn't have any problems getting this one, so maybe they fixed the glitches they were having?), MK for the day, late flight out

We will see you there! I am hoping to get an early ADR @ LTT for the same day! We will be spending the day @ MK too!

No matter how cold is in in Disney in January, it is ALWAYS warmer than at home in January! :) I have never been to Chicago (DH has) but at the end of January we would be VERY happy to see temps of 45 degrees! :yay: Have a great time planning the rest of your trip! :goodvibes

I run a fridge swap @ Pop if any of you are staying there in January we have lots of dates in January 2010 available. check out the link in my signature.

Thanks for looking!!

Do in true DIS die hard fashion I was up at 2:45, by chance to see if online ADRs were available. :surfweb:No luck. Too bad as this trip is a surprise for DD, so it would have been nice to get them done while she slept at the dining room table in comfort.

So I headed back to bed... up at 5:45, my PC and or disney dining was much faster than at 2:45. So at 6:00 am my 90 days +10 appeared online :thumbsup2

I "ordered" my ADRs from most important to least important, checking out every 20 minutes to not lose my ressies. I have never done ADRs this way, and it irked me... I am an order kinda gal and like to go sequentially :rolleyes1

Anyhow... I lucked out with all except my LTT ressies, my GF Tea Ressie and I knew I had to call for BBB.

So I called at 7:00 AM and got straight through to a great CM. I was her first call and she was ready. She was able to make my 4 ressies for me. I reviewed all my ressies including the online emails I received (love this- absolutely fab).

So here is what I have;

Sat Jan 23 - MK Day - Arrival Day
Tony's Lunch
LTT Dinner - I got the exact time I wanted on my arrival day!
:yay: surprised and you'll see later.

Sun Jan 24 - DHS studios Day - yes we're braving a Fantasmic day:scared1:
CS Resort - Breakfast
Brown Derby - Late Lunch
Boma - late Dinner (we're staying at AKL), we can then roll up to bed.

Mon Jan 25 - Epcot Day
Akershus Princess Breakfast
Coral Reef Lunch
Garden Grill Dinner

Tues Jan 26 - Epcot Day 2 (we always do them back to back)
Cape May Breakfast
Chefs de France Lunch
Le Cellier Dinner - at the exact time I wanted (for a party of 2- I was shocked:woohoo:) Filet here I come!

Weds Jan 27 - AK Day
Tusker House Donald's Breakfast
CS
Jiko Dinner - this was 1/2 hour later than I wanted, maybe they don;t open as early as I wanted, We plan on eating dinner and heading back to AK for EMH, even if it is only 30 minutes in AK at night, I want to see it at night!

Thurs Jan 28 - Resort Day
Boma - Breakfast
Snacks and CS lunch - Kidani Pool day!
50's PT Diner - early diner, early enough we may catch Fantasmic :wizard:

Fri Jan 29 - MK Day - Deluxe Princess Day princess:
1900 Park Fare Breakfast
BBB - MK Cinderella Castle
GF Tea
CRT - Dinner - this was within my hour window, but the later half of the hour... this is simply to eat in the castle dressed like a princess! :lovestruc

Sat Jan 30 - Pick a Park Day
O'hana - Breakfast
Chef Mickey's - Dinner

Sun Jan 31 - Last Day - late flight

LTT - early breakfast before MK opening - this was not for the time I wanted. Even the CM was surprised, because my arrival day was exact, but this one I had to compromise. I will miss my 8:05 CP ressie... oh how I love thee!

We are on the deluxe and have left some lunches etc open for CS. I don;t like using my deluxe points on CS, but with the signature dining I have chosen, some may be OOP.

My last day I want open, simply because I'll be stressed about check out, leaving my bags and flying late at night.

I will think on this today, and maybe add or change.

I loved the online system... I know from our last trip we tweaked our ressies in November, and there was felixibility. If I am not able to tweak due to bookings, then I am happy with what I have!

Now I wish I could go back to bed... but DD is now awake!!:upsidedow

DRAKES :cool1: Your ADRs look AWESOME!!! :thumbsup2 I think you and your daughter are going to have such an amazing trip together! :woohoo: It is so nice that she is still into the whole princess thing! My girls are pretty much done with the whole princess thing :sad1: Your Deluxe Princess Day looks like so much fun! :yay: Maybe we will run into you that day at MK! We will be there too! :cheer2:

what an awesome trip you and your princess will have!! I would love to do that with my girls, but DH would be SOOO jealous if we went without him.
But I am hoping that next time (not in DEC) we can do a girls-only tea at GF and eat in the castle once. Who knows when that will be? But my girls are definitely girly-girls, so hopefully it will last a couple more years.
Your adrs look great - I'm jealous! I hope you'll be doing a TR when you get back. Heck, I might even try to throw one together!
