Disney does have a back story for everything on the island, it's all written out in the book that has the room service menu in it.

Castaway Cay is gorgeous!

Emma, you're a British Literature junkie--any thoughts on Wuthering Heights? I'm reading it for my English summer project!

I'm all for anything that gets anyone reading Austen, even if they have to throw in Zombies - and you are right, most of the text IS word for word - I think that is what makes it brilliant!

Have you read any Jasper Fforde? You would love the Thursday Next series - the first of his books is entitled The Eyre Affaire I HIGHLY recommend it!

So sorry you are leaving Castaway Cay - but I can't wait to hear about dinner!

It's actually my SIL with Sam Brown on mainstreet. Apparently she spotted her and there was no one around (no one seemed to recognize her) so she went right up to her, had a pleasant conversation and took a pic. I think she was filming Samantha Brown's Favorites or something. It's the episode when she gets to try all the cirque de soleil stuff.

We too are DVC owners and are seriously thinking of adding points and taking the free 3 day cruise incentive. Will have to do some serious research for the cruise.

This didn’t seem to be open, pretty much all day. I guess the tides were too low at that time of year?

Is that a zip line?

Beach umbrellas lookin’ so pretty in the late afternoon sun…

Porthos, Dart, and Dad…I love all the tropical shirts!

That's a great picture of the men-folk... I especially love that Dad is carrying the little bucket of sand toys!!

The different colored umbrellas look so festive! It would have been easier (and cheaper, I'm sure) to have them all the same... but Disney knows how to give everything a visual punch... even beach umbrellas!!

Ahh Well... almost done. But, how lovely it all must have been!

I've been out of town, and so I was 3 posts behind...and OH MY GOODNESS. Those pictures are absolutely amazing!! I honestly think I could look at them all day. My hubby and I are talking about when we might be able to go on a Disney Cruise!! You've inspired me!
