Ugh...I just feel rather worthless at the moment. Thanks for letting me rant...

Girl, I am sooo sorry you had such a bad day!! And don't feel worthless. I was gonna ask you to about a different job. It does seem like you are always doing extra stuff there. I know right now might be a crazy time to get something else, but maybe you could ? If you even wanted to. I don't have any advice really, just wanted to say I feel for you and will be praying for you. Let us know what's going on!! Hope tomorrow is better!!

There is no way I could surprise my girls again! They would be so mad! They told me that when we go again, they want to help plan EVERYTHING!

Mine are 2 and 5 so they don't really do much planning yet. I think it will be better doing it this way. The countdown will be shorter this time. Last trip we told my son months in advance and all we heard for months was "how much longer?" This time the countdown will be less than a month.

Jan 23 - Feb 20!! I wish for that too!!

Did you see my surprise thread? I can dig it up for you if you want, it might give you some ideas. It sure was fun to surprise them!! But I don't think I'd be able to do it again!

Sure did I hope I can pull it off! DD won't have a clue anyway- she's 2 and DS goes to Kindergarten next year so I'll be sure to have some daytime hours while he's in school to get everything in order. It's the keeping my mouth zipped part that worries me. DH and I will have to come up with a codeword for Disney.

It's doing exactly what I am already doing, but having a title now, not just "peon". However, I found out today...after literally hunting down my boss, that they hired someone outside the company that has absolutely no experience in this field.
Me: um, Ok I guess.
Boss: Well Jessica (supervisor = very vindictive and manipulative ) knows this woman because she worked with her and she babysits for her child now, so she says she'll be good at it.
Me: Ummmm. Ok. So just to make sure I have this straight, because I am already doing this job, I don't get the title or anything that goes with it. But this woman who knows nothing about it, but does know Jessica, gets it.
Boss: Ok well it doesn't sound right when you say it like that.

So before I leave then my boss calls me into the office to tell me that they are looking at a position for me because I'm always at work, I'm always willing to pick up any shifts I can, I know what I'm doing, always help my fellow co-workers, blah...blah...blah. He just doesn't know what type of a position it would be however.

That stinks and is very unfair. Sounds like they took advantage of a dedicated worker and you should be rewarded for taking on the extra responsibilities. I hope you get the recognition...and pay raise...you deserve.

I want to surprise my DH with a trip for his birthday in December, but I can't really plan it now, because I'm not sure where we'll be then. (we're waiting for Army approval on a bunch of things right now)

However, I found a direct flight from MCI to MCO for only $119 on AirTran!

I wish I could just book it, but everything is so up in the air right now that I can't justify it.

Gosh! That really stinks! It's so frustrating to be busting your hump day in and day out and then get that type of "thanks". I'm glad that you stuck up for yourself, though. So many people just take it for what it's worth and don't see any results. I hope that they are able to find something really wonderful for you.

That is SO frustrating! It's happened to me a few times at my work! One I didn't even get an interview, and they hired someone fresh out of school...I'd been there for 10 years!!! I was devastated! (and he was bragging about it)! After 11 1/2 I have FINALLY found a new job. So now I only have four more work days until I can tell them to shove it! no, not really, I don't want to burn any bridges. but I have dreams about telling some of them that!

Monny2AE-we're thinking about maybe doing Movies instead of POP since they took out the icee's. Yes I know we can get icees at the local gas station, but it was just a nice "perk." I think my youngest would really love to see the Toy Story guys. He LOVES Buzz. My oldest was 2 1/2 when we were there, and he still talks about daddy's name being written on the bottom of Buzz and Woody's shoes.

Hi friends! I feel like it's been so long - it's really only been two days since I've checked in! Way too busy at work for two days to have any good surfing time!

Red - that just sucks! That old saying "it's not what you know, it's who you know" comes to mind. I hope that they find a way to appreciate you or you find someone who does. Hang in there!

I wish I could be coming in January with you all! As excited as I am about our December trip and cruise, I feel like the odd one out! I did get tickets for us to go to MVMCP and we're considering adding a night at AKL at the beginning of the trip. Maybe two if the four/three deal works out! I will, once again, have to DO MATH!!! UGH! So not my thing! If we extend that out, then we will have to fly or the kids will miss too much school. Plus I have to still deal with the in-laws that are coming with us. I don't know that they will all want or be able to add on, so maybe we'll have a few days on our own. That would be okay too.

I hope everyone is having a good week - mine is okay, just super busy. So tonight I booked a massage for Friday (my day off!) I'm so excited! My neck is so stiff it's ridiculous. Maybe I'll get a pedicure too. It's finally getting to be sandals weather here! Early mother's day treats for myself!

My niece & her hubby(marine) really want to do Disney & Fred offered to get the tickets & room deal for us. Can't plan anything yet he has to go to Africa in a few weeks so we need to wait till he gets back. I would really like to go early Dec that's DD bday. Plus I will have officially closed the shop for good. I will have a few months off before I go on to another job so I really want to try to do a vacay while I'm off.

Toy Story 3 is due to come out in June of 2010. For some reason I was thinking it was this summer but I looked it up and it's next summer. The premise for the movie is that Andy goes off to college and he donates his toys to a day care. We love 1 and 2 so I'm sure we'll love 3!

My dh's middle name is Andrew and we wanted to name him after my dh but we didn't want a Jr. either. We'll have to let all the Andy's meet in Disney!

I just wanted to let anyone who is considering purchasing an Annual Pass before July 31st that Disney sent out AP referral cards to current AP holders (including me). It's 10% off an Annual Pass, and each card can purchase 6 APs.

I just thought I'd include my Snowbird friends though I know most of you will not be returning before July 31st unless you already have an AP.

Sheree, is your cruise before the 6th or after the 10th? We are considering the first week of Dec. We have a ticker going for Jan just because it was so bare without it!! But, we may be changing it in a couple of months. I have heard a few rumors also about the 4/3 being released after Nov. 17th or somewhere around there.

Wow the code rumors are circulating already! I would be in heaven if they released the 4/3 deal again!!!! Is the rumor for the cruise only or the parks too? I better get over to the codes thread! Geez look at me stressing already over codes that won't be here for months! Here we go again...
