Soleil - enjoy your second honeymoon - looks like you will have good weather! But you already knew that!!
I can't wait to hear your report when you get back! (I mean on crowds, fun, weather etc! I don't want ALL the details - it is a second honeymoon after all!)

One more take on tanning -

Shortly after my 28th birthday and a few months before the birth of my Son, I was diagnosed with Malignant Melanoma. I was a "casual" tanner at best, had fair skin, and not a habitual sun worshipper. It didn't matter, as a very well respected Doctor at the Cancer Center I attended said "Overexposure from the sun is never good." To think that using a good sunscreen or covering up better may have prevented this drives me crazy. Who knows? I still may have had the problem regardless, but I could have and should have been more careful. I now have an 8" scar across my collar bone, and a 2" scar under my armpit. I see these girls walking around looking “day glow orange” and I wish they would be a little more careful with the tanning, but who am I to tell them. All I know is that I thought it could never happen to me. I was wrong. I am very lucky though; I can say that I am a proud 31 year old cancer survivor.:thumbsup2

I used to tan a lot but now I don't. I would consider myself a casual tanner (I went a handful of times before my sisters wedding and I usually go sporadically during my dance team season), but I try really hard not to go. I use the gradual tanning lotion now and I'm thinking of a spray tan. It's hard being pasty white and having to wear a two-piece uniform in front of 18,000 people! I have read way too many stories like yours and it scares me. Thanks for posting your story!

When you place your order just have the parcel sent to yourself @ CBR! The address is available over on the resort info pages. If it arrives before you, the package will be held until your arrival but now there is a 5 dollar holding fee charged for all packages shipped to a resort! You could probably wait a little while but not too long! I'd say maybe no more than 10 days before your arrival you should order! just a note: I have never actually done this myself, but know that this is what many others have done! HTH :goodvibes

When did they start this $5 holding fee.... I have always shipped ahead and never been charged......:confused3

I'm pretty excited. My DH let me buy new luggage! I love it! It's a very nice shade of blue. I've always hated having black luggage. It's too hard to pick out on the luggage carousel. So now I have bright blue luggage and I have pink luggage tags! 22 days from now, I will hopefully be checking into my hotel and settling in. Ahhhhhh....I can't wait!

Oh my we must be getting closer...you ladies are WAY chatty!

3 Weeks from today we will be more than halfway to Florida- well hopefully so cross your fingers!
I've got myself organized and am trying not to panic over my "To-Do" lists.

Here's what I need to make yet...

*B-day Invite for dh's Birthday Breakfast @ Chef Mickey’s and have the kids make him a bday Card and some cute posters for the room
*Nugget invites for the kids from Pooh for our Crystal Palace breakfast
*Pressed Penny Tubes
*Autograph book- bought the cardstock for it today...at least that's a start!
*Shirts/Sweatshirts for Me, my sister, my daughter, and possibly more.

Here's what I need to do yet...

*Go shopping for tennis shoes for all 4 of us...perhaps this weekend.
*Send a letter from Mickey to the kids
*Cash in my son's piggy bank of coins...at least what's left from me taking out quarters for laundry and pressed pennies!
*Notify Post Office to stop mail.
*Finish Packing!!!

I still have that feeling that I'm forgetting something though.

That will be Saturday the 24th. :goodvibes

I added it to the Snowbird Meets list on the first page of the thread! :thumbsup2
My sister, monny2ae, and I can hopefully make it. We will arrive at CBR that morning. Maybe she can get the kiddie's to bed before 8:30 and then sneak out and hubbie will have it easy!!
We'll try to make it- depends on how the first day/night go. If not I'll post pics soon b/c I'm sure we will all bump into each other in the food court at some point!

Great! :goodvibes I keep forgetting you guys are sisters.
Sometimes I'd like to forget that myself! :rotfl: :rolleyes1 (Oh I'm so going to pay for that one!)

Teakwondoemom(sorry mostly this is spelled wrong) made these - this is here thread

Also I ordered transfers from Amy Mickey (www.amymickey.com) and they are AMAZING. I bought my first pack of Avery from Staples and they did not turn out near as good as the ones I got from Amy Mickey.
Thanks! I needto stop looking over on the DISign boards. The more I see the more I want to make!
I am just using the LGMH and writing Snowbirds on it! :thumbsup2
That's all I'm doing and hanging it on my backpack. For those of you who aren't comfy posting pics on here perhaps you could just post pics of your backpack or bag? :confused3

OMG! that's so cool! I'll be happy with a few t-shirts. I would like to do Mousekeeping tip envelopes too. Hmmm...

Yep I made those too! My DH thinks I am NUTS :)

Thanks! I need to stop looking over on the DISign boards. The more I see the more I want to make!

I know, I thought I was done then yesterday I decided to check it out, well now I am making pillowcases...what is wrong with me?

yay! We have a brighter shad of blue luggage too and it's a lot better than black! I would always have to tie on a bright ribbon or something to set it apart.
I'm so psyched to put away my Christmas stuff so I can get my luggage out!!

Pasty white! I hear you sister! I would only get in the sun for some color to look normal. My Husband said my skin was so white that it made Wonder bread look like PUMPERNICKEL!:rotfl:

Isn't he sweet....

Bottom line is, (trying not to preach) be careful if you choose to tan.

I'll have to use that line on some of my pale friends....in a nice way of course. I'm sticking to the lotion from now on. I'm kinda nervous about spray tans, but my one friend looks great when she gets them. She uses a body scrub for a few days before she goes and she never ends up looking orange. I'll have to try that some time!

My list of things to do keeps growing by what feels like the hour! I come on here and read other people's lists and then run into my room to add stuff to mine. Right now, it's all crammed onto a post-it note. I guess I better move it to a piece of paper!

I have blue luggage. I wouldn't say it's "bright" blue, but it's definately not "dull" :rotfl: . It's sort of a pretty royal blue. Then I always find the uglies ribbons to tie on all the handles! Trust me, if you saw this bag, no one would want to steal it!:thumbsup2

Tanning related - I don't tan. Ever. I'm so beyond fair skinned. If I'm out in the sun for longer than about 5 minutes, I actually do burn. However, I never wear sunscreen while in FL and I don't burn. :confused3

Next week at this time, we should have our stuff moved into SSR :hyper: !!! We will have checked out in the morning from All Star Music and then spend some time in DTD before heading to our new "home" while we await for our guest, who should be arriving between 3:30 and 4 then we will most likely head off to EPCOT because we only have the weekend for her to see all the parks!

I saw that mentioned in another thread on the Resorts page. Some said they were charged and told it was new, and some weren't charged at all. Then the thread devolved into an argument about storing/swapping stuff, so there wasn't much of an answer...:confused3

I just bought luggage tags that are really bright and say "STEAL MY LUGGAGE? DO MY LAUNDRY" and stuff like that...

Unfortunately, ear is still blocked up - the nasal steroids did nothing. Picked up the Sudafed and I have prescription Motrin from a previous injury, so that's what I'll be trying on the plane.

But I WILL BE ON THE PLANE tomorrow, and probably drive my d crazy with "What?" all the time!! :rotfl2:

Just makes sure she sits on your bad side.

I mean, good side. ;D Anyway, the motrin and sudafed is what I take for flights when I'm congested so I hope it helps! When I'm really ill, the Sudafed lasts EXACTLY 4 hours, so be sure to time it "early enough to work, but late enough not to wear off."

ENJOY YOUR TRIP!!! :D

Wow!!! It is stories like your's that keep ME in sunscreen - I wish I could convince my DH, however!

9 MORE DAYS UNTIL GF!!!!!YAY!!!!:cheer2: JAN. 11-16!!!

See you there!! We arrive on the 9th and leave (reaaaaaaaaaallly early) on the 17th!

We went for BRIGHT PURPLE. I couldn't believe my DH went for it, because there ain't NO mistaking this for Minnesota Vikings purple. And yet, he will, without a care in the world, wheel around our BRIGHT PURPLE luggage. He's so great!! :lovestruc

Ugh I found out today that we will be getting 8-11 inches of snow over the weekend. :headache:

Ew. :( We're supposed to get "light freezing rain" Saturday night into mid day Sunday. Ick ick ptooey. Cross your fingers it's gone by dinner time Sunday, because it's MY BIRTHDAY and I want to not die on my way to the restaurant.

For those of you following along at home, you'll note that my husband is a Minnesota Vikings fan. And the Vikings are playing their playoff game on Sunday. At 4:30. My poor DH is going to miss part of the game for dinner. He said he'd miss the WHOLE GAME so we could do Stuff on my birthday, but that seems cruel, doesn't it? I even pushed dinner to a later-than-usual 7pm so he could see much of it!! It's only my birthday, it's not THAT important!

This time next week, I guarantee you I'll be running around like a chicken with my head cut off. I know I'll be completely packed, but the shuttle will be coming at 6:45 and it'll be time to gooooooooooooo!!!

*bounce*

I hope it's only up north and we don't get it too!

Well, doesn't he know that the Vikes are probably going to blow it anyway? Your b-day is WAY more important. Anyway, it will be on at my house, he could just call us from the restaurant and I'll give him the bad news! Just kidding. I don't mind if they win or lose actually. My DH is a big football fan, but he loves Pittsburgh. He can take or leave the Vikings. We've been joking that wouldn't it be funny if they both made it to the super bowl and we were on the cruise that day (first day). I'd find him in the sports bar watching the game!

I'm so sorry you are sick, but a big WOOHOO for tommorow!!!!!

I hope we run into eachother.:goodvibes

Thanks so much! We are so excited! Yes, I am bouncing of the walls today. It seems to be going by SO SLOW!

I'm going to print my Mousekeeping envelopes Monday at work...then I'm going to stuff them and have them ready.

Still haven't packed yet...but I'm thinking I'll start soon LOL
