I am on board with that!! I am always fighting with my sinuses and need the real Sudafed too. I keep a supply on hand! It's MAGIC!

Yeah, come fall, every time I go to Target, I head to the pharmacy and pick up my maximum allowance(*insert rant here about working retail, theft of Sudafed, and now having to show ID to buy it*). I'll probably need more before we to go to Disney!

Your gifts sound fabulous Sarah! I'm sure you will look beautiful with those diamonds. I wear them all the time - you know they go with everything!

Alas, not mine, but WENDY's! Lucky girl!

Actually, my DH got me diamond earrings a few years ago and then commented on how often I lose earrings. I am not proud to admit that I've never worn them since I'm afraid to lose 'em!!

(men!)

I'd switch if you can. The nice quite boat ride on your way home from Magic Kingdom at night would be worth it! It would really help to soothe kids who had been on the go all day. Plus you can watch the Electric Water Parade from the shore and do S'Mores! You might even save money if you look at the savings of having a kitchen vs. having to eat out all meals because of being in a value. Go for it girl!

That does sound wonderful -- I might have to switch from ASMu, too! But, Sharadoc, I've heard the same thing about rooms being blocked....makes things seem much more crowded than they really are. Too, the website isn't as accurate as calling a CM...

Good evening all! QOTD: We got a small Disney GC that we used to buy matching Mickey tshirts with the sales and 20% off was less than $25 for all four!! Lovin' it!! We also got a Mickey Christmas welcome mat and a really cool Disney picture frame my parents got at a craft store. If I could find my camera I'd post a picture. It spells out DISNEY and each letter you can put a pic! It's awesome!!! We also all got $100 cash from my grandparents! YIPPEE!! That should take care of more than enough spending money with the $200 GC and the birthday merchandise card hubby will get!

Now I guess I should go ahead and order a new digital camera...that still just p's me off!! I have NO idea where it might be. I even called the car dealer that we traded my car in thinking maybe it could possibly be there, but they said no...UGH!!!

QOTD -- I did get a Disney GC for my birthday but nothing for Christmas - I did however buy MYSELF more Disney T-shirts, adding to my collection - along with shirts for the rest of my crew....I haven't gotten brave enough to give the shirts to them....they'll know for sure that I have truly gone around the bend :rotfl:

...but I got such a good deal on them - 10 bucks for a sweatshirt and 4 for a Tshirt! Woo-hoo!!!

And for our resident baby boy [9 mos old when we go to WDW], some Mickey shoes and a Mickey hat and a Pluto shirt

Oh, and I know what you mean about losing your digital camera - I thought I had lost mine and I really wanted to make sure I had one [not only for Disney but for other stuff going on late last summer]....I ordered the new camera [I got a GREAT deal on it - it was a year-old model that has since been updated] then, sure enough, I found my old one [I think it reappeared even before my new one arrived].

Now probably would be a good time to get a new camera - wonderful sales going on ... and, with your family going in different directions, it will be good to have an extra on hand....so, it wouldn't be a waste of money even if you found your old one.

...one of the members of our group is the 12-year old sister of another member of the group. Her parents will not be going.

Has anyone traveled with a child who is not her/his own? What kind of documents do we need to take with us? I know her parents need to sign a waiver in case anything happens medically - also her insurance information. Is there anything else? We're getting our tickets ahead of time - will she need any identification to use her ticket?

Thanks in advance!

QOTD... did I receive anything Disney... well kind of sort of.....lol

DD received a new monogrammed disney beach towel, Tinkerbell movie, Beauty and the Beast movie, Fox and the Hound movie ( she loves Disney movies)

DS received a new disney monogrammed beach towel, a monogrammed fleece pull over with a Mickey golfing

D-in-laws gave me in addition to some wonderful gifts $100 to buy some new clothes for Disney

my mom and dad both gave me $$$ to buy new clothes for Disney

DH gave me diamonds to wear at Disney.....

I agree with Trixie! - I'm coming to your house next year! What a wonderful DH! And think of all the new clothes (that are on sale :thumbsup2 ) all that $$$ will buy! You'll be the best dressed gal at Disney!!

We travel often with other children.... our kids always like to bring a friend along and we also have had exchange students.

First thing we always get is a notarized letter stating that we can take the child, and that we can obtain necessary medical treatment as needed. Most banks have a notary... just make sure the parent doesn't sign the letter until they are in front of the notary. Then we get the child's medical card and information including home address. Along with phone numbers for the parents (home, work and cell) and someone else in case they can't be reached. Also their doctor and dentist. It sounds like a lot of work but it all can be on one sheet of paper. It is good to keep it handy at the airport. Make sure the child has picture ID as well - they should have a school ID....

hope that helps...

Wendy

Good morning birdies.

I leave in 7 days and haven't started packing yet. My problem is that I still need to wear the clothes that I am taking along. I have my packing list made, so as I put it in I'll cross it off. I've always been a last minute packer.

Well time to get ready for work. I've got no plans for tonight. Probably making the t-shirts for our trip. I have to work until 6:30 today and then be in at 9 tomorrow morning. Oh well...it's disney money!

Have a great day everyone. And have a safe and wonderful New Year's Eve!:wizard:

I'm right with you I won't pack clothes until the day or two before...everything else is a different story I will have a lot of that packed up in the next week or so...I'm hoping to just take one suitcase and one bag and then my cooler with items in it...other than that I think I'm set...although I really should be making a list of those things LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning everyone! I'm starting to put together a list of things to do before we go, and boy is it getting long! I need to just relax and not stress. We're going to WDW, it's not supposed to be stressful!

Hi Snownbirds, just wanted to say bye before I forget to.
I have been running around doing things. I am off to see the mouse!
I will give him a big hug from all the snowbirds!:grouphug:
 :woohoo: :yay: :dance3:
Talk when I get back on the 7th!:cutie:

Hooray! I'm so excited for you and I can't wait to hear all about your trip!

:goodvibes Hey Snowbirds!!!
I can feel the excitement over the net!!! I am so excited for those of you leaving this coming week!!!! Just make sure you have a good packing list and check it off as you go!!! This is what keeps me sane!

For all of you Sudafed takers----what's best? I usually take the PE in the purple box before bed, it makes me soooooo sleepy!!! But ya'll are saying not to take that one, so what should I get? My son is also getting the sinus stuff and I need to go get something for him today!!

aww I wish I had disney kids to share the magic with. But alas I do not yet. However.. I do live with a big kid.. I call him my fiance. ;)

So today has been devoted to playing on ridemax. Does anyone else suffer from this addiction? No I do NOT have too many things crammed in a day you silly planner. *sigh* I need to pre-trip post more of my results but I can't seem to pick just one option.

I am really making my Disney kids mad, I am leaving them at home. I am celebrating my birthday with my sister. Her 18 year old finally got mad when my sister opened her Christmas present, and her Magical Express bag tags were in it. Now, so everybody doesn't think I am a horrible parent, my Disney kids went in May of this year and we are going in August of 09.

It is snowing outside and I can't wait for the sun, I hope it is warm.

I buy the regular Sudafed that you have to buy at the pharmacy counters now. It comes in a red box I believe. It works like a charm on me!

When I had a massive eye/ear/sinus infection, one of my prescriptions was to take sudafed. My doctor recommended taking the 12 hour that comes in a blue box. I was supposed to take it every four hours (which I wouldn't recommend unless a doctor says to). It worked like a charm. I now take it when my sinuses are acting up with the normal dosage; that stuff is incredible and it is non-drowsy.

UGH...I've been trying hard to get LeCellier for 1/12 for a while...I can't believe you were able to get that ressie!

I haven't posted here in AGES. I'm getting ready to leave in 10 days :cool1: I can't believe its FINALLY here. I plan to lightly start packing over the weekend as next week is a VERY BUSY week so I don't want to do everything at the last minute.

To those that are leaving sooner...have a great trip!

I'm thinking we're going to cancel that one. :guilty:
Not because we're going I hope!

I just made some new ADRs this week for our stay at the end of Jan with no trouble too! I hope that is a good sign!

Are you wanting one in DHS? What about SciFi or 50's Prime Time? I've never been to either, but want to - heard great things. You'll need to call soon - I hear they're pretty popular.

We have decided that we will just do a CS at DHS. we usually split DHS and AK for one day.I am not too worried about it. I got a meal at CP for one of the people in our group who loves eyeore!
