Got to love my NDH...after I go to the bank to get my roll of quarters and my tip/taxi money, the great guy goes, "Hun make sure you put all the tips on the CC that way I can earn airline miles." LOL:rotfl: Oh well I went ahead and deposited some of the money back and will just keep some LOL

My Disney Mary Janes should be coming in soon I'm so excited!!!!!!

Soleil...I'm going to need to go over every outfit I have packed with you and discuss hairstyles while we're at...I'm sure I'll PM you soon LOL!!!!

We are all getting so close its so exciting..YAY!!!

I would love to!!!!

I'm looking for a foodie (or someone with vast knowledge on cheese plates). I need to PM you with a question I'm too embarrassed to ask publically.

:rotfl: Okay I'm definitely out LOL...I'm no expert on anything food, fashion, make-up, hair, or anything that way...however if you ever have a science question...let me know LOL

Okay the QOTD: Well my theme for this year was Disney!! I got a beautiful Snowglobe that has a lot of the Disney Cast decorating a Christmas tree. I got a Personalized Disney coat with my name which will come in handy on those cold nights....seriously people 38 degrees and you all are talking swimming...but I digress..LOL

I also got some spending money from my InLaws...lets just say they were WAY too generous and a really cute ornament that said on it I really wish I was in Disney World (it's a snowman holding that sign LOL) You can see pictures on my PTR if you are interested (shameless plug I know)

I also got a lot of Disney Ornaments this year to decorate my tree...so I made out like a bandit LOL

Also a lovely woman who I'm so thankful to call my friend..we call her Wendy on here...sent me two gorgeous shirts which will make their debut in my trip report...the sweatshirt I'm wearing when I meet the princesses for dinner LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In case any of you were wondering..Wendy is talented beyond words.

Another fellow DISer who I adore also made me my own personalized Haunted Mansion design..which I will be making a shirt into this week!!

So I had Disney coming out the ears for the Holidays!!!!

Hello Snowbirds!

It's been crazy around here! I have actually tried to post the BIG CHRISTMAS REVEAL twice and both times after I got almost finished I pushed the ESC button getting comfy and erased the whole post. :badpc: It's enough to make you not post for a few days!

But I just felt who better to share some Disney Magic than my fellow Snowbirds!:goodvibes

So Christmas morning the presents had all been opened when DD notices another present under the tree in the living room...We have 3 trees...Living room, Game room, Entry. This year we didn't put any presents under the tree in the living room so when DD saw one there she got a little curious!

The present was a large red shirt box with snow flakes on it topped with a large red bow and it said "OPEN ME LAST!"

We made DD and DS sit on the loveseat and told them " You will have to share this present. I hope it fits you both because there is no way to return it" DD and DS were looking at me like "What???"

Well they lifted the top of the box off and there was a letter. The letter said:

It all started back in July
A secret we’ve been planning…Just your Dad and I.

So we hatched a little plan, a surprise for you two.
Keeping the secret was tough…like holding your breath ‘til you turn blue.

We leave in two weeks for 10 days of cool!
Sorry to tell you… You’ll miss a little school!

I wonder if you can guess just where we will go.

Here is one tiny hint…
It’s

In…

Orlando!

DD and DS were both so happy! I think DD was in shock because she just smiled and said "OH! DISNEY WORLD!?!" And she was smiling this big silly smile.
We told DS that we were going to see Mickey Mouse at his house and he became very very excited!

and...

then...

DD then asked me "Why can't we leave tomorrow?" Huh? What? UMMMM EXCUSE ME!!!! She said "I wish you told me the day before we were going to leave!"

Well now! So! Sorry! Your Highness!

All in all it was great and I'm very glad we did the surprise! Looking back I think it was just too much to take in after all those presents. A little too overwhelming. DD said next time she just wants to be surprised the day before we go! Ha!

DD and DS are both super excited now and it has been all Disney, All day !

We have had on every Disney movie ever made and DD has been watching her bud Samatha Brown over and over.

I hope all you sniffling birdies get better soon and hugs to all who need them!

You are all a great group of Disney Nuts and I consider myself lucky to be in your group and to have found this thread many months ago!

I hope the new year brings you all loads of Pixie Dust, Laughter and Love and most of all many, many, Magical Moments!

I love your story! I'm hoping my DD won't get mad with our surprise. We're not telling her until the day we go. I hope she doesn't get mad and say, "Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

That's the thing about kids....you never know what they are going to say. You do it one way they want to other! But in the end it doesn't matter because we are all going to Disney, Baby!!! :cool1: :worship: :dance3: :yay: :woohoo: :cheer2:

You had me in tears! That's so sweet - what a great surprise. I've been telling DD7 about the people surprising their kids and she said, "I wish you could do that to me!" I guess I better keep quiet about our next trip!

aww I wish I had disney kids to share the magic with. But alas I do not yet. However.. I do live with a big kid.. I call him my fiance. ;)

So today has been devoted to playing on ridemax. Does anyone else suffer from this addiction? No I do NOT have too many things crammed in a day you silly planner. *sigh* I need to pre-trip post more of my results but I can't seem to pick just one option.

I think Crocs would be great! I imagine there tons of people walking around Disney right now wearing Crocs and Capris.:goodvibes

Do you have a pair of the Mary Jane crocs? I think they are really cute.

I love my Mary Jane crocs!! In fact, I wore out the blue pair I bought at the beginning of summer. Bought a replacement when a store was having 25% off its entire stock!

Okay, I have a QOTD!!!

Did you get anything for Christmas that was Disney related?

Strangely, I did not. I suspect some Disney related things for my birthday, however - which my family will likely give to me AT Disney!

awesome! we did something similar-we always exchange a small gift within our family xmas eve. My daughter asked a few years back why we buy gifts for others people and their kids and not her (she was an only when she asked), and I couldn't give her a real answer-so we made a new family rule-they buy for us we each take them to get something special (usually Target dollar Spot0and they are sooo excited about it) and we buy them something little-normally its little...ok so to my point.....
xmas eve after dinner, after church, xmas music on and tree lit-we start to give out gifts-but this year all they had was an manilla envelope-my son, 4, was not at all impressed "there's no hotwheels in there" (I cracked up)...well they opened it up-my DD went first as she is older (and it was more for her) for our magical princesses 7th birthday your fairy godmother calls you to her home for a special makeover, fireworks and a visit with the big cheese himself-MICKEY MOUSE Happy birthday Lexie-you're going to Disneyworld...and inside was a printout of the resort and the brochure to the bibbididi bobiddi boutique-the smile on her face was enough...then my son opened his which was a picture of him at Legoland (which he loves) and a note that says and for the special little brother an afternoon of fun at Legoland and a trip to Disney with mommy daddy and lexie..then the funniest thing they both asked-"so did ya buy any toys"...heehee-"NO you're going to Disneyworld" I exclaimed, in time they'll want that more, to a 6 and 4 yr. old toys rule-and letters are not so cool. But I'll save them so one day they'll look back and remember and it'll be a special memory. 25 days to go! Now that xmas is over they are all excited it' sall we talk about at dinner-what rides, what parks, what days and restaurants-we are so ready to go!
:wizard:

I have a question for all of you not on the East Coast (not to take away from the QOTD!). Here, I watch the ball fall in Times Square and that's the start of our New Year, since we're in the same time zone. But if you're in Chicago, it's only 11, and in California, it's only 9 PM! What do you guys watch for the stroke of midnight?

Four more days!

If I can recall, they "replay" the NY stuff on TV in the other timezones.... :lmao:

QOTD: We received an incredible present from my Husband’s parents, two Disney Gift Cards (they’ll cover the dining plan and then some). We couldn’t thank them enough!

AWESOME :thumbsup2

aaahhhh the QOTD:

I love this one as I feel like a got a bit spoiled. My sister bought me a beautiful Beauty and the Beast ornament from hallmark. I also got from her one of the Disney collection CD's for the flight over. My mother got me a trivia book for the trip and the Disney encyclopedia to freshen up on my knowledge.

My older sister and I chipped in to get our "baby" sister a gift card which she LOVED!

We are all sooooooooooooooo excited for this trip and call each other daily to share how many days/hours/minutes/seconds are left till we take off. I can't wait for Disney, and I cannot wait to see them!!!!

Okay, I have a QOTD!!!

Did you get anything for Christmas that was Disney related?

I got a $50 Disney gift card from my grandma. My sister bought me a Disney scrapbook and a ton of Disney paper. She also bought a big Tigger marshmallow. I'm so excited...8 days!

Hi Guys - 2 1/2 weeks left and I'm having resort anxiety!!!

So, I keep trying on the website to see if there's any availability at All Star Music Family Suite for the 4/3 deal and there never is. So, for a goof, I checked REGULAR reservations to see what came up. You know what came up - NOTHING!!!! There is not a single room (suite or regular) to be had at All Star Music during the two weeks we are there. That has me really worried that it's going to be way too busy and crowded.

We originally were going to stay in Fort Wilderness in a cabin. They DO have availability for the 4/3 deal and it would be slightly more than the ASMu total. Believe it or not, I'm thinking of switching. Ft. Wilderness WOULD be quieter, and have a full kitchen.

So, what do you guys think? I know you don't know our specific situation and all, but suffice to say DS (with Autism Spectrum Disorder) does not take kindly to lots of noise and crowds all the time. I'm worried he won't like it.

DH and I are going to have to talk about this tonight for sure. I'll let you know if we changed our minds tomorrow!!!

I'm heading home and will check in later tonight. Have a good one.

hi friends..... on the phone with Disney golf right now trying to book golf for my men.... yikes....

went thru my closet this morning and have 4 bags of clothes to donate!!!!! Sounds like the need for a shopping trip....hehe... soon... good news is I am down about 25 lbs and my blood pressure has already dropped 15 points!!!

Wow! Congratulations Wendy! I'm sure you feel more healthy and more confident as well! Good for you! Go spoil yourself girl - you deserve it! :thumbsup2

Okay, I have a QOTD!!!

Did you get anything for Christmas that was Disney related?

My sister gave me a Mickey hooded sweatshirt - perfect for the parks on those cooler evenings/mornings and "lightweight" enough to fit in my backpack!!

Not really anything DISNEY related ...we did get a whole bunch of American cash for our trip! WOOHOO :woohoo:

Hope all the sickybirds are feeling better today! :)

OOH - I would seriously consider switching! There's cool stuff at FW too! I don't like the crowded feel of All-star resorts, but I have done it once -pre-kids. Good luck with your decision!

I'd consider switching, too, if your kid doesn't do well with noise. Even when it's not full, the value resorts tend to be very noisy.

Well, I went to the doctor today; I have a blocked eustachean tube, and I may be getting a sinus infection. Luckily, he gave me some meds that I hope will clear things up before I go. And I can drink :drinking1while on them! So, it's off to Disney for me, no matter what!

I hope those meds help you feel better QUICK! You don't have much time to spare!

:rotfl: Drinking is what's important when on medication.

I hope this doesn't affect your plane trip if you're flying. I had a sinus infection when flying once and it was awful. :sad2: Bring lots of advil and water for the plane!

Hi Snownbirds, just wanted to say bye before I forget to.
I have been running around doing things. I am off to see the mouse!
I will give him a big hug from all the snowbirds!:grouphug:
 :woohoo: :yay: :dance3:
Talk when I get back on the 7th!:cutie:
