Wow they are practically my neighbors!

It's a small world!! We try to get to the area a few times a year. DH has a LOT of family there.

It's a cold and nasty day here today. Snow and sleet coming down as I type. I hope to have a snow day tomorrow. I'd love to be able to stay home tomorrow and relax, perhaps bake some more cookies.

I need to get my teeth cleaned.....I put it off every time! I hate going to the dentist! I don't know why, I hardly ever have anything wrong, but Geesh-gives me the Willies. I would rather go to my Ob/Gyn than the dentist. I know that sounds crazy, but people diggin' in my teeth really gets me. I really think I am going to ask for gas next time.Getting my wisdom teeth out was ok because I was OUT with an IV!!! I don't even remember going to the car!! Ha!!! I guess it's all psychological, but whatever, give me drugs!!

Amen sister! I HATE going to the dentist! :scared:

 I thought I was the only one who felt that way. I was actually sitting in the dental chair having that same thought - this is so awful I would rather go to the ON/GYN. :rotfl: Now that's bad! I just hate going to the dentist. I put it off so long that the last time I was there was May 2007. Oops!

I'm with ya!! I HATE going to the dentist. I had to go in last week for a filling. My cleaning is Thursday, but I think I'm going to postpone it. Things are crazy at work this week and I already had to be out of the office once this week for our son's Christmas program at school, which I must say was TOO CUTE!!!! Anything to get out of an appointment!!! :lmao:

It's been years since I've been to the Dentist! Hate the pain, the sounds, the smells, the PRICE!! Yikes! Hubby found a new dentist that has evening hours so I have no excuse...except I'm chicken.

No problem!

Now don't forget all the other little things before vacation. Hair appts, putting a hold on the mail, kennel arrangements for our furry friends, parking arrangements (if you park offsite at the airport), etc. . .

I am actually planning to do my hair on Friday. For those of you who don't know, before I was a SAHM, and before I was a banker, I was a hairstylist. Many many moons ago! :rotfl: So I am giving myself a little trim and some highlights this week.

Cut and highlight appt two days before we leave. I'll get my pre-Disney mani/pedi (can't afford them very often, but I got a Bday Gift certificate from Mom-yippee!!!) probably the night before. Order fresh contacts, give neighbors code to garage so they can check on the cats...I think that about covers it!

I, on the other hand, would rather have them diggin' in my teeth, than diggin' in my...well you know. :rolleyes1
I'm thinking I'll try to do it in January before vacation. That's probably the soonest I'll get in anyway.

After the year *I've* had, I agree with you. Much rather go to the dentist.

That being said, I had my post-op appointment today with my surgeon. I'm good to go! The best news is that she told me she got everything out during surgery. There was some doubt (though the surgery was likely to be effective even if she didn't get it all), but I'm absolutely thrilled. And now, I can go back to normal.

(Since my surgery, without the stress, my hair has stopped falling out, old wounds are healing up, and my skin is clearer. Plus I'm not nearly as run down. It's great)

Wow Sarah! That's great news! I shall keep praying for continued healing in your body! What a great thing to celebrate in the Christmas season! Congratulations! :cool1:

You are a talented woman!! I too worked at the bank-but am leaving my hair to my stylist! The only thing I do is trim my bangs!!!
Mine is on December 27th! Woohoo! I'm getting a fresh set of highlights.:thumbsup2

Same here~ Highlights on the 10th!

:welcome: It's never to late to join the Snowbirds!!
It's fun here and we are always nice! :)
Your trip looks and sounds fabulous!! We were "this close" to staying at the Poly too. We would have been there the same time.
Isn't it killing you trying to keep a secret as good as this? I keep saying I could never do it. Mostly because I HAVE to talk about Disney so much, and because my kids can now read and are always looking over my shoulder at the screen!

Good Evening Snowbirds,

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile as I have been feeling under the weather. I am at 4 weeks of having one nasty cold. It doesn't help that I work in retail and sick people keep coming near me. Oh well. I finally had enough and sinus pain I went to the hospital on Saturday night. The doctor told me that he still thinks it is a normal cold and since I kept taking decongestants that is the reason my cold has lasted so long. I am trying to stay off any cold medications but my ears have fluid behind the ear drums and I am really irritated by being hearing impaired and feeling bad. Only 8 more days to go until I can have a week of vacation time and stay away from other ill people! I am sorry for being grumpy.

I am so happy for everyone that their tickers are coming to the end! It is so exciting to see everyone becoming very happy and glad their vacation is finally becoming reality.

I wish everyone a safe and good night.

Work is keeping me too busy right now, so best wishes for everyone!

Remmy

Just wanted to say "Good Evening"...it's snowing here...not looking forward to driving in the morning...hope the plows are out.

I have to go wrap my Mom's gift exchange present for work and then I'm off to bed.

Mine is on December 27th! Woohoo! I'm getting a fresh set of highlights.:thumbsup2

My pre-Disney haircut is scheduled for Saturday. It really doesn't need to be done just yet but my last haircut was actually two hair cuts. My usual stylist completely butchered it  It was so bad that I had to find a totally different, well trained stylist to fix it. Hopefully saturday, they can continue to "fix" it so I at least look presentable for the holiday and for Disney.

Mornin' Ya'll! Less than 20 days to Disney

I'm trying to grow my hair out a little, so I'll see if I can con my mom into trimming it a little. But it's not that big of a deal because in humidity my hair gets rather large, so it's usually up in a ponytail. I'm so low maintenance, it's not even funny!:rolleyes1

I know what you mean, it seems as soon as I step off the plane in Florida my hair suddenly gets huge and frizzy :scared1: and ends up in a ponytail most of the week! Hoping for less humidity in January.
