Wow Sarah! That's great news! I shall keep praying for continued healing in your body! What a great thing to celebrate in the Christmas season! Congratulations! :cool1:

Congrats!!! What a blessing!! God is so good!!!

You girls are sooooo funny!!! I was rolling about all the Dental stuff! I can NOT imagine a dentist open at night---what a killer.

Thanks, ladies!!!

Our dentist is open until 7 or 8 a couple of nights a week (though it's got about six dentists in it. I frustrate them because I don't care who I see - hygenist or dentist. Whatever. Just take care of my teeth), which is nice and convenient!

how am I just now finding this board/thread??? woohoo! someone else to be as excited as I am!

Welcome!!

Just wanted to say "Good Evening"...it's snowing here...not looking forward to driving in the morning...hope the plows are out.

I have to go wrap my Mom's gift exchange present for work and then I'm off to bed.

Well, my corner of SE Michigan ended up not being toooooo bad, for weather and roads today. Now, Friday, with the snow/sleet/freezing rain they're predicting, that ought to be a nightmare. Lucky for me, I live on a bus route to work. When the weather's terrible, I let the pro's drive. And if I get to work because the pro's are having a tough time, now, why would you think I'd be there ANY earlier?!

I have 23 days to Disney!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Good morning all! It snowed last night and I'm now recovering from shoveling the sidewalks and part of the driveway. We have a plow service, but my DH parks in the driveway (only a one car garage), so I had to shovel around where he had parked. I'm pooped!

Hey I am at the same thing you are!! my ticker just states it differently! YIPPEE for us!!! I wish we were ME-ing together:guilty: Arent you sure you don't want to change that? Ha!!!! Well, we are getting together that evening-so that'll be great! Maybe you will get upgraded to the Poly. We can dream, right?:wizard:
.

I'm not staying on property, so I don't even qualify for an upgrade. :sad1: Oh well! It's not like I'll be at my hotel anyways! We're at the park from morning til close!

I don't even know where to begin LOL add me to the list? jan 24-31st

the trip is a surprise for the kids, we went in 03 with the oldest two celebrated turning 4 and 7 and now the one that was 1 1/2 at the time is turning 7 so we're going for her birthday (we also plan on going with the 2 yo now turns 4)

the 12 yo has guessed by seeing me posted on Dis but he doesn't know WHEN

We plan on telling them the a.m. that we leave, i'll pack while they are at school and hide everything in our closet. Sometimes I get so freaking excited because i can't tell them i feel like I'm going to BURST

:welcome: to the Snowbirds! We have some things in common! First- We'll be there the same dates! Second- We're surprising our DD too! I'm going nuts because I'm so excited and I'm not good with secrets. We're not telling her until the day we leave either. Third- We're seeing Fantasmic the same night! We're doing the dinner pkg at Hollywood and Vine. How exciting!

Welcome Welcome!!!  Your itinerary looks fantastic LOL!

I need to get my teeth cleaned.....I put it off every time! I hate going to the dentist! I don't know why, I hardly ever have anything wrong, but Geesh-gives me the Willies. I would rather go to my Ob/Gyn than the dentist. I know that sounds crazy, but people diggin' in my teeth really gets me. I really think I am going to ask for gas next time.Getting my wisdom teeth out was ok because I was OUT with an IV!!! I don't even remember going to the car!! Ha!!! I guess it's all psychological, but whatever, give me drugs!!

I HATE the dentist too! I put it off for a long time, but I've been going every 6 months for awhile now. It all started with some tooth pain I had in April 07. It was because I clench my teeth while I sleep. They gave me some muscle relaxers and I felt much better. Fast forward to April 08. Tooth pain returns. I ended up needing a root canal! :scared1: I was so scared! I had a very good specialist do my root canal and he was excellent. Speaking of wisdom teeth, I ended up getting dry sockets. Yuck! I don't smoke, I didn't use a straw, they couldn't figure out why it happened. I'd rather go to any other doctor then go to the dentist.

I don't have anything major to do before we go, other than the eye doctor. I'm trying to grow my hair out a little, so I'll see if I can con my mom into trimming it a little. But it's not that big of a deal because in humidity my hair gets rather large, so it's usually up in a ponytail. I'm so low maintenance, it's not even funny!:rolleyes1

I know what you mean, it seems as soon as I step off the plane in Florida my hair suddenly gets huge and frizzy :scared1: and ends up in a ponytail most of the week! Hoping for less humidity in January.

I'm hoping for lots less humidity, too! My hair's naturally very curly, but since I've started coloring & letting it grow, it's gotten straighter. But it's not quite long enough for a ponytail - just had it done last week. I don't know what I'm going to do if it gets huge! If I were going at Halloween, at least I could have pretended it was part of a costume!

Seventeen days & counting!!

The preschool just had their Christmas program. It was the cutest thing! There's nothing quite like 4 year olds acting out the nativity scene.:cutie:

AHHHH that is so awesome!! I love to watch little kids perform...we had a Christmas recital on Sunday and the kids all performed their Christmas songs for us...it was great.

Good Morning Snowbirds! Its cold here in NE Ohio and we got some of the rain/ice/sleet last night. My Df said the roads are alright, its getting out of our apartment complex thats tricky.

On a side note, Disney on Ice is here in Cleveland and there is a good chance my father in law is getting us tickets to go on Monday Woo Hoo!

Awww... that's so cute! I went to see a youth performance of A Christmas Carol over the weekend, and those kids were older, but still cute.

I love Disney on Ice!

Good Morning Snowbirds :goodvibes Yucky weather here in NE PA. Some snow, some rain and just plain dreary ....but in 19 Days I will be in Disney:cool1: :cool1:

I do have a couple of questions for you professional Disney Goer's :thumbsup2

I really don't want to carry my purse with me all day and I see from the pictures that the safe in the room isn't big at all, what do you all do with your stuff?

Tipping at meals...Do you think charging tips to the room is a good idea or should I figure on bringing enough cash with me for tips?

Thanks
robin

We got a TON of snow yesterday. It's really kind of awesome, because I haven't seen this much snow in a long time. It took them a while to get the streets cleared though, which is never fun.
Luckily I wore my snow boots!

I have to take a final today, and I'm being a bad kid and not studying. It's for my Environmental Sociology class, which is particularly boring. Since we had presentations the last few days of class, instead of lecturing us the material, he's making us read it in the book, which I'm having a hard time focusing on.
Oh well...
Luckily, my grades in all my classes are pretty stable, because my Senioritis doesn't seem to want me to study.

In Disney related news... I'm rethinking my Jikos ADR for our first night. We have to go to a Guest Relations to activate our APs when we get there, so I'm thinking that we might want to spend a few hours in a park, instead of coming back to the resort right after. I think I might at least try to get our ADR pushed back an hour, so we don't have to be rushed...
I'm really excited about Jikos, but I wouldn't mind trying some other places as well... choices choices choices...

My DD has her Christmas concert at school Tuesday morning. I can't wait! She's been practicing so much. Then, at our Christmas Eve church service, the kids (grades k-4) always sing a few songs. I feel bad because we've missed church a lot lately. We've been out of town, at dance related things, etc. We went this past Sunday but we'll be out of town again this coming Sunday. She only had one practice. They're singing "Away in a Manger" (did I spell that right?) and "Jingle Bells". I told her I'd print out the lyrics so she can practice.

I don't take my purse with me to Disney at all. I take only the necessities out of it and take them in a small bag-type thing I carry to the parks. I leave all the extras at home - keys, checkbook, extra credit cards, etc. That way my bag is very light.

We don't charge things to our room. We always have a rewards card from our Disney Visa for souvenirs and we only carry cash for tips.

It is a jolly holiday here at the church today. I've just gotten back from Belle's Christmas Party now and I am a sticky mess!!! Oh, to watch toddlers mix fruit, ham, cheese and green beans all in one bite. I have totally lost my appetite for the rest of the week. It was very fun, though. Her little friends are the most adorable things I've ever seen.:cutie:

Disney On Ice - Disneyland Adventure is going to be in Pittsburgh in March! I can't decide if I should get tickets or not. I'm pretty sure DS7's class will be going to it as their field trip. So that means that I will most likely be going too. Not sure if I should get tickets for the 4 of us to go to another showing or not. Probably will! :goodvibes

Yesterday my 2009 WDW planning DVD came in the mail. I told the boys when they got home. To that DS9 said - So what, it's not like we are going in 2009. And then he pouted! :rotfl:

I really just hope that my DF's dad can get tickets! If not, we could always go to the one in Pittsburgh! thanks for the tip

Our DS's Kindergarten Christmas program was yesterday. He had been walking around singing for weeks. It was so stinkin' cute! I cried, I laughed...

Disney on Ice - 100 Years of Magic was here over the weekend. We went. In my opinion, it wasn't as good as past ones we have gone to, but we enjoyed it nonetheless. The skating was "okay" and there were several big mistakes (falls). But, it was great to see all the characters!! Sleeping Beauty wan't in it, but all the other princesses with their princes were. Of course Mickey, Minney, Donald, Goofy. Daisy came out at the VERY END. The Incredibles were in it, plus they did a tribute to "Its a Small World". It was easy to get away from the night without buying anything...we kept telling our son we were going to Disney in 6 weeks.. :rotfl:

I don't carry a purse in the parks, and leave almost everything at home. We do carry a backpack. We've always paid cash for tips. Usually just carry a small amount of cash and our KTTW card with our charging privaleges and our IDs.
