Right now I am listening to the this podcast:

I don't know how accurate their information is but they do make some interesting points. I think they stated that usually in January the Disney Resorts are at an over 80% even up to a 90% occupancy rate. They are stating it is currently at a 35% occupancy rate. Like I said I don't know how trustworthy they are but you can go to that site and listen if you wish.

If it is true then we should be looking at pretty low crowds for January. I truly don't mind that as I don't like crowds. They also talk about maybe moving people to different resorts and shutting down complete resorts to save money. That does seem a bit drastic. We can see Disney cutting corners by cutting down Fantasmic and other things.

I have to go and run up to the school to get the kids. Hopefully today, school pictures will be sent home. I can't wait to see them.

Interesting idea. Maybe just shut down a wing or one building would be okay. That reminds me, I need to request what "island" I want at CBR.

What is you favorite place to vacation BESIDES WDW?

Well I love visit Colorado. My dad's side of the family lives there and I love it! I love to travel (wish I had more money to do it more often) but I love going to the beach. I'm getting married on the beach some day... I also love going up north to my friends cottage, it's so peaceful and quiet.

Ok I think I need to find me a job that I can get paid to travel for!

I came home at noon to rest as my sinus infection has been knocking me down. I was in no mood to deal with co-workers much less inmates today. SO, I'm laying here on the couch checking out DIS. I have the podcast going as I type this. This is my first experience with the podcast. Too cool. Wish I could get this at work...darn filters at work!!! 35% occupancy would be great! They also mentioned my first day at the park, January 20. The day the presidents change hands~wonder if the crowds will be low due to economy and the insecurity of what the next years ahead will hold.

I too wish I could travel more. My last 4 years of vacation have been strictly WDW during the winter. Anything to get away from the snow and cold. I guess I'm too insecure of my body to have any desire to go to Mexico or Hawaii. I would rather put on clothes rather than to take them off Our family vacations have only been to Door County or Wisconsin Dells...all within Wisconsin. A 3 hour drive away from home is considered a vacation. That's why I fly. Only a 2 hour and 43 minute flight non-stop to Orlando

QOTD - Let's see. I love visiting Seattle - I have a brother and his family there. I'd actually LOVE to live there one day - but don't think DH would enjoy that. We enjoy cruises, too.

QOTD- I'd love to go to Hawaii and Italy someday. I think that a Mediteranean (sp?) cruise would suit me to a t! I'd love to see Greece as well. I haven't been on any amazing vacations (besides WDW!). I love amusement parks (Cedar Point, Busch Gardens in Virginia)!

Well, the Old Navy holiday hours have officially begun. I always work at 9am and have a nice quiet hour before the customers start coming in. We started opening at 9am yesterday. In about a week or two, we'll start opening at 8am. So much for my peace and quiet in the morning!

I'd say for me a disney cruise, or visting Up of Michigan or even Henry Ford museum in Dearborn MI. Although I'd like to revist Wash DC as last trip was my first airplane ride and was a class trip. I'd also love to vist Philly someday.

Hey Snowbirds! Long time no see! Been busy trying to get this computer working all day yesterday and was at the school all day today working at Santa's Workshop.

My computer is running now but very very slow and there is still definitely something wrong. . .

Hello Mama Snowbird.... yes I am here... but only for the night... then off to the hospital for surgery tomorrow... should be home on Saturday.... we are looking at getting a new computer as ours is a little slow also...we are thinking of one of the IMacs....

Thanks to everyone for your kind thoughts and prayers... it has been a rough day for me... I have been second guessing myself... I am really afraid... I guess its just nerves..... they do consider me a low risk... but still... I just have had terrible thoughts all day.... maybe a nice stiff drink would help ... I am hoping that DH and DS get home soon... I am going to make them take me out to dinner... a nice big juicy steak... something I won't be able to eat for about a year.... they also just called and moved surgery to 11:15 am... instead of 10am... ...

Wendy!! Big Hugs to you!! And you'd better enjoy that steak!!! Everything will be fine...just have to get yourself there and then it will be over and done with before you know it!!
