I just bought a WII the other day at Walmart. Just about everywhere around here (Maryland) is out of them. I was told they just can't keep up with the demand. After calling 4 different stores I finally tracked one down. The price for it was $89.99 and that was all the places I checked. No chance of catching it on sale!!! Good luck!!

OOOH!!!!!!!!!! YOU POSTED!!!!!! YOU POSTED!!!!!! Now you're not a Snowbird Lurker anymore!!!!!!! I knew you had it in you!:lmao:

(That's my sister BTW!:cutie: )

Thank you for responding. :goodvibes

It looks like they are a popular product.

Thank you again for coming out from lurking to respond to me.:flower3:

Hey Snowbirds, have been going over the CS menus at allears trying to pick out our places. Any suggestions? Was thinking that maybe we would do the splitting meals thing. Order from the grown up menu & share with the kids. Having hard time w/ MK & Epcot. My kids aren't picky & will eat anything that's not spicy. How are the portions at the Oriental restaraunts?

Our favorite CS at MK is Cosmic Rays or Pecos Bills. At Epcot, we like Sunshine Seasons. All three of those have portions large enough for us to share, though we are not really big eaters. I would have no problem sharing with a child there.

Yes I leave for the magic place in just two days. I have to work till 2pm tommorow, then I have an appt. for pedicure. DH got me a box today from work, so I have to go get a ballon tommorow from the store. I will post a picture if I can. I am so afaird I am forgetting something.
Some of you got me taking down my xmas decorations. I just did the family room, used the excuse that my OCD could not take no room for the gutiar hero drums. LOL
I OFFICAL HAVE DISNEY ON THE BRAIN SNOWBIRDS!

:rotfl: WELCOME SISTER LURKER!

Thank you for the warm welcome. We are from Missouri - not real cold, but not warm either. We are flying, so that does limit the packing options. I'll be keeping up on this thread and see how the forecast is for the entire week - thinking warm thoughts....

Agree with Pecos and cosmic rays. But I can not stand the smell of sunshine seasons. I cover my nose when we go into the land building.

Cosmic Rays is a family tradition of ours. It is my favorite CS in all of WDW! There are SO many choices and always tons of seating available.

Disney Visa Question: How long does it take to get the rewards card once you order it? I'm waiting for my next statement but I hope I get it within the next 3 weeks!

Lots of hugs to all our sickie Snowbirds! This stomach bug has so many people wiped out! DS had it last week but neither DH or I have had it. Let's hope it stays that way ;)

The weather report is starting to scare me a bit! 60 degrees!! I shouldn't complain! It feels like heaven when it's 60 here in PA in January!

We will definitely be layering.

Hello Snowbirds... I'm back.... I have missed you all so much but there are over 100 pages for me to check so I don't think that will be happening.... can everyone just give me there own low down.....lol....I hope everyone had a wonderfully blessed holiday... ours was super. It was a very busy December.... I have recovered very well from surgery...had a birthday... Maggie has arrived home from college, and the last of my 2 week long out of town guests left a few hours ago.... phew.... I think I can get back to normal now...

I can't remember exactly, but I feel like it was sooner than 3 weeks. It came separately from my statement.

I am listening to Lou's podcast and there is a whole segment about pressed pennies. He states the books are about $6.95. Here is the link to the podcast. It is about half way through. He and a guest are thoroughly discussing all about it. I find it very interesting. http://www.wdwradio.com/ The link to the podcast is along the right side where you can click on "Listen to Show".

They are around $7-8 and you can get them almost everywhere! Our DS has so much fun scouting out the pressed penny locations! :goodvibes

Thanks for the info-I was thinking they were about that much. They were at least $10 on ebay so I'm glad I waited! We'll get them when we get down there! That's a fun and relatively cheap souvenier!

We just ordered ours and they told DH two weeks - they gave him a date. Or you could pay $10 and expedite it.

WOOHOO! Welcome back!! We have been wondering how you were. Lots of discussion of packing, weather, Shelly's big Christmas surprise. So glad to hear you're doing well!! We are all getting very excited for our trips. Some are even on their way already!

Remmy - I just have to say - you are SO NICE! I love how thoughtful and thankful you are! I wish I could get a Wii Fit and send it to you! Your posts are also awesome, helpful and inspiring. You ROCK! :cheer2: Not that the rest of you aren't nice, but...

Thanks for everyone being so nice to my lurking sister. Hopefully she won't creep back into lurkdomville now! popcorn::

Wendy I'm so glad you're back and feeling well again!

Yikes! I haven't even ordered it yet. :scared1: The points from paying for my package haven't been added yet and I was waiting until they are posted to my account before ordering it. I'm guessing the points will show up after this month's statement ends and the new month begins? I'm new to the Visa so thanks for answering my questions! :confused3

You can order the card and transfer any points you have now. Then you can transfer more points as you accumulate them. Once you have a card, you can transfer the points immediately with a phone call. Go ahead and order it now, and then right before you leave, transfer any more points you might earn. That's what we do and it works great!
I just found out I can use my rewards to pay for the DDP (well part of it!). I'm way psyched! Then I won't even have to bring that card along!

   Glad to hear from you!! Wow, two week out of town guests post surgery? You're AMAZING!!!

I was late to the game with the Visa and only have 11 points so I can't order it til I hit 20. It's not going to save me tons but $20 is $20 in Disney! If I can't get it this time I guess I'll have to keep saving on it and use it my next trip...oh my hubby would really be rolling his eyes if he read this! :lmao:

AH - I understand. We have been able to use ours for parts of two trips, this will be the third. Last year we only spend two nights and one day at MK. It paid for our park tickets! Needless to say, we use the card a lot. Most months we use it for gas, groceries and major purchases to earn rewards and pay it off. This year we put our cruise and WDW on it (and my MIL and SIL's portions) so we got TONS of rewards! Plus if you put your vacation on it, you get 6 months free to pay it off. That helped a bit! :)

I thought I also heard about a way to get it at the park too if you run out of time. I'm almost sure I read it somewhere on DIS boards. Wasn't that helpful?

Good evening. Hope all is well with everyone.

My mom is home now and we just got done taking pictures of all the bruises from her IV's to send to my sister. (yeah, we're a weird family :rotfl: )

I did the pre-order for the Photopass thing today, so that's taken care of. Tomorrow after work I just have to stop and pick up a couple more shirts and 2 more packages of transfers, then those should be just about ready to go. Other than that, it's just packing!

Soleil - (or anyone who knows) what is the website you are using for the weather reports? I wanted to send the link to my sister so she has a little heads up.
