I know yesterday was not a fun day for me, as my troublesome co-worker did not show up for her shift and I stayed later (11 and half hours total). I am still wiped. I hope I can last the whole day today.

You are SO funny! We'll be swimming and wearing shorts & t-shirts if it's 60!! Having grown up with "lake-effect" snow, anything over 60 is WARM!! I still haven't pulled out the winter coat yet - high was only 40 yesterday.

Our local radio stations haven't started playing Christmas music around the clock but one of the stations in the evening has the Deliah show and she's been playing Christmas songs so I get my fix then LOL

The only Christmas songs I have heard on the radio are on the Delilah show too. I think she is playing them every evening already.

Don't worry - they won't look twice because they would've seen us there in our polarfleeces, beanies & scarves already at the beginning of Jan!!! Where we are in Aus seems to have pretty similar weather to FL (including a cyclone - i.e. hurricane every few years). We're heading into summer here so will be leaving 30-35C days here to head for a Fl winter in WDW. Hearing about all these Snowbirds who plan on swimming or doing a water park in Jan just makes me want to go Brrrrrrrrrrr.

Don't worry - they won't look twice because they would've seen us there in our polarfleeces, beanies & scarves already at the beginning of Jan!!! Where we are in Aus seems to have pretty similar weather to FL (including a cyclone - i.e. hurricane every few years). We're heading into summer here so will be leaving 30-35C days here to head for a Fl winter in WDW. Good morning everyone! I'm debating on what to do this morning. I know that I should go to ballet, but once again, my hamstrings are super tight. I should have stretched better before my 9am-4pm dance practice last Saturday! I have lots of to do and the house needs a good cleaning, even though I cleaned on Sunday morning! I have quite a few errands to run too. Hmm.......I think I'm skipping ballet again!

Meghan... my MIL bought a tree at Kmart last year... it was a Martha Stewart one.... it was beautiful.... you might want to take a look there...

Believe it or not, I have no idea where the nearest Kmart is! The new Old Navy I work at is actually part of the old Kmart. They gutted it and it's now 5 new stores! I'll have to go to their website and do a store locator. Thanks!

Good morning, Snowbirds! Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

I added one more reservation to my schedule - no, don't worry, Shelly, it's not dining! It's the Around the World Tour on a Segway at Epcot! I'm so excited. I booked it for the end of the vacation, so that if (when) I fall off and break my leg, it won't be that bad! D of course is a dancer and a past gymnast, so she should have no problems at all.

I am usually a sucker for those tear-jerker songs but the Red Shoes one just doesn't do it for me. Well, maybe the VERY FIRST time I heard it......but then they started playing it every single hour......overkill!!

It's called acclimation LOL!!! I went from running around in shorts when it hit 32 degrees in February in Alaska to sweaters and gloves when it gets down to 60 degrees in October. I know I'm a shame LOL!!!

It's just funny. My DH got acclimated from rural Minnesota to Boston (warmer) and then had a hard time adjusting back to Michigan when we moved here... and now he just can't handle any wind at all! But when it's over 50 in the spring, out come his shorts!

I know yesterday was not a fun day for me, as my troublesome co-worker did not show up for her shift and I stayed later (11 and half hours total). I am still wiped. I hope I can last the whole day today.

I didn't respond to your "crankypants" last night, but you made me laugh. Which probably would have made you crankier so I kept my mouth shut! I just pictured you sitting on the floor with your computer, being unhappy but just too stubborn to move! Kinda like this: .

Soleil- Thank goodness I had the day I had yesterday or your Brownie would have sounded yummy.

Yesterday was a blur for me. My son had the stomach flu. My daughter started with the diarrhea part of it last night- in the tub! Nice. I'm just hoping to have a little less cleaning up of bodily fluids today. And my daughter is now a big girl sleeping in a big girl bed. I took off the front of her crib to convert it to a toddler bed yesterday afternoon. She climbed out- or rather fell out- yesterday morning so it was time. That's it for me with babies in cribs. How fast they grow!

Hope everyone has a good one! I'll try and check in later- my little day care girl should be here soon. I'm really hoping she and my my dd don't start today with what my ds had yesterday- that's the last thing I need right now!

Haha, yeah, about like that. I did come to my senses and go off and watch TV instead of pouting on the floor! I was able to laugh at me, even then, because my mood was so sour ... and I've finally figured out how not to feed in to it. Partially by telling everyone I have on crankypants.

...we're going to buy a new wireless router tonight. So I won't have to sit on the floor again!
