Well have a nice night Snowbirds. I need to go make supper and tend to the family! :goodvibes Tomorrow will be a long day at the school. Our fall fundraiser items are being delivered and the PTO has to sort and deliver them to the classrooms. Fun Fun!

I expect there to be codes waiting on me by the time I make it on here tomorrow!! :rotfl:

Good luck! We just did the same thing at my daughter's school. I was the asst chair for their wrapping paper sale and I was up to my eyeballs in paper! :rotfl:

Was just wondering if any of you snowbirds also make your cards???

I'm a huge scrapbooker too!!! I actually have already bought my album and a lot of the paper and stickers for my January album. Lately a lot of the craft stores in my area and I'm very lucky I have 3 of them. Have been having some really really great sales and I have bought a lot of things 50% off!!! I don't even want to think about how much I have spent on scrapbooking stuff...I imagine I could have gone to Disney a few more times LOL

Count me in as an insane Snowbird! I've been scrapping for 5 years now, and became a stampin up demonstrator about 2 years ago to finance my 'habit'. I've aleady made about 40 christmas cards this year, (mainly for show and for my Nan to use), but am planning on sitting down next week to churn out quite a few. Last year I made 68 cards, this year I need about 100!

Thank you so much :goodvibes I'm going to see if I can't get a dinner there and then maybe find a spot down on the ground where I can view Wishes from a far for my first night in town. If not I might head over to Poly!! I'm trying to meet all the characters I can LOL I'm such a kid at heart!!! THANK YOU AGAIN for being so helpful!!!

On the last night of our one previous WDW visit, we had dinner at CM, and as we left we walked outside to take photos in front of the HUGE christmas tree. Well as we were taking the last photo, the MK fireworks started, so we just stood there and watched our unexpected WDW finale. Probably not the best viewing position, but the spontaneity of it all made it truly magical for our DDs and us!

Stampin Up Is Awesome!! I just made some thank you cards this past weekend to use throughout the holiday season!! 100 cards WOW I make like 30...you are amazing!!!

Thanks for the great advice on CR, I'm really thinking about where I want to spend my first night at the World. I'm going to try to get in early and hopefully have a room. If not I'm going to at least go enjoy part of a day at a park and just relax!!

I am so impressed! I made scrapbooks for a while and would love to motivate myself again. I'm about 3 years behind!

We're Christmas card crazy here - I'd love to make my own. Maybe next year! I ordered mine from kodakgallery a couple of weeks ago (couldn't resist the 35% off coupon). I'm insane because we send about 200-250 each year. :scared1:

I would love to scrapbook. Maybe someday I'll get around to it. My mom is fabulous at it! My sisters and I didn't get the crafty gene I guess. She also sews which is something none of us do as well. I love going down the scrapbook aisles at the stores! The stickers and the paper are all so much fun, I just don't know what to do with all of it!

Yeah, I used to make my cards, but our list got so big, I couldn't make that many! Now we're up around 85, and that's too much for me. I keep considering it, but I should have started by now!!
I scrapbook, and stopped working on my girls' books to do our Disney album (which includes 2 trips) and my parents' wedding album. Now I promised myself I would work on my DD7's book (I'm up to her at age 2 1/2!) before any more vacation books. I'm dying to do our last years' trip. I bought so much stuff!! I have tons of Disney stuff too.
At Target they have punches of Mickey and a crown, castle, glass slipper - there are three in a set! Two sets. Way cool - I think they're about $20 each. I WANT THEM!! Might have to buy myself a couple of Christmas gifts!:santa:

Oh all this talk of scrapbooking.:worship: I'm so behind in the regular stuff no way could I find time to make Christmas cards! I just finished scrapping my Christmas pics from 2007. Next on my list is my son's 4th bday which was in April. I wanted to be caught up by Disney but I'm not so sure. I can't seem to stay away from here long enough to get anything done.:lmao:
I brought up 2 suitcases from the basement for our little weekend trip this coming weekend and set them in the doorway to my bedroom today. As soon as the kids got home from school DS7 spotted them. He got this huge smile on his face and said - HEY WHAT ARE THOSE SUITCASES DOING UP HERE???:yay: They still have the LGMH's attached to them from our last trip. I think he seriously thought we were going to WDW. Poor little guy. :sad2: But judging from the look on his face Christmas morning is going to be something else!! :santa: :cool1: Can't wait!! :goodvibes
Christmas is going to be sooo much fun! Please remember to share pics and a full play by play!!!!

ME TOO!!!!!

I wanted to share my excitement with my snowbird buddies:

Our trip is now officially...... PAID IN FULL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats! :woohoo: I'm so jealous.
I have started a little packing of shorts and some T-shirts. Normally, I would probably be pretty much done packing already, however Wisconsin is having a heat wave this week and my DD's and I are going to a waterpark in Sheboygan next week, so we can't pack the swimsuits until after that trip.
I packed up our swim suits too but I am still really worried about what to pack- shorts, pants, coats, gloves and hats...a little mix of everything I suppose. Ugh I hate not knowing. All the other WDW trips have been the same- HOT! Don't get me wrong I am really looking forward to not sweating the whole time but the packing concerns are going to send me to the looney bin- unless my code watching obsession sends me there first. :rotfl2:

Okay I haven't started packing yet!! I have bought my Vera Bradley and I have a bookbag and a few other things I have gone ahead and purchased...but to actually pack...nope!! Well being the Southern Weather Pansy that I am I can tell you now I won't be swimming so no need for the swim suits!! Right now I just want to buy a new jacket and some long sleeve shirts LOL!! I'm totally going to be wearing layers there!!!

I just bought the Mickey head set the other day and I put the Cinderella set on my Christmas list...I hope I get it.

Finding Nemo is on the Disney Channel!!!

Shark Bait...Oo Ha Ha

This is one of my all time favorite movies!:goodvibes

I found a Target Gift card my aunt sent my hubby for his Birthday...well since he couldn't take care of it properly...I guess I'll just have to hold on to it and maybe invest in some punches LOL...or a jacket LOL!!

QOTD: I don't know if I've been there enough to start a tradition yet!! However I think this time I might actually cry when I see the castle, because this trip means so much to me!!
Oh I feel the same way. You made me cry just reading your words.

So I had to just check my flight status for Air Tran and nothing has changed. My mother booked these flights in June (we weren't even positive we were going and yet she booked flights).

I admire all you that can fly NW. I refuse to. I've flown with them way to many times and never got luggage, flights canceled - one was actually canceled as I was on the plane, dealing with absolutely idiotic customer service people - I had someone tell me that I got booked on a flight that doesn't exist because I have an "old" computer and it still registered the other flights...it really took all my energy to not burst out laughing.

I know a lot of people that fly with them and don't have too many problems. I think they just see that it's me and think "what can we do to her today"?
Our flights have also been changed with airtran. We leave 30 mins. ealry which is fine with me. WDW sent me a letter. Price has changed so:headache:

MAGGIED Love all you pics. I cant wait to see that tree in person at AK. You go me so excited.:cheer2: Then and now are my all time favorite to take a wdw.I enjoy seeing how much they have grown.

QOTD: Pizza planet. I know... But we ate here for the first time in 2000, and DS said then that this would be our family tradtion. We also like dole whips, and mickey bars.

We've started packing here...beach towels, shampoo/ bath stuff, pop up laundry hamper, capris, sandels...things that we aren't using.

Okay I totally just watched the Wishes show on Youtube and its settled! I'm so taking my video camera with me to Disney World. I don't think my camera will do justice to these pictures...although I plan on trying to learn how to use the fireworks setting, but I really want my own Wishes video!!

FLIGHTS . . . So, Delta changed our flights on the way home. They tried to give me a 12 minute layover in Atlanta! :lmao: I said to the woman "Is that even possible?" She, thankfully was able to get us a different connecting flight. On the other hand, we changed our flight down to Disney to the day before so that we could visit family. It is costing us an additional $450 :scared1: $100 per ticket for the rebook fee + plus the difference in the cost of the flight. Stinks!!

Technically... it probably would be possible as long as you didn't have to switch terminals. Usually, when I've had layovers in ATL for Delta the other gate is across the way from the one I'm getting off at... If you chose seats at the front of the plane, you could probably get off fast enough and they would probably be waiting for you to check in... unless your flight was late, so it's probably better that you got a different one....

WOOT..me too!! I would love to work at Disney!! One of these days I'm going to bite the bullet and apply at Animal Kingdom..that degree in Biological Sciences with an emphasis in Animal Physiology has to have some Disney benefits LOL!!

Sounds fun.... I would love to work at Disney, but living in Florida doesn't really appeal to me much.

Jeez, I keep forgetting to mention this. I had an email from Disney Destinations this a.m. "reminding" me that time was running out on the great fall package. Of course it says you must book it by 12/7/08. I saw the Destinations name and got all excited, until I saw the title about "Fall Getaway". Dang!

I got one too...it was slightly disappointing

Awww... that's cute!

As far as packing... I'm no where close at this point. First of all we've been having warm weather (I just hope it lasts through Wednesday, because I can't remember the last time we had a beautiful sunny day on my birthday) Second of all, I pretty much wear all my clothes most of the year. I'm not a big shorts wearer, and all my tops I tend to layer the heck out of, especially when I have to work. I probably won't even begin to pack until I get home from school in December and put all my clothes through the laundry. I have begun thinking about wardrobe for the trip though. It's just a matter of actually putting together outfits for each day, and maybe making a few more additions before the trip.

We've started packing here...beach towels, shampoo/ bath stuff, pop up laundry hamper, capris, sandels...things that we aren't using.

PoP up Laundry Hamper...I'm thinking this might become handy...may I ask where you can find one of those??

Wait... do you have to pay the higher price?
We've eaten at Pizza Planet every time we've gone since it opened. The first time it was novel, but the second time it was because my little brother has been going through an only eating pizza phase for the past 4 or 5 years. We hit a pizza place at every park... it was slightly frustrating, but he's the baby so what can you do? Also, MGM CS is not very appealing anyways...

PoP up Laundry Hamper...I'm thinking this might become handy...may I ask where you can find one of those??

I got one at Bed, Bath & Beyond or Walmart when I started school. It didn't hold up to my exponential loads of laundry though. I think it broke after the first semester.

Usually you can find them at dollar stores, Target and the like, I think I've gotten them at Bed Bath and Beyond. We use them at home to store stuffed animals!
