Wahh!! As an Aussie, I have to pop in here and mention that Orlando isn't actually Australian, he's English!! I wonder if that changes your decision!?

My favourite Disney guy is ... Jake Gyllenhaal!!

He's filming a Disney film at the moment, The Prince of Persia. It used to be a video game apparently, and now Disney are turning it into a big blockbuster starring Jake!

He's all buffed up for the role, though the only photos I can find of him filming are shirtless, and as someone else said, we need to keep this family friendly!! So here's Jake with his shirt on...

I had a good day. Work was alright, I didn't want to kill too many people . Then I got home to hand out candy and I just sat outside, it was GORGEOUS out!!!

Well I'm off to bed now. I work all day and then get to have an afternoon all to myself.

I also got my birthday present from my brother tonight. It was in Aug. and I would always ask him what my present was. BTW I got him a Wii for his birthday! . So he got me a mickey watch.

Last night DS asked if we were going to put up the Christmas tree today.

Photo sessions at the resorts.

We were thinking of preordering the photopass CD and booking a photo session at one of the deluxe resorts. I went over to one of the threads on it and now the price seems to have jumped significantly.

I was wondering if anyone has had one of those photo sessions at one of the resorts and felt it was worth the money. I have read that the session may or may not go well depending upon the photographer and of course how your children wish to behave that day, at that time. Some are now doing it themselves.

If anyone wishes to give me any guidance on this issue, I would appreciate it.

The US falls back tonight.

Remmy, I observed a photo session at OKW. It was parents in their 60-70s and their 4 children with families & the dog. The parents wore black shirts & jeans, and each child & his or her family wore a specific color shirt & jeans. The photographer was very patient with them & posed them very well, I thought. Photos were taken indoors and out.

I don't see any reason you "couldn't" do it for yourselves, except one person would have to be the photographer & not in the photos, or else use a tripod & timer.

One thing to consider with an official photographer - people didn't just barge right through while he was setting up.

Hey, all! Question...when does the US fall back? This weekend? Or next? I get so confused with the time changes! We fell back the first weekend in October. I get the feeling things are changing this weekend in the US, but I'm not sure.

We all "fall back" an hour tonight! (technically at 2am). I LOVE the extra hour sleep but I will hate leaving work when it's already almost dark!! I'll be sleepy for the next week trying to adjust! Why can't we just leave it alone already!!!!!!!!!

Good morning and Happy November!! Kind of hard to believe!
We had great trick or treating here last night - great weather! One of the parents had his 4 wheeler pulling a trailer. Mostly the parents rode in it and the kids ran up and down to the houses. Some parents walked along too, and there was a cooler for parents' refreshments. It was a lot of fun, even though I walked the whole way!! My kids went farther than they ever have before. So today, my legs are sore since I walked the dog for 45 minutes in the afternoon too!!

Oh well, I'm off to Target to score some deals on Halloween shirts and maybe some other fun stuff. Definitely don't need candy!! (except between my two kids, only ONE Heath bar!!

Happy Saturday, all! And happy November!

My Michigan kids won their hockey game last night. Though, at the end of the first period, I wondered if a hockey game was going to break out at the fight (it was against FOOTBALL rivals Ohio State!). Despite OSU shooting more with better defense, Michigan won. Knock wood they can do it again tonight!

My doctor did actually call me this morning (woohoo!) and I do continue to feel better about my surgical procedure for the 14th. She did actually say "That's why I stopped practicing at that hospital" because the pressure is so great to see more people and do more more more in less time that it's overwhelming for the clinicians. I can see that (and our discussion actually ended up with a "state of health care in Michigan"), really, and she said that the patients really need to rise up and complain. So she understands why my questions weren't answered and I was rushed out the door. I do appreciate her taking her Saturday morning to answer my questions, however!! So we're going to go forward as the surgeon recommended.

I have my pre-op appointment on Monday (DH does not have jury duty - woohoo!!) and my doctor told me I need to insist on having bloodwork done, since they occasionally skip it with young patients.

so I am pleased and thankful that things are brighter than they were for me on Monday!

Plus my first niece/nephew is due this weekend!! Keeping fingers crossed but I CANNOT WAIT TO BE AN AUNTIE!!!!

I can't wait for it to be over either. My office is having a party on 11/5 just to celebrate it being done! We make up reasons to bring food and party!
My DH is a mailman and has been working longer hours than he usually does for Christmas time mail. It's been so heavy! In the district he delivers, there is a hotly contested congressional race and yesterday he had 4 mailings just for that! Plus our senate race is pretty tight. UGH!

Off to Target I go!
