AP rates are out for January............ I wish my travel agent was in this early so I could call her,...............not sure if I want to renew my AP or not.......... someone just got WL for $144 a night

Okay I'm going to have to give in and ask....I keep seeing the bouncing Mickey and the I've been boo'd. What is that all about and how does one get Boo'd LOL!! I've been curious for awhile and just haven't thought to ask you guys.

Someone has to PM you the "bouncy mickey". There also some for thanksgiving and Christmas.

I got Boo'd a last year...it made me feel special!:rotfl:

I read about being boo'd somewhere on the Dis. As you can clearly see from my sig, I've never been boo'd either.

I am still new but I will try to boo all of you. Sorry about the lateness, but I will try right now. Keep your fingers crossed, me and computers don't truly mix.

Shelly--Thank you for the CS menu from Sunshine Seasons. That is exactly where we were thinking of going. I think it has more of a selection for the children. I have heard you have to stand in different lines and it is a very popular spot. We will have to see when we go how difficult it might be. It will be worth the try, as I think my children might become tired of chicken nuggets or burgers for CS. I also liked seeing the menu for Chef Mickey, as that will be our last stop before we have the long drive home.

You're welcome! :goodvibes We went to Sunshine Seasons in 2007. It was very crowded and the lines were huge. We had to search for a seat for what seemed like forever. I would suggest going at an off time!

Hello and Good Morning Snowbirds,

I was talking to DH last night before he left for work. I told him how so many people were getting emails with PINS or codes in them. I stated how important it was and we had to look for the email from "Disney Destinations", as this is what others have said. Now we both have our own email addresses, and we both are subscribers to Backstage Pass, their newsletter.

DH then said, I don't always read those and just delete them. I had one a few weeks ago, although it didn't read in the message part the same as usual but I just deleted them. :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

My jaw just dropped. He then asked what the big deal was and what was a PIN or code. I explained it to him very calmly. I then demanded no more automatically deleting Disney messages.

Now Snowbirds, my husband didn't just fall off the dog sled here, he has been on these boards, listened to all of the DIS podcasts, and I have stressed in the past how important these PINs or codes are. :headache:

I will only hope it was something insignificant or for codes for this year. I don't want to think about any other possibilities. And to think, I have been searching my emails and spam all this time and they might have sent a code to him?!?

Hello all, :wave2:

Decided to jump right in here. I’m not new to the board. I just tend to do more lurking than posting usually. :) I have been following this thread for a while now and decided to finally post and say that we will be snowbirds as well.

We usually go in the beginning of March, but decided to give January a try. It will be nice to have a break from the cold PA weather that time of year.

We will be there from January 16-31. Just my DH and I will be staying at CBR for the first half of our trip, 16-23. This will be our first time staying somewhere other than AKL. But CBR seems like it’ll be really nice. And then my parents will be joining us for the 23-31 at our favorite, AKL.

We will be eating at:

Jan 16 – Tutto Italia dinner
Jan 17 – Ohana Dinner
Jan 18 – Hollywood & Vine dinner
Jan 20 – Trail’s End dinner
Jan 21 – Shutters dinner
Jan 22 – Hollywood Brown Derby dinner
Jan 23 – Wispering Canyon breakfast/Boma dinner
Jan 24 – Coral Reef dinner
Jan 25 – Biergarten dinner
Jan 26 – 50’s Prime Time dinner
Jan 27 – Teppan Edo dinner
Jan 28 – Le Cellier dinner
Jan 29 – Whispering Canyon dinner
Jan 31 – Boma Breakfast

:welcome: to the Snowbirds! YAY ~ Another Snowbird from PA!! :cool1: What does that make, like 10-15 of us???!!!

Your plans look great. I will also be at CBR. It's our favorite! :goodvibes

Thanks for the boo, but I just can't seem to get it to work. It won't show up in my signature.:sad2: I will keep trying though!!!!

Well, I'm definately staying in bed today. Eventually I will need to run to the store and pick up some sinus medicine because I'm all out! It's only in the 30's here today and I'm not looking forward to the bus stop!!!

Gosh we get a lot of people from PA in this group don't we?!
Not that there's anything wrong with that... Just an observation! :):rolleyes1

I think someone mentioned on here that PA has the highest number of visitors to WDW than any other state. . . You don't think it has anything to do with our lovely weather do you???!!! :confused3 :rotfl:

I never knew that! Here in NY, we get the same kind of weather, so I feel you!

I think we will skip this ride as they have a similar one at Canada's Wonderland in Toronto and they went on that ride there.

My question, and this is out of curiosity, not to upset anyone, is if there seems to be many people that it isn't a favorite ride, will they change it to a Cars themed ride? I am looking at a map of MK right now, and it seems quite a large area. I only ask as I have a DS who loves everything Cars and we would love to have some ride, in any one of the parks themed this way.

As a disclaimer, I have never rode the ride just walked by.

I don't think they'll change it to Cars; I have a feeling that they want to keep Cars at Disney Studios, and not bring it into Magic Kingdom. Buzz Lightyear is different because of the "futuristic" atmosphere of Tomorrowland. But of course, I have no particular knowledge - just a gut feeling.

We rode it once - BORING! And the wait, out in the sun the whole time standing over that bridge, can be excrutiating!

Well, it's 35 degrees here in MA, high to 48. And still dark when I leave for work. Can you say, "Florida"?

okay.... yikes I forgot to get a preferred room so I had to call back.... preferred rooms with AP rate are $114.... they also have changed it so that you can add dining and NOT have to buy tickets...... so I think I will buy my tickets from undercovertourist and save some money.....

How much was a regular room with the AP rate?

I wonder if I would be better off getting an AP. . . .

So excited for this meal! Thanks, now I have to think about that all day!:rotfl:

Ok kiddios, off to work now. After work I have to go buy pumpkins to carve tomorrow night...yeah I'm a little late, but I haven't had any time to do it! It's also been about 10 years since I've carved a pumpkin, so it should be entertaining.

Have a great day everyone, stay warm!:goodvibes

Thanks to all who offered advice and help on my question about packages! I went to bed and forgot to respond to you! Sorry.

Today is another beautifully cold morning in MN! Highs are expected to be at least 55 the next three days, so those of you east of here, hang on!! The snow will melt soon!! I'm sorry for your suffering!

Meghan - stay home and feel better!! I get sinus problems/infections often - Sudafed (the real stuff) and advil work great for me! Good luck.

I have to quick tell you all - I finally had a Disney dream two nights ago!! :) Yes, can you believe I forgot to mention it yesterday? Well, we (my family) went to MK and it looked a little different. We went to a pin store (nothing like I had ever seen) and kept running into people we knew from home!! It was so weird. But then I remembered I had to go try a Dole Whip, so I said to DH, I'm pretty sure it's over by Jungle Cruise. Let's go that way. And we did. Short dream, but it was all good. Sadly, I don't remember anything about tasting the DW. Hmm, guess I'll have to do it for real in oh, 91 days or so!!

Gotta get working, everyone have a great day!!!

This going only mean good things for the rest of us right!! WOW!! I'm really really hoping for a good code for Florida Residents...Come on Disney!!

I also made some inquiries into renting points so I'm holding on to see about all of that, because that might be the way I go we'll wait and see!!
