I don't know how familiar any of you are with a children's artist by the name of Fred Penner, but there is song of his that I would like to teach to you!

The Cat came back the very next day, the cat came back, they thought he was a gonner, but the cat came back, he just couldn't stay away!

Yes Ladies! Our cat has returned! My Dh came home a little bit ago and called me on the cell from our driveway saying ...bring me a flashlight and a tin of food! I just saw the cat run under the deck! We have no idea where she was or how she found her way home but she is home now! She is cold and hungry but seems to be fine!

Thanks so much for all of your prayers! You are so wonderful! :goodvibes

WOW!!! I love that song-had it on 1 of my kid records--sang it all the time-drove my family nuts with I'm sure!! How weird is that? Does she still look sick? I bet your little girls are over the moon!!! We are sooo happy for them!

Not so chatty today, huh? That's ok with me because I wasn't around much. Our second shot at DD's pictures came out much better. Very cute. Now that we're home, I'm starting to not feel so good. My throat is starting to hurt and I have a headache. :sad1: I think it's because the weather has been changing so much lately. I've always had really bad sinus problems. I look forward to just staying home tonight and relaxing. Tomorrow is tryouts for my dance team, so it's going to be a long and exhausting day. I need all the rest I can get right now!

Me too---I bet I have sneezed 12 times today already--starting to get a headache on my forehead--not lookin' too good! I keep feeling like I am getting it, then it stops for a day or two, then the weird feelings come back.Very odd--I hope it stays away! Hopefully a good nights rest and you'll be good!!!

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

QOTD....
I am EXCITED for 7 nights, and 8 days...I have never been on vacation that long....also very excited to try La Nouba(even though I don't have tickets yet).

I'm really hoping that the Wisconsin snow doesn't delay our trip this year, like it did last year. We were delayed by 4 hours due to a fabulous blizzard! The airplane had to be "de-iced" twice. Not a good way to start the vacation off.:rotfl:

I will be stoked for some SUNSHINE in January and trying to come back with a tan!

:cool1: Kimberly I'm so glad for you and your family!!!! :cool1: I hope kitty is happy and healthy now that he's home!

Meghan, good luck with tryouts tomorrow! I hope they're not too tiresome. Feel better! I'm sure the new pictures came out adorable! Are these her halloween pics?

The pictures are her 6 year old pictures. They turned out very cute and we even took some pics with me too. We did that last year and my DH has the pic on his desk at work.

Tryout are always pretty tiring, but at least I'm just teaching the dance with one other girl tomorrow. Teaching the dance is technically our tryout. I'm sure I'll have no voice by tomorrow night from yelling out counts and such, but that's ok. I'm excited to see all of my friends tomorrow and I'm wondering how many girls will turn out for tryouts as well. Right now, I'm just taking it easy with a big mug of mocha cappaccino!

Well I'm it's time for me to head out for the night! Habachi dinner, yummmm!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday & weekend ahead!
And I hope your weather is better than ours, rain till TUESDAY! Yuck!

I know! That's my biggest fear. We are leaving from Milwaukee at 6:30am or some ridiculous time like that. It can snow all it wants, AFTER our flight leaves! Trust me, I would not be a happy camper if the flight got delayed...:rolleyes1

Hooray!!! So glad to hear it!!

When we went to Disney in 2005, we drove to the airport in a snowstorm and then had a 2 hour delay. but it was SO WARM when we got there, we immediately had to change into shorts. That was a trip - from winter coats/snow storm to so hot we needed shorts. :)

Yeah, weather is one of our biggest concerns too. With DH and DD5 driving and me and DD7 flying, we will be worrying about weather for almost a week!! Ugh. Even if it's cool or rainy in FL, it's always better than in MN. :)

Kimberly - so glad to hear kitty came back. Unfortunately, our fish did not! We had a brief goodbye ceremony and sent him on to heaven. DD7 wanted to go get another one tonight. Uh, NO! We're taking a break from fish. I told her she needed to spend more time with the dog.

Okay, my new Disney Snowbird friends. I need some prayers....

A bit of background....My mom had three heart attacks in March (she's 74). My younger sister and I flew out there at that time to be with her when she went into surgery for stints (my mom is in southern California, my younger sister and I in Indiana). We knew someone should be "with" her while she was in surgyer...See, she's remarried, but her husband is a royal jerk. He was not in the hospital during her surgery. If I can recall, he came in around 3 hours after she was out, and then only stayed with her about 15 minutes. That's a completely different story...

Fast forward to today. At the time mom's stints were put in, the doctors discovered and aortic aneurysm located in her abdomen. Since that time, it's grown. She has been cleared for surgery by her cardiologist, and had an appointment scheduled for next Friday to meet with her PCP and schedule the surgery to remove the aneurysm. I received a call a few hours ago from her - her doctor called her and the surgery has now been scheduled for Tuesday! I'm working through some things to try to figure out a way to be out there with her. It doesn't appear that any of my other siblings (there are 5 of us) will be able to make the trip (we're scattered all over the US). So, I just need prayers directed her way that this surgery is a success and that she recovers quickly. We know the recovery will be long - her doctor has warned her 6 months minimum with a home-health care nurse (he wanted her to go into assisted living). I hate that she's so far away from any family...I've tried to talk her into moving back here, and she's agreed, just is in no hurry to do so.

Thanks, my snowbird friends!!

Dawn

Oh my gosh, Dawn! I will send some prayers your way and her way! I'm so sorry for you and your family to go through this being so far apart. It's really hard when you are not close by. Best wishes for all of you.

Thanks guys for your input about the wedding. I talked to my husband and he told me to do whatever I want to do. I am going to really have to think about it. My gut is telling me not to go. I haven't RSVP'd yet..the invitations are not even out yet.

I do feel bad for my mom though. She will be going to the wedding but my dad can't go bc of work (he is a photographer and has a prom). I know my sister now will not be going because of mothers day.

I am not judging these people for having their wedding on mothers day weekend. Some people don't care as much about it...it was always really big in my family.

Oh my gosh! :scared1: I will definitely be praying for your mom AND you! It must be so hard for to be so far away from her at a time like this! :grouphug: I really hope that she has a speedy recovery! Take care of yourself too! Stay strong and healthy for your Mom!

All Right Snowbirds! We have 10 pages to go before we hit PART III!:cool1: I knew we could pull it off before Hallowen! :thumbsup2 Now here's the challenge - Can we do it by Monday? I know things are usually a bit slower on the weekends but Let's see if we can doo it! :woohoo:

BTW, our kitty seems to be all right! She is tired an d was very hungry when she first came in but other than, she is okay! We plan to schedule an appt with a vet to get her checked out really soon! She is curled up sound asleep on my bed right now! :cat:
