Well I will make it down in time to see PhilharMagic before it closes...it's one of our favorites. I'll have to see it double on the Jan 17. I really hope Space Mountain closes after I'm there (if it is closing) it's my favorite ride at Disney. I like it even more than ToT and RnRC.

This is what I make of the rumors about Space Mountain being closed for a complete refurb: I love it the way it is now. I know I would love the updated version. It isn't worth it to be closed a year to make the change, however good it may be. JMHO.

Quick question - Is anyone planning on decorating their windows and door while they are there? If so what do you use? I want to make some window clings and small signs, but I'm not sure where to begin. I found the dis. board for designers but it's a little overwhelming.

Ok. I'm a little mad right now. I just checked the Disney website to see if anything besides the Hall of Presidents is going to be closed while I'm there. Well, it looks like we won't be seeing Mickey's PhilharMagic! It will be closed Jan 18-31st! 2 yrs ago, my DD wouldn't even put on the glasses, so she has never experienced this show. I loved it!

Also, just to let everyone else know, Dumbo will be closed Jan 7th and Splash Mtn will be closed Jan 4-17th.

Only January 7th? Phew! My kids would freak if they don't get to ride Dumbo. Well, everyone but Thomas. He thinks he's too cool.

NO! Splash Mountain?????? UGH! I was there when they were building Splash Mountain and was so excited to finally ride it! WAAAHH!!! Though we have been discussing the whole "getting wet" idea as a family. My mom pretty much decided she wouldn't ride and would stay with Georgia Kate on the sidelines. Now the decision has been made for us!

We'll be there before Philharmagic closes! I'm glad for that. Does this mean they likely won't schedule any other major refurbs for January? Seems like quite a lot of major attractions are going to be closed!

Our Southwest flight home just went DOWN!!! I have been faithfully checking every day, waiting, waiting. I went on this evening and found it went down $50 per person, a credit of $200!!! Now we have a credit for the trip down AND for the trip home!

Do all you Southwest people get refunded the difference in price, or does SW keep it as a credit on your account for another trip?

I guess it is a credit. Has to be used within a year of the original purchase from what I understand. . . I know we won't be flying again by Aug. 2009. I am going to try for a refund. I have heard of people fighting with them and getting an actual refund. I am going to wait awhile though, I may still get a Ding and get an even lower price!

I did see the post about the closures and I am relieved to see that Splash will be up and running while we are there but VERY disappointed that Mickey's Philharmagic will be closed! That was the one new attraction at MK that I was really looking forward to! Darn!

Oh no! Philharmagic is my favorite thing in MK. That is such a bummer. I knew we were chancing some of the major rides being down in January, but I never thought about Philharmagic. I am so mad!!!

I think around 2 months out. Some about a month and a half. I have been trying to keep track. In Sept. I was getting Dings for Oct & Nov.
