Well my mom and I will be joining the weight loss train. We have been very good - we are out of the house most mornings (at least 5) at 6:15 for a 45 minute walk around our neighborhood. We've been going strong for the last 3 weeks. This is good for me because I like to sleep and 6:15 is VERY early. we'll we walk I share all the information that I've learned for the discussion boards - I never would have thought of half the stuff myself. Like the fridge swaps, strollers swaps, and "stealing" Mickey paint chips.

Also I'm a big pop drinker - Coke and Mountain Dew - I've cut back to one or none a day. Yah for me.

I'll try to share some of our recipes on the new thread as well. Good luck to everyone.

Peaches... I have a Maggie also... her real name is Mary Margaret but we call her Maggie....

Our Maggie is Margaret Theresa...but only when she's being naughty!

How cool Peaches! We also attend a church that is a part of the CMA! We have sent many people from our congregation on short term missions to Papua, Indonesia! I think you and your family are so amazing to do what you do! blessingss!

It truly is a small C&MA world when you get talking to people!

Last but not least, THE MUPPETS LIVE! I hope we see more Muppets soon now that Disney owns them!

I LOVED Muppets Live! I was part of the act when I went! Animal picked a girl from the audience to be his obsession for the show, and he picked me. He came over to me, spotlighted me, and kept saying "Pretty woman!" over and over again! I loved it!

That was seriously one of my favorite shows at Disney at that time. We wanted to see it again, but our time was so limited that it didn't happen. I've got a great shot of Animal pointing at me.

And I'm loving the pictures! How fun! All my pictures of Disney are in the US. How did we survive before the days of digital! But you all have me wishing I could see them! I've got lots of pictures to dig through when I get back to the US!

Hope you all have a great day! I'm off to visit friends of ours in a small village in the West Bank. It's the second day of their feast, and it's the day to visit family and friends. Our kids love to get out of the city and visit in the "country" where they can run freely and just hang out. No agenda. Scot was baking all day yesterday to get some treats to take along. Traditionally you give gifts and sweets to friends and family during this time. I enjoy holidays...even when they aren't holidays I celebrate!

Well today my mom flies in!! I have to rush like a mad woman after school to the airport to get her and then we are going to have a nice dinner and then head to church to work with my teens at youth group! So I'll be on during my breaks in the day, but you won't see me again til late when we get home and settled!! SO have a great day my lovely Snowbirds!!!

Good Morning everyone! And Walt Disney World! Yea! I can't believe it's October today. My, how time flies! I'm excited because it means we're all getting closer to our trips, but October is very jam packed with stuff for me. Well, gotta get my DD ready for school. Be back soon.

Well, we (meaning the surgeon and I) don't know the scope of the surgery yet. It seems silly to me that I can say "surgery!" but I don't know what kind and neither does she! Anyway, I have Yet More Tests in a couple of weeks that will determine EXACTLY what needs to be done. Ideally, it'll be a 1-3 days off my feet type recovery (with another 2 weeks before I'm "healed" but I don't have to be out of work then) but worst case, it'll be 1-2 weeks out of work.

Thanks for the pixiedust. I'm going to need it over the next six weeks!!

And to Walt Disney World!

I am sooo enjoying everyone's old pictures! Maybe I can convince my dad to dig out all those old trays of slides and have them converted to digital. (LOL, I'm sure many of you don't know what I'm talking about...back in the olden days you could have pictures made as little translucent slides which you viewed using a projector and a screen...man, I'm old...) I do have some more recent photos I could scan, and figure out the photobucket thing. But then I watched Law & Order: SVU last night, and I'm kinda wigged out about posting pictures of my kids on the internet. I don't know why I even watch that show.

Your pics are amazing! Are you a professional photographer? They may be the best ones I've seen, especially Tink. That's about an impossible shot, isn't it?

I'd love to see more and wonder if it's okay for me to use one or two for my desktop background. If not, that's totally fine, but they're beautiful!

Hello fellow Snowbirds,

I feel so left out. All my fault, bad me, I let life get in the way, and did not go on the dis for quite some time. I was catching up on the last 25 pages or so of the old thread only to find out there is a new thread. I will have to set aside time to catch up to the new 60+ pages on this thread.

It is amazing on how fast time is going thanks to this thread and how many disers are going in January. It shall be an interesting time. Thank you to everyone and all your interesting posts.

I just got back from the school book fair again. Been there since 8:00 this morning.

Boy is it cold here!!!!!! Our high is supposed to be something like 55 degrees today and it is really damp and chilly. I'm not ready for this! I guess I am going to have to turn on the heat in the house.

We have another reason to party. Last night our Daughter was invited (with other children from her dance studio) to perform at WDW in August. That's another trip to WDW! Not to mention making a little girl's dream come true.
