January 2009. . . Calling all Snowbirds ~ Part II !!!

Hello again fellow snowbirds! I have made my ADRs. We are on the DxDP and EPCOT is our favorite park, so we are going to eat our way around the World Showcase. This is going to be a relaxing vacation so we are doing 2 TS a day.
Jan 26 Teppan Edo / Hoop Dee Doo
Jan 27 Le Cellier / Restaraunt Marrakesh
Jan 28 Chefs de France / Rose and Crown
Jan 29 Boma for Bfast and then travel over to the Wonder for a 3 day cruise!

We're DxDP too. We did it last trip (Feb of this year) and loved it. It was my husband's only requirement for this coming trip! Our kids aren't old enough yet to manage a full park day, so it worked well to have the breaks, plus I have to admit, I do love good food...

I'm so eager to hear about your cruise- I'd love to do that sometime.

Also, am I crazy that I want to take a day off of work and drive to Milwaukee where the Disney Celebration is coming to town Oct 1...and hang out in a Farmers Market and see what the buzz is? Has everyone been going to the website and entering the daily sweepstakes?

Busy day around here again! I just can't keep up.

Excuse DH's goofy smile. He hates have his picture taken and doesn't smile.

I also wanted to boo hoo because my brother and his family are leaving for Disney on Saturday. Lucky them!!

I had to unsubscribes to most of my threads because the stupid thing was buzzing at all hours of the day and night. it can't keep up with all of the posts that are taking place here. It will alert the first couple and then they just don't come through!

I live in Fond du Lac County, about 45 minutes from Milwaukee. On the Disney Parks Celebration website, where they talk about the "Celebration" for 2009, there is a tab marked for their "tour around the US" talking about this new tour. The tour comes to Milwaukee on Wednesday, Oct 1 to the Farmer's Market in downtown Milwaukee. Now, I've never been to that but I'm willing to give it a try if they are giving away anything!

I don't know if I can put the website on here or the link, but PM me and I can give you the details. I would love to meet a couple of DIS'ers and do lunch....that would be cool.

My name is Jessica, I'm from NYC and I will be heading down to the world 2 days after my college graduation to CELEBRATE !!!!
My travel dates are Jan 25th-30th.
AND.....this is my first SOLO trip! (didn't start out that way, but once I started planning a trip there was no looking back even when everyone else jumped ship!)
I just spent about 5 hours reading the last thread and the insane number of pages that are already on part II! You guys look like your having so much fun I just had to join in!
I just finished my ADR's and basic touring plans so now its time to sit back and..............WAIT........

Yay for the NYC snowbirds!!! I am also on jetblue out of JFK, I'm on the first flight out and the last flight back, to max my Disney-time!
Although that first day can be a killer. Last summer we took the 6am and stayed for Epcot EMH till 2am! It was my cousins first time and they just wouldn't leave....talk about looooong day. I was up and on the run for almost 25 hours!
