Peach3s-wondeful pictures. You might have to post them come Dec. when we are all cold. The weather is nice today, but sat. is showed 58 degrees!

Answer to Disney QOTD:
If you could have any job at Disney--what would it be?
I would like to work anywhere in the parks. Just saying have a magical day for a living would be great. But my dream job is to be the mickey mouse on top of the train station who waves good bye at the end of night at MK.

QOTD: I think I'd like to be Belle. I love her character and I think I would enjoy the storytime interaction. I also might like to work at the Main Street Bakery. From what I hear, they've got some pretty amazing stuff!

Or be in one of the stage productions. That would be fun!:thumbsup2

If anyone is interested in sharing a photo pass please pm me. I am looking for four other people going in Jan. to share.I am willing to be the leader of the group if no one else is. It really is a great way to have all the photos at WDW taken at a more reasonable price. I have heard others have private photo sessions taken also. We were in on a share last Aug. it is very easy. If you have questions about how it works feel free to pm me.
My dates are Dec.31st to Jan. 7th

As requested here are a few pics from my anniversary trip.

sorry those pics are so big...scary:lmao:

I'd love to work anywhere in disney. That is my dream. I want to retire to disney and either be a nurse at the first aid station in the magic kingdom. I'd also love to just greet people as they come in.

Great pictures, Andrea!:thumbsup2 That water slide looks like so much fun!

Okay...it's only 9:09pm, but since I had 3 1/2 hours of sleep last night and Scot's out at a late meeting again tonight, I think I'll try to read a chapter or two and then hit the hay! Night'all!:goodvibes

You are so pretty and your husband looks like a blast to be around!

Is that the DVC pool for the Boardwalk? I've never seen pictures of it before and that slide looks fun. It seems so close to the Swan (or is it the Dolphin?)

Andrea-

I plan on retiring at Disney World, too. Seriously! There are so many people that do it for the benefits. It's a wonderful place to keep you young at heart!

This reminds me-

There were lots of retiree's that took care of us "young kids" while we were there, since alot of us were far away from our parents for the first time. There was one lady named Lois, who was just about the grumpiest old lady you could ever meet. We eventually found out that she had recently lost a son (who was young and her only child.) After that, we all started to love on her and pay extra attention to her. She and I got very close and she really was like my "mom away from home". So naturally, when I went back 3 years later one of the first things I did was run straight to the Theater of the Stars (B&B Show) to give her a big hug. One of my castmember friends told me that she got sick shortly after I moved home and died. I was devastated!
:sad1:

Sorry to put a damper on the day.... I just thought of her and wanted to share.

How sad........ it was great though that you had someone there you could turn to should you need it.

any tips you want to share about the resort I would be glad to pass along to her..... she has stayed at SSR and AKL.... this will be her first stay at BWV... her and her DH are using points to go to Aruba the first week of Nov..... lucky her.....

I love seeing all the pics! Thanks for sharing! Don't know which is more gorgeous: the Mediterranean sea pics or Peanut1's pic of her and hubby in the cool shades!:rotfl:

I called today to check for pin codes and nothing yet. I keep telling myself to be patient but it's so hard. :headache:

QOTD: I think I would like a job behind the scenes, running a ride or something rather than anything on stage. Really, I'd take any job at Disney as long as I get to hang out at the parks all day! :cloud9:

NDG--how cool about Paddle-to-the-Sea!!!! Maybe I should take a trip up there as well!! Ha! Anything for education, right?:teacher:

We just saw on the news last night that the town has received a bunch of money from the government for the project so it is supposed to be up and running by the town's 00th anniversary next year! Very Cool! :thumbsup2

Okay Disney QOTD: If you could have any job at Disney--what would it be?

Well, since I am Canadian, realistically (I know I didn't spell that right) I could only work at the Canadian pavillion at Epcot! :sad2: However, the question was if I could have ANY kob...hhmmm, let's see! I would actually probably choose to be a childcare provider at one the resorts! It's what I do, it's what I am good at and it is what I love doing - playing with kids! :)

YUMMY! I can't wait for Thanksgiving! Does Grandpa's pie have apples in it?

Nope, no apples! It is super easy! All it is is one can of sweetened condensed milk, caramelized over night in a crock pot, poured into a graham shell and then covered in cool whip with a crushed SKOR bar on top! :thumbsup2 Oh it is soooo yummy! I want some right now, but alas we are home now and the rest of the pie is back in the fridge in Nipigon! :sad2:

 Awww..Soleil I'm sorry for you loss:hug: With not having any natural grandparents left I find that I have found many adoptive grandparents that are just the most wonderful people on this planet!!! I love how much they still have to share with you and just their ethusiasm and knowledge about life!!!

Of course, see... I have to give a presentation to all the graduate students in my department at the end of the month and, really, I'd rather hide on my desk than stand in front of any groups of people and talk. ACK. But I knew I'd have to do this when I got hired here sooo.... :confused3

I'm such a chicken. :D

Just picture everyone in the audience in their undies! That usually works for me! DD9 said that you should picture them all as puppies. Whatever works, I guess. ;)

Hello everyone! I just caught up with you guys. I've been working on my pictures from this past weekend for awhile, so I'm now ready to post them! I've still been a bit emotional today. My DH thinks I'm nuts or something. I think I was just so busy last week with wedding details it's hard to get back to day to day life. I also miss being around a big group of people. My little sis went back to college today and my big sis left for her honeymoon. :sad1: I miss them already! So, here's some pics!

Good afternoon Snowbirds.

Well today wasn't such a good day here. The kids had a doctor appointment. DS7 had to get 2 shots (which we knew about ahead of time) which he took very well. But then he got sent for some blood work for a minor problem he's been having. That did not go over so well. He screamed like I've never heard either of the kids scream before. :sad2: It was terrible. I am drained. He is doing fine now, but what an ordeal that was.

On a brighter note ~ Peach3es, Peanut, and Dancegrl ~ your pictures are beautiful! :goodvibes
