How do you have reservations in '09 already, the disneyworld.com website says it only can take bookings until Dec 31, 08? Please share! :)

You can make room only reservations, but have to wait for the package deal.

They will book your 2009 room ressie based on 2008 Peak Season rates. You only have to pay for one night to reserve. Then you can change it into a package when the 2009 rates come out.

Dklam have you considered renting from offsite an ECV for your trip? They will deliver it to your resort, you keep it w/ you for the length of your stay & return it to the front desk. I know there are some links about that her on the DIS. That way you can take it with you to DTD other resorts or other parks. (PLEASE DONT FLAME me for talking about other places than Disney). If we end up adding my mother to our trip we will do that for sure. She has had both knees replaced & is in her 70's.

Yesterdays ???? not trying to lose weight just trying to get my weight back into the spots it should be!! Need to tone up butt & thighs!!

On the good side DH is finally getting excited about our trip!! Stopped by his office & saw he had pics from last years trip as his desktop.YEAH now if I can just get him DISing too.:rolleyes1

Yesterday's Answer of the Day:

Not really trying to lose any weight. I do like to try to do sit ups and walk a lot before going to Disney. Not sure how the walking is going to work out with going in the middle of the winter. . . :confused3

Just checking in while on vacation....any reason we should expect 09 rates to come out tomorrow...??? Or will it be later in Aug?:)

Thanks for the welcome ^^;;

I read on a board that the prices for tickets were going up on Aug 3rd. So this leads me to this question, is it wiser to prepurchase these tickets? or should i just wait for the packages to come out? (i also need to wait for the exact dates i'm going too) I'm really hoping to save money where i can :)

Heard some great news today while talking to a CM !! I was able to get my room only ressie 09 rates for Jan 24-29! Awesome! and they said ticket packages for 09 go out on August 7! Also our CM named Jones was so nice he told me they are offering some new dining options in 09! I explained how we usually dont do dining packages since we dont sit down to eat too often with our ds3 and dd9 months:) He said to remember to tell the CM that when I call back to get my tickets and that there might be something offered for families like ours:) Makes me excited to find out what it might be....looks like 2009 might have some great deals!

I suppose I should say something about myself :rotfl:

Anyhow, my family is going to Disney 1/23 - 1/27. We're FL residents, so we'll be driving in and staying at Pop for the duration. We're not getting hopper passes.

1/23 - arrive, DHS. Lunch at Hollywood and Vine.

1/24 - Epcot. Breakfast with the princesses (ashkerus).

1/25 - Animal Kingdom. Breakfast @Tusker house.

1/26 - Magic Kingdom. Dinner at Crystal Palace (haven't made that reservation yet because of the online deal).

1/27 - Magic Kingdom. Breakfast with Cinderella.

It's my husband and I, and my two kids DS (2 almost 3) and DD (4). This is our "almost three trip" that we did with DD, and I wanted to do with DS. The first trip, labor day weekend, was a failure. Too hot, DS had something fairly minor (running a small fever), not enough time in the parks to enjoy it, and a very cranky husband (he was the worst part). I planned it in January to relieve the "too hot" aspect! Oh, and i told DH that he wasn't allowed to complain...

Packing for Disney?

I've already starting putting special Disney things away in a quiet corner of my bedroom - like all the Disney shirts I've bought on ebay, for example!

This trip, we'll have a big packing dilemma though. We're going to New York first, which will be snowy and freezing, then down to Miami, Florida Keys, and Orlando, which hopefully won't be snowy! It might still be a bit cold, but hopefully not ear-muffs cold! So we'll be packing a bit of everything! :confused3

Hi AussieAngel! I was just reading this and wanted to let you know that I live in New York and work in Times Square! If you are coming to the city and need any advice just let me know! And, YES it will be VERY cold here in January!

Other posts in other forums said they are offering starting January 11th and on a new option to the DDP

2 CS meals, 2 snacks and the refillable mug for something like $26.00/day for adults.

I like my TS meals, so I wouldn't go for this, but for all the CS people, this may be great!

You have been added to the list! So now you are an official Snowbird! :cool1: (Even if you aren't coming from the snow! :rotfl: )

Sounds like a great trip you have planned! :goodvibes We too had "heat issues" this May, so that's how next year's trip got moved to January! Now I better not hear anyone in my family complain that they are too cold!

We look forward to chatting and planning with you!

That sounds like a nice option. I will definitely look into that once DS turns 10 because there's no way I'd pay around $40 a day for a 10 year old picky eater!

Good Evening, Snowbirds!

I worked all day today and haven't even had the chance to obsess about my upcoming trip! I really shouldn't let my job get in the way of my daydreaming!

Hello fellow January friends!

This is totally OT, (I've already posted on the Community board) but I was hoping that none of you would mind too much if I posted this here.

For part of my current Master's class, I'm conducting a survey on tutoring centers. (Sylvan, Kumon, etc...)

If your child attended a tutoring center, would you please take the time to take my 12 question multiple choice survey? It's anonymous.

OR

If you know someone who's child attended a tutoring center, would you please give them the link? The more results I have the better!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
