January 2009. . . Calling all Snowbirds ~ Part I !!!

Bella... Wishing you lots of luck for your DH's surgery. Do you know when he'll have it done? Hopefully long before your Disney trip! I really hope things go well for you and your family.

Guess what else? This time 2 years ago, DH and I arrived at Disney World! I always remember 5th September because it was our Disney day. Waaaah, I wish I was there now! Oh well, only 4 months to go!

I need some support!

I've never shared with you all, that when I was 8 months pregnant DH got very sick and I almost lost him. His appendix ruptured, but he was misdiagnosed for 11 days before it was removed. He abdomen was eaten up by "poison" (for lack of a better term) and he suffers with hernias now because of all the trauma. His stomach muscles are weak and a hernia has reappeared. I'm so frustrated with all of this that I just want to cry! We are just starting out in our marriage and it's so hard going through all of this medical drama and wondering what the rest of our life will be like because of it.

Anyhow, DH just went to an appointment and he's going to need surgery again.

Sorry to hear he (and you) have been through so much already so early in your marriage. Remember, when you are weak, God is strong.

Love reading up on counter service ideas. I haven't made any decisions about that yet. I better!

Been busy with meetings and seminars these last few days. I was in Bethlehem 2 days in a row for meetings. Today my meeting was in Jerusalem. Tomorrow I have a ladies meeting with ladies from our church. Meeting after meeting. It's good. I'm social!

Maybe today I'll try to read up on some counter service options!

Hi everyone! I'm in mourning this week! Why? Because I should be at WDW right now!! We were scheduled to fly down Sunday morning and stay at CSR from Aug. 31-Sept. 7 with my parents, my husband, and our 4 children. Well late Saturday afternoon my dad was admitted into the hospital (they think he may be diabetic). He is home now and I just rebooked for Jan. 1-8 at CBR!! I opted for a CBR standard room (will save $200 per room) since CSR only has water views available. I'm looking forward to a chatting with all of you about our trips!!

Hello, Snowbirds!

We are planning our first January trip (Jan 6-12). We usually go in September and have enjoyed that. Our oldest daughter is now in college and wouldn't ALLOW us to go without her in September. So we will go in January over her break.

I am looking forward to the cooler weather and the low crowds. We also will be happy to leave PA in the winter, too!

We are busy planning our schedule and meals. We have ADR's at Cantina de San Angel, Kona, Chefs de France, Captain's Grille, the Wave, and Grand Floridian Cafe. That is a combination of some of our favorites and some new ones.

Four months to go!

Does anyone live near Jon and Kate Gosselin from Jon & Kate Plus 8?

It is one of my favorite shows. Kate is one of my heroes.

I love love love that show.....honestly though I don't like Kate. I find her to be very rude and disrespectful to her husband. She never apologizes for treating him badly and instead justifies it and makes it his fault. I think he is a woos (sp) for letting her treat him this way. Also I think they have a lot more help than we see...still I like the show because it makes me feel like my life is soooo easy.

as for snacks, I want to try that goofy candy shop in DTD. I don't really care for dole whips...hubby loves them though. We get 2 snacks a day on deluxe...that's a lot of snackin,

Well, I have no idea what your even talking about, so I'm guessing I do not live close to her in PA! Oh, wait...this is that show about this couple that has 8 kids, right? Someone on my scrapbooking board knows them personally. I didn't know they were from PA.

It's about an hour and 20 minutes north of Harrisburg smack in the middle of nowhere. Ever hear of Knoebels Amusement Park? We live about 15 minutes from there, and grew up going and working there. Other than that, there isn't much around!

I agree that she can be mean to her poor, DH. But I do like her because it makes me feel so much better chasing around one baby. Plus, the kids (little ones) are so funny and cute.

I have heard of Knoebels! Never been there, but have heard of it. We usually travel to Hershey at least once a year, so we go right through Harrisburg.
