Why does time go sooooooooooooo slow when you know Disney is coming????
Preseason: This is a trip that almost never was. Ever since my last trip to Disney, Jan 07, I already had in my head the plans for my next trip. But I was going with my wife this time. When I told I was going to take her to Disney in the next Year she didn't believe me. And rightfully so. I was a senior in High school. I had college coming up, I had no money to start saving for college so at the time, she just said "sure hun, whatever you say." Well after about 6 months when we moved in together we talked about doing it again, I had pushed off college for a year cause I just wanted to relax, Playing football/weight lifting team and trying to keep my grades up in high school was stressing (going for Disney for 2 weeks almost every year didn't help either) so i needed some time off. So we talked about going in April 08. After a few months i threw some numbers together and we figured it was too much too soon (Both making 9 an hour). Well a few months went by, I got a much better job she did too. Talked started again, it almost meet the same fate as all the other trips but then a miracle happen. Well not really a miracle, but it seems like it was one, TAX RETURN

We threw some numbers around all before you know it DISNEY 09 IS COMING. Throwing are tax return into a CD so we don't touch it till are trip, and saving alot every month will give us a comfortable trip, also splitting a timeshare isnt half bad either. UPDATE MARCH 08: Was going in October but due to a layoff at work for two weeks before my new job, going in jan 09.
The Players: Me(Nate) 18- Future Network admin. I am the Veteran returning for another season of Disney fun. But the first were he will be making the calls and where their is a salary cap(budget).(when did i switch to thrid person) Will he be able to stand the pressure of calling the plays and making all the plans? What strategy will he take? Does he have any strategy at all? Can he even spell strategy?
Her(Becky) 18- Future..Future,umm...Well when she knows we will let you know. The rookie that has alot to learn. She has to be able to support the play calling but has to do it with no exp.(aka she is trying to help plan the trip but has no clue what is what) She is great at making lists and organizing but those were the minor leagues(Six flags). This is the major leagues were factoring in gas and food and tickets isnt enough.(who knew you could spend that much on souvenirs) Can she be quick on her feet and think before getting sacked by too much info? Can she quickly learn nates playbook or will the huge process of planning and the overwhelming trip already being talked about take her down faster then my clevland indians/browns/cavaliers chocked this year? (still crying over that)
The season: This season is starting on a Saturday 01/17- Sunday 10/25. A long season for the rookie considering that alot of us, if we went as kids, went only a few days. MY first time was only 3 days (pre AK). How long will she last into the season before she needs a break?(hard to believe that someone at Disney needs a break, but these rookies don't know how to pace them self. Learned to pace my self from a promo for disney on a trailer reel from the lion king on vhs. God those were the days.) Will he be able to keep his team together and keep them going?
The trek: Flying out on Saturday morning from Albany international early mourning. haven't flown in awhile so this should be interesting, anyone with advice for flying let me know, aka what do I do when i get to the airport. Using Disney magical express service when we get to MCO. Anyone have experience with that would be helpful. I have read some places that people have waited hours until they got to their hotel.
The locker room: We will be staying at Port Orleans riverside. Never stayed here but it looks very nice and peaceful. A family friend stayed their and said it was great. First time staying the whole trip on property. Since we are not renting a car (either places wont rent to anyone under 21 or the surcharge for being 19 is ridiculous) having the buses is nice. Also I like being able to charge stuff to my room, I hate using my credit card or debit card so this is a nice convince.
Nutrition: A team is only as good as its resturant choices. And that is no exception here. The list includes:
Liberty tree
Le cellier steak house
Sci fi dinner
Planet hollywood
Garden grill
GAME TIME: Now its time to show who is who. Where true Disney Champions show their stuff. Where the we separate the mouses from the mice. Where we show them who's house it its. (I could go on for days)
Saturday: Arrive at the locker room
Swing by Beaches and Cream for a real match. Us against the KITCHEN SINK. I can already hear women screaming and pigs squealing, Men running for cover and babies crying. "IT cant be done, no way you cant do it." That is what people told my old team, and we did it after 3 tries. But that was six people. Can it be done with only 2? Yes that is right, only 2. But if we fall, we are taking it down with us. (asking if we can buy the kitchen sink) Then a post game stroll in DTD. Grab some stuff in preperation for the days to come.
However though the rest of my plans are still in the works, maybe because the trip is a long way away and we dont know what will be in refurbishments, and,God be willing, any ride closings. Keep tuned for more exciting adventures also dont be scared to leave a comment.
