if you want to call and add a AAA discount, do you have to cancel all of your existing ressies?

I ended up booking through AAA to get a discount on the MYW with DDP package.

I had to cancel my reservation with Disney once I got home.

By booking with AAA, I saved $100.00, but I also got an upgraded room catagory. My reservation with Diseny I had booked a std view room at the WL. My AAA TA was able to get me the woods view, plus the savings!

to the DIS! We'll be at the YC from Jan. 2-6, don't sweat the planning, you have time but go ahead and book your dining, also, use 800-828-0228 to call, dining is option 3.

Anyone going in Jan from the Baltimore/Wahington area:

Southwest has fares that are $49 each way (about $119/per ticket) right now out of BWI. I got 3 tickets for Jan 24-28th for $356 this morning. I can't imagine a ding would get it much lower than that

I'm glad to see someone is getting good rates on SW for late Jan. Our's from Kansas City our running $188 EACH WAY and that is twice what they normally are for SW. HORRIBLE!!!

Count me in on this thread too! I just booked Jan.23-29th at POFQ. I got the ADRs I wanted, even though I just called today. I opted not to do AAA as the cost of joining would seriously reduce our discount, but I'd LOVE to see a code!

Mousesavers shows that there was an AP room only discount offered in 2007 for check-ins between 1/1/2007 and 2/14/2007. Did anyone around here get that discount ? I'd love to take the family January 2008 around MLK holiday, but I need an AP discount. If anyone got the previous one, I'd love to know what the discounts were. I know it's no guarantee, but at least it'd give me some idea. Thanks!

WE got $118 per person direct roundtrip from Newark, NJ to MCo. Was so excited. No if I can only get a discount for the room, dining, or something. we go 1/26-2/1

We are leaving from Virginia on Jan 9th and coming back on the 19th and we got our airfare for $118 round trip from Washington Dulles on JetBlue.

Here's hoping they have a great code for January..............

No we are not members of AAA. I know some of the few on here that aren't. And to boot we are not AP. Just the average family who loves(Alright I love) Disney. It's good to know they have had general public codes in the past. It's like a job checking here and mousesavers.com for codes. Still keeping my fingers crossed. I did, and it was over the MLK holiday, I believe I got it for $59 a night at Pop hopefully I can get the same great deal this year !!

We got the same rate Jan 30-Feb 5 on Continental and got POFQ for $119 night with AAA and I'm still looking for a better deal...

We Stayed at the Polynesian last MK weekend and got just under 40% AP rate!
We are going again this MK weekend and are hoping for the same rarte! AK here we come!!

I just booked POP for 10 nights in January and am sooooooooooooo excited I want to jump up and down like a little kid! Hoping for a code so we can upgrade to a mod, but for now just happy to be going! YAY!

My understanding is at various times there has been both. I think that if there is a "room only" discount and you have a package booked then the discount would only be to cover the cost of your room. I'm not sure what the process is to getting the discount. If it means "rebooking", if you're able to stay at the same resort, etc. Maybe a more experienced Dtraveler (who is lucky enough to have gone through this process) might share some insight.
