We are planning on visiting WDW, Florida in 2008 with parents and in-laws. But we have decided to break them in gently by going to EuroDisney in Jan 07. We are flying easyjet and staying at Sequioa Lodge taking full advantage of the 4 for 3 offer. Stayed here before and really like the resort. The parks are not as good as WDW, Florida, but are very good (and obviously cheaper).

In the past we have got the Disney transport from CDG - resort. But this year we only land at 9.50pm. So does this transport run this late or do we need another method of transport. There are 6 travelling 5 adults, one child. I was also thinking froma cost point of view, would it be cheaper to arrange a mini bus (or something 6 seater) to pick us up and be cheaper than Disney travel.

The wife also wants to go to Paris for a day. We have not done this before, so any advice on this would be appreciated. How far is Paris?

How everyone is well and hopefully will have lots of discussion as I have had in the past prior to Disney travels.

Cheers

Yes, you will have to get a taxi or prebook a private shuttle, as the VEA won't be running when you arrive, and the price will be practically the same. Have a look in this thread (which can be found in the Useful Info sticky) for links to the private shuttle companies. :)

Hi
When are you going? We are also staying at the Sequoia in January(14th to 19th)
I'd suggest pre booking a private shuttle, from what I have read, people have have good experiences of using them.
Paris is only 19 miles away and you could easily get a train.

I'm sure your parents and in-laws will have a great time :)

It's really easy to go into Paris. Just take the RER from the station, it takes about 35 minutes. We got off at Auber Station and then did a hop-on hop-off bus tour. This allowed for us to see the major sights as well as get off to spend a few hours at the Eiffel Tower. Coming back just make sure your train is going to Marne la Vallee-Chessy.

We are going Sunday 21st Jan - Returning Thursday night 25th so we will just miss each other.

Thanks for the information on Paris, I am quite keen to do a tour as long as the weather is not to bad.

What weather can you expect at the end of Jan?

What do you guys do in the evening after the parks close?

Do they have fireworks at this time of year?

Cheers

After a very busy Christmas, I really need to start booking meals and planning what where and when we are going to fit everything in.

So, firstly I need to arrange transport from CDG to Seq Lodge.

I know there is a thread link but which particular company have can you recommend and how do I book it?

I am looking for a late afternoon meal in the parks with characters, which is the best?
Also looking for the best breakfast again with characters?
Do the Disney princesses appear any of the meals.

Is the Buffalo Bills show at Disney Village worth while?

How do I book all the above?

I have been to Euro Disney twice before, and the time flies by and I always come back thinking I should be more orgnaised. So if there is anything you think I should be doing because it is the best thing in Disney, just let me know and I will do it.

Thanks, no doubt more questions will follow. This website has helped me arrnage my visits to EuroDisney and Florida WDW now numerous times and all help is appreciated. Keep Living The Dream.... :cool1:

I've booked for mid feb and am just going through the process of the pre-trip planning etc..

Can't help with the travel as I'm driving down from the UK.

I've looked at the character dining - (I went 3 yrs ago and did a Walts breakfast). I'm leaning towards an evening meal one night at Cafe Mickey's in the Village - and a Breakfast at the Plaza Gardens one morning. As far as I know there is nowhere to dine with characters mid afternoon in the park.

I did Buffalo Bill's show when I was last here - It was great - but I'm unsure whether I want to do it again. I did see an advert for free child tickets for Buffalo Bill's during Jan/Feb - but not sure where that was - anyone know if this is a possibility?

You may find that more posters will see your question if you start a new thread rather than add it to an old one :thumbsup2

No princesses are not currently appearing at any character meals.

An alternative mid day option is Lucky Nugget Saloon :)

An error in my earlier post - The Plaza Gardens do an afternoon tea with characters

Quite a few people on this board, including myself, have used RS Transport, and been very pleased with them. You can book them, and probably any of the other companies listed, via their websites. If you can't find a dedicated booking page just send them an email. :)

You can make reservations for most DLP restaurants by ringing 0033 160 30 40 50 from 2 months before the date. As I've only done Buffalo Bills once, a very long time ago, I can't really offer an opinion, though I've heard mainly very good reviews from other people on here. You can book this by ringing 0033 160 45 71 00

We've done Buffallo Bill's twice now and enjoyed it both times. The food's not fantastic but it's edible - Chilli, followed by chicken with vegetables, spare ribs, sausage, the trailside breads are delicious as is the apple cobbler dessert and DH will go anywhere where there's free beer on offer although I stick to the cola.
It's just a really fun night, lose your inhibitions and join in, you'll probably come out with a hoarse voice from all the Yee-hahs but it's a thoroughly enjoyable evening. :)

Edited to say:
I'd highly recommend Cafe Mickey in the village for a character meal, perhaps just before or after the park closes. We had a fabulous time there. The Lucky Nugget Buffet Lunch was also a big hit with the family - very large selection of food and lovely setting, lots of charcter interaction.

Thanks for the replies, I will be working on a itinery over the next couple of days and will let you know what we plan to do.
Thanks again and keep living the dream.
