We are planning a trip for January 13 - 20. Last year we went week after Thanksgiving and it was great. How will this week in January be? When can I start making ADRs? Is it terribly cold? And finally when will they release EMHs for Jan.? I guess that about covers it. It is so exciting to be on the DIS again planning a trip. Last time I found this board too late and had already made some mistakes with restaurants we chose. Thanks for all your help! :thumbsup2

It can be very cool in Jan so make sure you take a jacket ect. The parks are not crowded and the wait time is almost nothing, you will enjoy that. Your ADR's can be made now as you are within the 180 days. And last of all the park hours and extra magic hours are out now, check the WDW site.
We love this time of the year and will be down when you are 15-25.Have a great time.

We'll be there then too.
I have been one other time in Jan. and it ranged from mid 80s to low 60s and evening colder....go prepared for anything.
My ADRs are done.
EMHs are listed already also.

us too, (i hope) january 14-20th (waiting on some good codes, got any?)
my first time in january also,
interested in the replies you got.
i have been told i can bet on at least a day or so in the pool
and a shorts and t-shirt during the daytime.
and maybe a jacket at night.
thats good with me.

We will be there Jan. 1-8 . I hope it is not to crowded , I know some of the schools will still be out . Has anyone gone the first of Jan. that can tell me how the crowd levels are. Crowds or no crowds , Iam just very excited about getting back to Disney.

I went this time last year. There were some lines, but nothing like the week prior! We are going the 12-17th this time, at least that is the plan, may change to Feb.9-14.

We are going back Jan. 1-7th. Last year we went Jan. 2-6th. The crowds were very minimal. For example, we walked on my rides with no wait at all. The weather was fabulous. Jeans or shorts during the day with a tank top etc. Definately take a jacket at night for the shows, parades, etc. You will have a blast. I can't wait!!! Tink

It's also my first time in Jan... I will be there from Dec 31st to Jan 15th :cool1: I'm beside myself with excitement... the first week at OKW and the second week at Seratoga... Yooowhooo! :woohoo:

We are there at the same time, Jan 1-9 at POFQ, we are also hoping for a little less chaos than New Years Week. The 1st-3rd were still busy this past January but lessened each day.

I made a couple of additional ADR's just the other day and got everything I wanted - I was worried since my ADR window opened in early July, but no issues.

EMH's came out around the 1st of July, but something I learned last visit was to double check them the night before at your hotel as they did change.

Happy Planning

i'd like to know what kind of answers you get as well as i'm going to be there during that time too. i'm nervous that it's going to be too cold to do anything when we go (and this is coming from someone who lives in the cold northeast!). what kind of places should i make adr's for, there will only be 2 of us, is it even worth it (we're not going to character things)?
