January 2007 operating hours

We are looking at heading to WDW Jan 27th thru Feb 3rd, but DH is worried about how late the parks might be open during that time.

Have you been in January and if so what were the park hours like during the week and the weekends?

This is no definitive answer, but as I recall from last January MK was open until 8 or 9. AK closed at 5 each day. MGM was open until 8 or 9. And Epcot was the same as always. We are going in January '07 too. Can't wait!

We'll be there on those same exact dates! Except the last four nights will be on the Disney cruise. Can't wait

I'd look back to 2005 for a comparison, since 2006 was already part of the Happiest Celebration. The Magic Kingdom was open until 7PM or 8PM, depending on the day of the week. D-MGM was open until 7PM every night. AK was open until 5PM every day.

While the hours are shorter in January, the parks are so uncrowded that you can get so much more done during the day. We will often tour till the parks close and then go to a resort for dinner. Jan is our favorite time of year to go and we are looking forward to a Jan 2007 trip.

I have been several times during January. Park hours vary. The first week in January, it is generally open til 8 or 9, except for the 1st and 2nd, when it is open much later. The second and third weeks, etc close earlier, sometimes as early as 6 or 7.
