January 2007 Discount Codes (Information on Codes - NOT A CHEERLEADING DEBATE) ;-)

I'm already booked for Jan 27-Feb 1st at WL but hoping for a code :)

I'm new at the codes thing..i have been waiting and watching...but not even sure what a code is? Is it released on disney's website?? I hate just sitting here waiting for someone else to find this code. ha ha

Booked for POLY Jan 25-29 First time on property!

I don't know if I can keep my sanity much longer. :fish: It's that whole holding pattern thing. But the reward will be sweet. :cake: Maybe the upgraded computer system will be a good sign. :surfweb:
Well, hopefully only 2 more weeks at the most. :cool1:

People are waiting for discount codes for the month of January on this thread. Usually I see them on mousesavers.com or on this board. Just keep checking - most people I believe are expecting them to release codes for annual pass (AP) holders or the general public later this month or at the beginning of November. Once they are announced (if they are), you can see if your travel agent (or call Disney if you booked thru them) can apply it to your reservation. Usually the number of rooms/packages are limited - sometimes by certain room types or resorts. You should be able to find lots of info on this at mousesavers.com - hope this helps!

OK i looked at the history of discounts from mouse savers it just says type of discount, not the actual discount. I see the Canadian code are base on Value we have moderate res @ POR. Do they usually gives US residents same as Canadian ?Does anybody have a guess for how much discount we are talking? We have 3 adults, 1 junior, and 1 child all in one room, PH MYW tickets plus dining. I am trying to figure out about how much we can initiate in a code discount.

I don't remember Disney releasing Canada codes and then US codes in the recent past, although it cold have happened. It seems like most of the time, they just release "general public" codes. My guess would be that we can expect something similar to the Canada deal, though. The deal is usually based on the Value resort (6 nights from $1500 or whatever....) but you can get it for mods and deluxe, too. Earlier this year when they offered the "free hopper/water park" package, it was about 10-20% off rack rate plus the free ticket upgrades. We stayed at WL for 6 nights and got 10 day non expiration tickets w/ the dining plan, and we saved quite a bit.

Hi,
I just subscribed and this is my first post....I wanted to answer the question about the Canadian code because hopefully this will become open to everyone. We booked at POFQ for the end of January and I came across the code actually on this site (thanks to all who mentioned it)--we saved $500.00 off the price of our trip so it was well worth it. I'll keep my fingers crossed for all of you guys that you get the deal too :)

I'm new here so maybe I misunderstood the meaning of subscribe...maybe you can give me more information. Maybe my post should have read, "registered" instead.

Hi there  Once you post on a thread you are automatically subscribed to that thread. You will recieve any new posts that are made here. Would you mind sharing the details? Was the savings off the room and tickets? How many nights are you booked?

Thanks!

The deal we got was for free park hopper and water park and more options for our tickets---we are staying at POFQ for 6 nights (2 adults and 2 DDs) and had tickets for 5 days at the park. Our original quote was for roughly $2200 and our revised post-discount price was $1700. Now we are trying to decide between pocketing the $500 for use in the park or upgrading our hotel....anyone have any advice? Is it worth it to upgrade, I mean, do you really spend a lot of time in your hotel? This is our first trip to Disney with kids (DH and I have both been many times as his grandparents used to have a trailer in Kissimee)...the girls are 5 and 8 if that helps.

Thanks!

Tough call. We usually stay deluxe, but last time we split our stay to include POFQ and WL. POFQ was really nice. Unless you had your heart set on a deluxe, I would pocket the money and use the extra to add some great experiences like character meals or a trip to the new bippidity boppidity boutique. We have a very strong attachment to WL because we honeymooned there. The deluxe resorts are great, but if I had never stayed deluxe I am sure I would have been wowed by POFQ. Even having stayed deluxe I was very impressed with it. Whatever you decide I think you will have a great time and glad you were able to get a discount code. I am hoping AP codes come out myself.

SecretDisneyTrippers,
Thanks for posting what your deal is. It made perfect sese to me as we are booked for 7 nights at POFQ in late January and there are 4 of us.

I will tell you that we plan on staying put and pocketing any savings UNLESS.

Unless we can get into AKL for about $200 more than we are paying now for the week.
We have reservations at Jiko for our adult night and our kids are booked into the Simba Club. it would just make for an all around better adult evening (did I mention my husband would be returning from a 4 month TDY and we leave for Disney 2 days later) if we were doing all of this at our own resort. Would make it easier to change after a day in the parks, would allow us to spend more adult time together.

But we don't want to go too far over our budget just for that.

Good luck with your decision.

We spoke with a CM last night who shared that there will be a January special coming out and to check back when computers are back up this week.

Called back later about another question and that CM said that codes will come out at end of month because they usually come out two months in advance.

Sooooo....here is to hoping they are right and codes come out! :wizard:
