January 2007 Discount Codes (Information on Codes - NOT A CHEERLEADING DEBATE) ;-)

I just booked WL Woods for 4 nights for $720! It was actually a little more than I expected the AP rate to be, but still good!

A few more AP rates to pass along!

WL Woods = $180/nt including tax

AKL Savannah view is $205 + tax, or about $230 including tax
AKL Pool View Bunk Bed is $170 plus tax

POP 1/14-1/19
Standard View
AP Rate-Room Only
$331.85 w/tax
That's only 66.37 a night w/tax!

I also booked
POP 1/15-1/19
Standard View
MYW Park Hopper
$1123.85
Would be $934.14 with code ZCJ(VISA).
$1479.73 w/Dining
Would be $1290.02 with code ZCI(VISA).

I booked it at regular price w/o dining and will call to change to general public code w/dining WHEN (not if) it is released. I will not use any cc's to go to Disney anymore! With DH bosses generosity and AMEX prepaid anytime, anywhere lodging cards this trip is FREE!!! :Pinkbounc :yay: :cheer2: :bounce: :cloud9:
AMEX prepaid cards will cover total hotel bill, so tix and dining is covered also.
We have Disney Gift Cards to cover the rest!

We made a request through dreams last night and I am waiting back on a reply. My DH has been bugging me to death this am. LOL I told them they will get back with us soon enough. We want WL concierge Jan 12-15.

I called got the AP code for POP from Jan 1-5. 59 a night saved me $30 off the AAA rate.

Yea! I got WL for $135/night from the 12-15th!!! That's an AP rate on MLK weekend!!! Never stayed there before so I'm quite excited!!! :cool1:

We got $59/nt at POP Jan. 10th-15th. We wanted ASSp but none of the All Stars were available. We debated going with a mod but decided to make this a budget trip so that we can splurge on a longer trip later on in 2007.

I called twice and was told that there were no standard rooms available at any of the values for 1/12. I wonder how you got one? So frustrating! They seemed to have any other night.

Ok does this mean their won't be any available at POR when general public codes aren't released? How different are Ap code and GP codes? I could move up to POLY if code was good enough if no POR available. What time the codes go up and phones open? Ok I think I am done asking all of you questions; this is all confusing!

Sometimes they are different. they open at 7am Disney Time, sometimes CMs see different things on their computers.

do you think an AAA rate will be better/worse than the rate that will be released to the general public tomorrow? and also do you think the rate released to the public will be the same as the disney visa rate? thanks :charac2: ::MickeyMo

I just checked the AP website and agree, no value resorts available for the night of the 12th (the friday before the MLK weekend). There are a few mods, but not POR and only king rooms at CSR. For the folks waiting for a general code, it doesn't look good if they are going over the MLK weekend. Keep in mind that this is a popular time to go for cast members. They are offered a steep discount and most take advantage of it to rest from the holidays. The CMs got to book months ago for this timeframe. Looks like MLK weekend is going to be busy.

I called today and moved my stay of Jan 6-12 from ASMo to POP without any problem...and I have a standard stay, not preferred.

The problem is, if you are checking in on the 12th it is a blackout date but if you arrive sooner, you can include the 12th

That doesn't make much sense to me. You can check in any date except the 12? Oh well, I have friends adn family in the area, so we'll just stay with them. :confused3

It is similiar to all the other promotions. If you happen to stay for the week than fine but they don't want 'weekenders" (those staying for the week checking in that day are out of luck). I compare it to arriving December 19th for Christmas Week at the Poly..you check in the last night of value season for $329 a night for the week but if you don't know and check in on the 20th each night will cost you $519!!!! Sometimes you just have to know the systems.

I think the GP code is going to be the same as the Visa one because its the same one they offered to Canada. As for AAA, I saved about 200 over my AAA rate with the Visa code.

Hope that helps :)

thanks JNSNJNT! i guess i will find out tomorrow when its released to the general public. i actually applied for my disney visa last week! i havent heard anything yet though. :3dglasses
