January 20, 2013 - 4 Night Bahamian Cruise

I have a daughter who is turning 10 and we are giving her the cruise as her birthday gift!! It's still a surprise!! Love to meet others with kids her same age!

Georgia is turning 10 in Dec 27th. The cruise isn't a surprise but but it is her birthday celebration.

if you go to disney cruise line port adventure page ( http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/cruises-destinations/shore-excursions/ ) you can select nassau or castaway cay and see what excursions are offered. If you have questions on a particular excursion, don't hesitate to ask. I'm not an expert but we've been to nassau 7 times and to castaway cay 4 times. I'm also sure there are others on the disboards that can answer them too.

Now here is the itinerary and a few events on the ship:

I'm new at the fish extenders...I get that we give gifts to our group but are they used for communicating with each other on board? Do we meet as a group at some point?

I'm thinking our cruise is not even close to sold out. I was online today changing some Spa reservation times and there are still TONS of choices available.

The wife and I are not doing the FE this cruise. We are celebrating our 13th Anniversary on this cruise. The best part is. It is the day we are at Castaway Cay. I am so looking forward to our time together. We are doing the couples swedish. So this going to be fun.

This is our 3rd Disney cruise. If you have been on a Disney cruise you can check in earlier the the ones that have not been on one.

So, I am getting excited (maybe too excited!) and I went a little crazy in the Halloween store. Do adults dress up for pirate night?

Second question: Anyone know what time I should select for check in if we are being transported from the resort?

Baysailers,

You would be amazed at how many adults dress up. Some go all out and spend lots of $$ on their outfits. You will have fun and google Disney Cruise and Pirate Night, you will see lots of personal photos out there and how everyone dresses.

Secondly, you can check any time to check it, but I don't think they look at it if you are transferring from the resorts to the ship as they are on their own time when to pick you up and deliver you.

You can book plenty before you board the ship. Spa treatments, Hair appts, personal trainers, kid's club for the kids, specialty eats like Palo or Remy, Excursions and such. Once you go online to do your check in, you'll have the option to book these things.

Alexa is turning 10 on Dec 25 and this is her birthday celebration too! Glad there will be other girls her age

Is anyone thinking of staying after the cruise to go to Disneyworld? I have read mixed opinions, but am thinking since we are there any way it would be a shame not to stay for a day or two after.

We are staying at the Art of Animation for two days pre cruise Jan 18-20!!

We are looking to doing the FE, but not being the most tech savy , don't know where we are to put our info. Help please!

BTW, just bought DD the cutest Cinderella rolling carryon at the Disney outlet. Think that will be what we wrap up for Christmas when she will find out that we are going.

We have decided to do the night before at the AK and 2 nights after at the Poly. Anyone else going to be catching the Magic Express to and from?

We are staying at the Art of Animation pre cruise and taking the magical express to the resort then the Disney cruise line bus from the resort to the port and to the airport after.
