I personally would be in favor of ending the FE list before Christmas, like on the 18th () so I can hit up post holiday sales for goodies. But I suppose I can always buy a few more items just in case!

Has anyone been to the Port of Miami before? I plan to search the main board for tips on that port, but if others have been before let me know the scoop. Is parking easy, and directions well marked? Is there covered/garage parking? Is there a nice view while on the ship or leaving port, or is it 'industrial'? Just curious

Any other comments on the FE date? If not, I will change the close date to the 18th. I'm all in favor of some after Christmas bargains!!

Hello everyone!! I am booked on this cruise with my DH, DD1 (4) and DD2 (1). Although my DH, DD1 and I have cruised before, this will be our first time on a Disney cruise and DD2 first cruise. We are super excited and can't wait!! We are cruising with some of DH family but, there are no kids close to the same age as my daughter's so, I would love to meet other families with children close in age to ours.

We have been living in Miami for the last 3 years and also lived here previously in 2000 for 5 years. Also, DH is a native of Miami, so I can answer all your Miami-related questions with a smile!

I am not quite sure what FE's are yet, but I am sure I will figure it out or maybe someone here can advise me??

Can't wait to meet everyone (online and in person)!!

Welcome! My oldest son is 3 and has been on a few cruises with Disney. We are very familiar with the nursery and can give you lots of information on that. But this will be his first cruise being in the 'big kids clubs'. I don't have any tips on that, but maybe your daughter and my son will be in activities together! If you need advice on the nursery let me know.

I know I want to reserve Palo one day for either brunch or dinner (still not sure) so, when I reserve that, then I reserve the same times at the nursery?? Also, will they only take her if I have reserved time for her? What if we want to leave her on a whim for a little bit, will they take her??

Oh, I was also wondering if you, or anyone else, know when is formal night for this cruise?

As for what days and times, thats kind of up to what you and your family want to do. I think most people either do 'naptime' for their kids or dinner/late evening so they can maybe eat or do the shows without the baby. So, if you are thinking of either of those general times, I'd book now just to be sure you have something. In all the cruises we've been on with our son in the nursery (3 so far), we have never had trouble dropping him off at our non-reserved time (thought we usually call ahead first), or extending our reserved time a little bit on either end. No guarantee, but in general they have been very accommodating in the past. They will of course still charge you for the extra time. And I don't think they would let you have TOO many extra hours, but a few over the course of the cruise, I would think would probably be okay. Definitely book the nursery for your Palo time.

OMG I have been so busy with work that I forgot to check the Disboards and the Castaway Club. Just checked and we have a cabin assigned. A little pixie dust came our way and it looks like we how a view of Castaway Cay.
