January 18, 2014 FANTASY 7 Day Western!

We'll be taking the grandkids on their 2nd Disney cruise and helping their mom celebrate getting her Bachelor's degree right before be leave for the cruise - really looking forward to this one and checking out the newest ship.:cheer2:

Hi, I'm Patty. Will be traveling with family in a total of 3 rooms. Will post my info for Fish Extender when I get home and have room number handy. This cruise will be my big hurray for graduating college this coming December. Been a lot of work but is so worth it. My little girl will hopefully be bringing her friend, and my teenage son will be sharing a room with his uncle. (Oh no the man-cave!). Lol. This will be out second trip and I'm looking forward to going this time knowing more of what to look forward to.

Welcome to you all! Its awesome that you're both on the boards! :cool1:

I have added you to the who's cruising with us list, please refer to the first post if you're interested in a DIS meet up on embarkation day :dance3:

Time seems to be flying by! We will be at Port Canaveral in no time! pixiedust:

I had a hard time getting my daughter OUT of the Oceaneers club on our last cruise a couple years ago. She was 6 and is even more excited to go this time. :-)

I know a few people have already expressed their interest in the meet up so I am going to start an official list to keep on top of names and numbers. Please could you comment if you're interested in going to the meet up and let me know how many in your party will be attending. I will update the "Who's cruising with us" post so we can keep track of how big the meet up group is getting. :cool1:
The meet up will be a great experience, finally meeting everyone on the thread. It will also be where we add final room changes to the FE list for people who upgrade at the port etc (although if you cant make it to the meet up, Rhiannon and I will keep an up to date FE list on our door throughout the cruise)

This is all getting very exciting! :mickeyjum
I love the pictures, keep them coming. It will make it much easier to spot the DISers once we get onboard

Cant wait to meet you all! :goodvibes

Hi, I am trying to figure out how to post a couple of pics from out last cruise but can not for the life of me figure out how to do it, when I try to insert image it wants a url? I have no idea how to do that.
Thanks for any help you can offer!

Hi just wanted to drop a note, we have changed our sail date to sept 27 2014, so we will be leaving this group

I had a hard time getting my daughter OUT of the Oceaneers club on our last cruise a couple years ago. She was 6 and is even more excited to go this time. :-)

It was like that with our girls too. Actually Oceaneer's played a big part in our decision to go on this cruise. We just did our first cruise this past January on the Dream and had a blast. Originally, we were going to wait another year or two to go again, but then we realized that our oldest would be too old for Oceaneer's and she'd really wanted to go back there. So my DH said "OK, how about we go next year then?" Well how can I refuse an offer like that?! :woohoo:

As for your photo question. I think you have to find a website to upload your photos and then put that link as the URL. You can PM me if you need an assist. Hope that helps! :)

I haven't checked in for awhile, and I was so happy to see all the activity, and see so many excited as we are for the cruise!! :cheer2:

We are planning to fly down from Baltimore on Friday, and then use DCL transportation bus on Saturday morning. Has anyone used the Disney transfer from one of the Disney hotels? We're wondering if it works well, or if the bus ride is painfully slow because it seems to stop at every Disney hotel looking for more passengers.

Looking forward to seeing everyone, and having another great Disney vacation!

We are using the Disney transportation from the Orlando airport to the ship for the first time. Am I understanding you correctly? The bus from the airport to the port terminal stops at every Disney hotel before it goes to the ship?

This is also our first time using the DCL transport, so I'm just kinda guessing...:confused3:

I would think that the bus from the airport would be pretty full from all the various flights, and they wouldn't need to go around to the hotels, and would instead, go directly to Port Canaveral. But the hotels probably have less people cruising, so the buses would just be picking up a few people at each hotel... Again, that is what I'm guessing, so I was asking for anybody else's experience using the bus transport.

We have done Disney transport from both the airport and the resorts. When we left from the airport it was a straight shot to PC. When we left from the Boardwalk we stopped at Saratoga Springs before heading to the port. Hope that helps.

Very helpful! Thanks!:yay:

Use a website such as tinypic.com :yay: It's quick and easy and you don't have to signing up or anything. Just upload your photo and then copy and paste the IMG code into your post, the one that says its for message boards. :thumbsup2

So my kids are so excited they want to put together a weekly countdown to the trip! After many minutes/hours, construction paper and staples we have our countdown done, complete with instructions and reminders of what to prep (like hunting down suitcases, requesting school work for kids from teachers, rechecking if the summer clothes still fit (lol) and making sure our passports are packed in the travel bag). I have to post a few more times before it will let me upload pics but I will once I have gotten to that point. Also encouraging my kids to try to stash atleast a dollar each time they pull a countdown tag, so they accumulate some spending money of their own.. (also my sneaky way of getting them to do more chores without being asked :rolleyes1 )

Ok, well that works, thank you so much! :worship:
But I still have to post a few more times before the forum will let me add images. Its ok, I'm sure I can find a few more things to comment on, questions to ask and otherwise make a nuisance of myself with. :rotfl:
Thank you again!

When we did it before the shuttle went straight to the port from the airport. They played a video that was timed perfectly to end right as you arrived at the port. It really built the excitement.

Ok, I think it will let me post this now. Here was boarding day on our previous cruise, February 2011 on the Wonder. Our group in the picture included my kids and I and everyone in Goofymom4pj plus great-Grandma (who we are trying to convince is indeed still up for the next trip). Goofymom4pj and I agreed this was one of the best group pics we have as my daughter is being such a ham.

Looking forward to making more memories!

What a great idea, I'm tempted to make one of those paper chain cut out countdowns for myself! I just cant wait!

Just stopping in to say hi again... still excited about our trip. I know we want to go see some of the Mayan ruins, but having a hard time deciding which port adventure to choose. Have any of you guys been there before? pirate:

Haven't been before, but I was thinking about doing the Chacchoben Maya Ruins Tour with Native Choice. I'm a little nervous about doing a 2 hour non-DCL tour (not including travel time) when we only have 4 hours at Costa Maya. They do get high ratings from DISsers and Trip Advisor and the company claims they adapt the tour length to the cruise timetable and always get their clients back to their ship in time. Still, I haven't quite decided! :confused3 Has anybody else used them before?
