January 18, 2014 FANTASY 7 Day Western!

I bet it will be a long trip! I have trouble getting my husband on a 2 hour flight. LOL. Have you been on a Disney cruise before? This is our 4th, and our 2nd time on the fantasy.

Haha! I think it will be around 18 hours of flying all up, but being from NZ we're quite used to taking a long time to get anywhere!

Yes, this will be our 4th too, our second out of Florida. All of our previous cruises have been on the Wonder though, so I am very excited to finally set foot on one of the new ships!

Lol... Glad I don't need to travel that long! I would never see anything...lol... Have you signed up for the FE? I have, starting to think about what to do this time. I might repeat from my FE gifts, I thought they were fun.

Yes, very excited about the FE this time! I'm starting to get my ideas together too. We have a lot of fun handing them out, it's a great way to see more of the ship!

Hi... Thanks for the welcome. I mostly lurk on my phone, but now I'm on my laptop. I sent in my FE info, but I need to double check the rooms I listed for the FE. I have officially claimed the outside stateroom. My DH & DS15 will be sleeping in most mornings, and they can have the cavelike inside stateroom for that.

Alaska was AMAZING - WONDERFUL - FANTASTIC, etc. There are not enough positive adjectives to describe it. If you are considering the Alaskan cruise, I'd be happy to answer any questions.

Yes, we are 2A & 3C.... DS15 (actually 14 now) will be celebrating his 15th birthday on embarkation day. This will be his 4th Disney birthday. Spoiled rotten child. Don't know how he got that way. lol I blame his mother.

Yes, very excited about the FE this time! I'm starting to get my ideas together too. We have a lot of fun handing them out, it's a great way to see more of the ship!

We love participating in the FE & seeing all the original ideas. Some of our favorites were "hometown" items. Some folks included postcards from their hometown or home state. We had one traveler from Japan on our Alaskan cruise, and she gave us origami pages with instructions on how to make animals found in Disney movies. Simple, but memorable. The Japanese candy she included was a hit with the kids (and me too).

I received a couple of homemade character keychains, which I converted to Christmas ornaments for my Disney tree (yep, I have a Disney tree). I always love receiving and collecting Disney ornaments for it. They all have a story to tell.

Can you tell I am excited once again about the FE!

She is a Brownie here in NZ which is the younger girls version of Girl Guides and she and wants to take some Girl Guide badges to give to others on the cruise if there are any Girl Scouts (is that what they're called in USA?) or Boy Scouts out there.

Yes, both of my girls will be Girl Scouts next year. Lydia will be a Daisy (that's the level for kindergarten & 1st grade) and Ella will be a Junior (for 4 & 5th graders). That would be cool to do some sort of exchange. Here in the US, when multiple troops meet up for an activity, they make little trinket pins called "swaps". Maybe we can do something like that.

We did a Dream cruise this January too! When did you go? We were on the January 17 sailing. 3-day cruises are way too short, but it did accomplish my secret objective of getting the family hooked on DCL so they'd be begging to do a longer cruise!

We probably passed each other! We were on the Jan 20-24 cruise, I'm sure 3 days was short bc 4 was short for us especially since my baby didn't take any pics with the characters until the last day

We are very excited to be joining you! There are two of us traveling without any of our kids or grand kids. But you are all welcome to consider us your "grand parents" for the week. We love Disney...yes, we have a Disney Christmas tree and rec room! We were previously on a 10 day Southern Caribbean sailing on the Disney Wonder. Can't wait to meet all of you and make some Magic!
