You will get along well with my husband. Me, maybe not so much. This is my one year in awhile to have bragging rights for my Noles.

Happy Birthday to my DW Liz! :cake:

One week left to get in on the FE (closes Jan 3). :beach:

I'm thinking my kids are spoiled....they don't like the wait from this one until Thanksgiving 2014.

I'm hoping Thanksgiving 2015 will be out then so I can book...but wondering if that will be one of the block out dates for onboard booking...some new policy effective the 13th I think. I can't find the exact dates yet but pretty sure it will be all the holiday dates, spring break, etc.

Are you doing any tastings this time?
On the thread that was started on the DIS the dates were posted and I do remember Thanksgiving 2014 was *not* blocked out which I thought was honestly odd. Others mentioned too some of the dates didn't make a lot of sense where as some of the others were obvious. I hope for you and others Thanksgiving 2015 won't be blocked so fingers crossed!

Hello Cruisers!
Merry Christmas Getting excited about our cruise..but have tons going on in the meantime. Currently in VA for a ski trip and its 70* Hummm, should have went on a cruise! Does anyone know what the movie on board will be? We are so hoping to see Saving Mr. Banks!

Happy Holidays and See everyone soon!
:mickeyjum:tinker:
We are also planning on seeing Frozen and Saving Mr. Banks. On my last cruise (12/5 Dream) my friend and I saw Frozen in 3d (highly recommend!!) and Thor and enjoyed both.

Can't believe it's three weeks away!

Do any of you wear matching shirts/outfits any of the days? Or dress up for the pirate night?

Amy

Another question ... sorry ...

I've read that the Oceaneer Club goes to age 10 on the Magic but age 12 on the Wonder. Does anyone know why there's this difference? And I've read that The Stack starts at age 13 ... so what do 11 & 12 year olds do?

Does anyone know if Cabanas is the only option for lunch upon embarkment? I thought I read somewhere that one of the restaurants is open for sit down service for but can't remember where I saw it .

Good question. I was wondering the same.

It was parrot cay so I'm guessing it will be Carioca's. But they will direct you when you get on board.

On the reimagined Magic, I expect it will be Cabanas topside and Cariocas on the lower deck?

If by "sit down" you mean table service with a waiter/ress taking your food order, that won't be an option. It will be a buffet at both places. However, at the lower deck dining room you will be seated by a host/ess at an assigned table and a server brings your drinks. At the top side restaurant you seat yourself and get your own drinks.

I am glad to have a little more time. Until now our focus has been the holidays, so it is nice to have a few weeks to enjoy the anticipation of the cruise. And yes we dress up for Pirate night and wreak havoc on the Goofy pool dance floor! YOLO right?

As of today, the FE has 19 staterooms and 65 participants including 34 adults and 31 children.

The FE closes on Jan 3. On Jan 4, I will finalize the list and post a final update on this thread. No new participants/staterooms will be added after Jan 3, but I will continue to update the list with changes and corrections.

If you want to participate in the FE Gift Exchange please send me a PM (private message) with the stateroom number, number of adults/children with ages of children. If applicable, special concerns (food restrictions, allergies, etc).

Thank you for the response. Do you know if the food available would be the same in both places? I am guessing it probably is the same.

We LOVE Cabanas - seriously we do and I from what I've read and experienced there is more variety at Cabanas. I think most people decide based on do they want to be pampered and have drinks brought to them and eat in a little quieter area (Carioca's) vs. Cabanas that is more "lively" with more options? We can't wait to see how the new Cabanas on the Magic is vs. the Dream and Fantasy. We did *not* like the layout and flow of the Beach Blanket Buffet on the Wonder but we never sailed on the Magic. Nothing that would stop us from sailing on the Wonder but we just love the true Cabanas.

Also, when we boarded the Wonder for Alaska Parrot Cay was already opened but we had to wait a little longer for Beach Blanket Buffet to open up. Also, if they direct you or guide you towards one vs. the other - you can always go to the one you want to! :thumbsup2

Don't know, but it is probably worth investigating before you decide. On our first cruise our friends found a round of stone crab claws served top side, but not us at parrot cay where we had lunch.

Getting so totally excited….
Is there a meet and greet planned yet for this group before the muster drill? Just wondering so the kids can put faces together before going the clubs!!!
