Got home from picking up DS#2 at U of ILL and there they were..

I'm going on the Mexican Cruise with the Wonderful Mexican Mickeys.!!!!!

So what are people doing for LAX->San Pedro transportation? We're coming in on the 14th (plane lands around 3:00 p.m.) and staying at the Crowne Plaza. Is there anyone else staying at the CP or nearby that would be interested in splitting a van/limo? The cheapest I've found so far for my wife and myself is $40 (with tip) on Super Shuttle. If we can get the same or a better price splitting cost with someone on a private vehicle we'll go that route.

We are going down to the CP that day too. I checked out super shuttle and I can get a private van for $55 plus tip but max number is 4. The thing I like about that is it goes direct. Didn't wanna do the share thingy they have cause it could take forever to get there with stops for other passengers along the way. I also checked primetime shuttle and they have a limo for $135 for up to 9.

Ok so after I posted yesterday AM, I got a call from TA afternoon and I GOT DOCS!!! Actually I got a spral bound booklet of my info and then my luggage tags. I just need the luggage tags..
Not much longer.
I booked the Sea Lion excursion ..I think the kids will like this. Unfortunately the 10am time was gone and all that was left was 8am. Not worried about getting up in time but more concerned how cold the water will be. It's a private pool for the Sea Lions so hoping the water is at least tolerable for me...I don't get in normally unless it's bath water temp I think we will have fun. Was gonna do Whale watching too but that was sold out. I will check closer to or onboard in case anyone had to cancel and there would be open spots. I think Cabo 2nd day we will enjoy the ship...though more people will probably be doing that so maybe we will reverse it and enjoy day one on a quietier ship and get off a bit on day 2. We could sail at sea for 7 days and we would be happy
Well back to bed for me...my shoulder is bothering me so I got up and thought I would check the dis of course.. Now back to bed. Nighty night!

Cruise docs have made it to New Jersey! I guess last time I cruised, we had to fill out all the paperwork in the booklet whereas now we fill them out online, so the book didn't really have anything in it that I didn't already know (other than my luggage tags). I hate to say it but it was a bit anticlimactic. That being said, I'm still very, very excited about the cruise. And holy mackeral! It's getting close

Well, off to start the day and figure out how I'm going to finish getting ready for Hannukkah (in 3 days), Christmas (in 7 days), my son's birthday (in 2 weeks) and the cruise (leaving in 26 days) in such a short amount of time...ack!!!!!

Michelle- are we now officially closed for the FE? I have to see if I have enough stuff to make everything I was thinking of doing or I'be got to get back to the store.

I am sure it is the same as travel, but we try to stay within 2 hours from home. I am going to feel really bad if she doesn't make the team because of this trip.

She's going to be at the first 2 days of try-outs, won't the coach understand that this trip was planned before she knew about the try-outs? If the coach can't understand family obligation he needs to get his priorities straight. Sorry to hear she might be given a hard time

So, I got some serious FE gift work done today. Some day soon, I'll actually start working on the FE itself, LOL!

How is everyone doing with their holiday prep? I can't believe that once the holidays are over, I'll only have 2 more weekends until the cruise.

I'm licking my lips just looking at that Mickey bar!
Holiday prep almost done here, just a bit of cooking left and wrap the Disney presents for mom.

FE gift work progressing well, have all the pieces for the FE just have to put it together, too.

Can't believe it is only 28 days! I think my TA has been in DisneyWorld so I haven't heard about the documents yet.

27 days!!! My countdown actually says 26, but of course I'm going to have to re-live January 12th twice. At least I only have to work on one of them.
It's funny, the online check-in wouldn't let us put an arrival time that was earlier than our departure time! We're going back to the future!

The really creepy thing was that as soon as I opened the envelope I got a text from DCL that said "DisneyCruise: Make time to relax. Today's the day to start making spa, dining, port adventures res and more."

That was kind of funny/creepy since I was about to do that 6 weeks ago. I also got an email about 2 minutes after that about ground transfers. I was amused.

Does anybody know if Cabo local time is the same as ship time? I read that PV time is CST an hour ahead of ship time which is on MST, but Cabo is the same?? The whale watching excursions are sold out both days for our cruise so we are going to do this on our own. Just want to make sure I book the right time. Thanks!!

We wanted to do it as well but saw it was I am sure you can ask someone on the MR boards. I will ask my freind who did this cruise and if you get an answer before than great if not maybe I can find out.
