I haven't gotten mine yet, hopefully when I get home! I WISH I still lived in sunny So Cal especially since it is currently 25 degrees here in NJ : (Where in South Cal you are from. I live in Oceanside Cal. Hope to meet up to you on the Cruise. Also got my Doc's today.![]()

That's so cool you live in Oceanside, I lived in La Jolla while I was at school at USD and graduated in 2007. If only my family and friends had lived there, I would have stayed forever, it was such a beautiful place to live!!!
I hope to meet you on the cruise as well! The cruise meet is going to be so fun to meet everyone after all this time...and yes I finally got my Cruise docs tonight!!Hope to meet you on the cruise. I work in La Jolla at the VA med center but live in Oceanside.
I think its a great idea to open it up to the floor for other suggestions on a place/time for a couple of days, and if nothing else pops up then we'll stick with Promenade Lounge at 10PM on night 1. And please the more the merrier for the meet and greet!!

My sister and I are definitely down for going to Route 66 after the cruise meet at 10 in the promenade lounge. It will be so fun for all of us to "go out" together and have some fun!!....I agree.
Ok everyone - feel free to post a reply & lets see if we can get a lot of us to go on afterwards to Route 66.
Looking forward to meeting you on the cruise as well! Regarding your cruise docs, is there another TA at the agency you're using that could check to see if your docs came in this week while your TA has been on vacation? Perhaps if you call and ask another TA can check for them and send them to you if they came in. I wouldn't worry though, we just got ours in NJ on Tuesday.Sooooooo worried! My TA is on vacation and I still didn't receive my docs yet. I guess Canada is too far! aaaaaaaaaaaaaah! BTW. Merry Xmas and Happy New Year everyone. Looking forward to meet you all on the cruise.

Ok.....need a little bit of advise per what I have listed below ..please. This has also been posted under the resort section of Disboards via "Caribbean Beach Post #1 has all the Info" post board.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
>>Ok .....(on 01-07-09) My flight comes in around 10:30am. I will be at CBR at approx 11:30am. Get pre-checked in @ approx 12 noon "ish' (yes in a dream world IF IF IF no flight delays, yada yada yada...). I have 6pm "Cirq" tickets at Dwn Twn Disney (must be there by 5pm to p/u tickts @ will call).
So my question is do you suggest I visit AK (ride Exp Everest & see Tree of Life/Its a Bugs life & thats it) then be at Dwntwn Disney say around 5pm "ish"? Would I make it to Dwntwn Disney by 5pm?
Or no??? Just go straight on to Dwntown Disney (after getting pre-checked in @ CBR) & do some shopping / get something to eat....say nap on a bench for an hour..THEN go see Cirq???? BUT WHAT'S MY ROOM #??
You can definitely make it to AK and do those 2 attractions and have plenty of time to make it to DTD by 5 pm. Are you sure that is all you want to see in AK though? The Kilamanjaro (sp?) Safari is amazing, and Kali River Rapids and Dinosaur are also fun. And the Festival of the Lion King show is great too. If you kept a good pace and got fast passes, you could also probably do most if not all of these things and still be at DTD by 5pm too.
I need someone to explain this to me ... I mean how in the world can WDW electronically program your KTTW card WITHOUT you being present for them to "tell it" what your Room # is ??Per se, (lifted from the Resort Disboard post): " Whether your rm is ready or not, you are always able to check in & get your KTTW card, which will enable to to go out to the parks & enjoy. There is no maybe about it, & it isn't dependent on your room being ready. If you check in before your room is ready, you will be given your KTTW cards, along with a card with a telephone number on it.. you call that # later on in the day to find out your rm # (if its ready yet) so that way, when you return to the resort later on in the day, you don't have to go to the customs house & wait in line, you can just directly to your rm and enter."
-----
Well.... my question has to do about about calling that phne # to see what your room # is (I feel that I will be pre-checking in w/no room assigned just yet). So....fellow Disney Wonder cruisers....do you suggest I "Hang around" CBR for about an hour 1/2 (IF my room isn't ready) say get something to eat at the Food court..buy one of those refillable drinkng mugs....THEN go back to Customs House to get room #, THEN go onto Dwntwn Disney??
Only issue I have is have no way of calling that phne# -(if I go straight onto Dwntwn Disney or AK). Fair to say WDW has pay phones????? How much to call that #???? Also......
RELAX...Disney has this all planned out very well. When you check in and they program your KTTW card, they assign you to a room. Thus, they know your room number but you won't. This is because they don't want you going to your room before its ready or while there are still guests in it before they check out. Hence, your card is ready, you just can use it until you call and they confirm it is now ready. You don't have a cell phone? I'm sure they have pay phones, it would probably just be a local phone call charge to call the number. Or, in your case, you probably won't have to call at all...because your room is guaranteed to be ready by 3 pm, and you will be out and about all day in AK and DTD, so by the time you get back it will definitely be ready. My advice is to checkin and get your day started in AK, even if your room happened to be ready right when you check in. You shouldn't waste valuable time checking out the room...you'll have plenty of time the rest of your trip to enjoy your room.....yes, fellow cruisers, I understand this is more of a WDW question but.... I am thinking there may be one of you out there who knows & or can assist me in some much needed advise. Keep in mind I am only running off of the issue of what that other person wrote in about the KTTW card "being auto programmed with your room number once they know your room # etc etc etc so please be patient with me.![]()
In a "dream world," I would like to get Pre-checked in, Go to AK (12pm to 4pm), boogy on down to Dwntwn Disney by 5pm, see Cirq @ 6pm, do some light shopping afterwards & get back to CBR when done but need some help here. Or, is it better to get pre-checked in, go to dwn twn disney & shop, see Cirq," then call that # & then go back to my hotel room??
Or is it JUST EASIER to hang around CBR , get that rm #, THEN go onto dwntwn disney?? (becuz of possible "Murphy's Law" aka "Flight delays, I've been up since 3am & I am in a tired mode, etc). I tell you what, this is driving me(
).
Ok....WDW Princess or ???? The answer is?????????![]()
P.S. I figure I will be up & about at 3:30am that day to catch a 5:30am taxi to DFW airport for a 7:45am flight into Orlando (on 01-07-09).
Regarding our Cruise Meet, it has been a few days and no other suggestions have been thrown into the mix, so is it safe to assume everyone is cool with meeting on Night 1 at 10:00 PM in the Promenade Lounge? Please reply and confirm if you are interested in this time/place. Also, as knewton64 suggested, if any adults are also interested keep in mind that some of us are planning to head down to the Route 66 area after the meet for more fun, so we hope to see you there! This is going to be so fun!
MK FOOD SUGGESTIONS:
I have got all my other days down ok per the food issue but not MK. Need suggestions as this will be where I will be spending my last day at the parks. I plan on seeing Spectromagic & the fireworks show after but the food just has me stumped!. I am open to all kinds of food suggestions as you are talking to someone who has eaten Hawaiian Ika before (hey...it was layered in Ghiradeli chocolate).
The only good place to eat in MK for a sit-down meal is Cinderella's Royal Table for the experience of actually eating in the castle and meeting Cinderella and other princesses. However, this almost always books up months in advance. You could try to get a reservation, but it is unlikely this close to your trip......>
---------------------------------
I am looking now to see If I can obtain last minute dinner ressies @ the places you suggested (eating a meal at Cincerella's Castle sounds cool) but..........if unsucessful - you still raise a good point & it's about the Monorail.
Would you suggest I ride it for the experience of being in it?? So, while at MK (my last day before I go onto DCL), where is is located at & where/what do you guggest I go/see or visit?? I admit, that does have me curious.
If I get dropped off at a place, how long the way until the next one comes around??
