Sorry, gang, Ive been away from the Dis for awhile. Someone e-mailed me the link to this thread and told me to check it out so here I am.
I do have the 2002 booklets regarding three of the WDW vacation packages. My favorite Disney CM was able to send them to me since the WDW Contact Us folks couldnt help me out, even though I had told them that without knowing exactly what was offered in the 2002 packages, they ran the risk of me canceling my upcoming Grand Plan vacation. It was very frustrating to have them basically e-mail me over & over again the exact same stuff that is found on the Disney World website (not a whole heck of a lot of info in there). Anyhow, like I said, my favorite CM came through for me with flying colors and actually sent me all three of the vacation plan booklets (by the way, the booklets come in both English AND Spanish the front half is all in English, then you flip it over and turn it upside-down and find the Spanish version; I wonder how many other languages these booklets come in?).
We might be able to get a thread going that lists everything that is covered by all three of WDWs major vacation packages. However, as Andrew so kindly pointed out, this will be a tough task. Why? Because Disney is Disney and everything is subject to change without prior notice at any given time. But if we can put that disclaimer in there, I think that would at least alert folks to the fact that they will need to verify what will be covered for their own particular vacation. A generic thread should at least give them an idea regarding what might be offered.
I will try to find the time this weekend to type up the things that are currently listed in the booklets that I have. Hang in there. Then we can really get the thread going with opinions and suggestions from folks regarding how to get the most fun out of any of these packages. I know that I currently have an Excel spreadsheet that I created that lists lots of fun activities that I am planning for my upcoming Grand Plan vacation. My only problem with my spreadsheet, however, is that I have no time scheduled for sleeping. Oh, I personally have no problem with that, but my husband does (he needs his beauty sleep). And by the way, as it was last year, it is this year, NONE of the GFs wonderful childrens programs are covered under the Grand Plan. Can you believe that? Here I am, paying lots of money for my little daughter to use the plan, and all she basically gets is in-room babysitting and kids club entrance. I get parasailing, wakeboarding, horseback riding, massages, major theme park tours, Dolphin Encounters, and dinner at Victoria & Alberts (okay, she can eat there, too, but I wont dare take her she cant sit still for a 2-1/2 hour meal). And on my daughters Grand Plan, she gets in-room babysitters and kids club access. Boy, oh, boy. Yippee.
