Janet Jackson apologizes

Equipment malfunction was originally stated which made me question, even IF it was (which I never believed) what was supposed to happen? Now, I know but still don't buy it.

*LOL* I agree!!

She "apologizes" that she got "caught!;)

Just another Jackson on the loser list.

Tell me - how is it you can concoct a stunt like that at the last minute and really want to do it? Wouldn't you immediately say to yourself "hey, this might be fun at Spring Break, but there will be little kids watching, I can't do this NOW!"

I'd like to know what kind of crack Ms. Jackson-if-you're-nasty has been smoking lately.

Her apology is worthless if you ask me.

Well, in Janet's case, I think it's pretty obvious she did do something.;)

Not in this case and not with the pre game hype that she would do something "shocking". Of course we live in a culture where you can say "I'm sorry" and all is forgotton. Nope, just another Jackson loser.

Actually I was talking about Michael. Or am I reading too far into the 'just ANOTHER jackson loser' ?

tricia.

Michael Jackson is a loser guilty or not guilty (notice I didn't say "innocent")

Do you guys think Janet got paid for apologizing so CBS or MTv won't look so bad?

I wouldn't be surprised if she was. Whatever her motive for apologizing, it came off as very insincere. It's amazing how one second of seriously foolish behavior can so drastically change a person's image. I lost a lot of respect for her after her stunt. And whatever respect I had for Justin Timberlake is certainly right out the window as well.

You know, I have wondered if she pulled that stunt to take attention away from Michael and his problems...

"And whatever respect I had for Justin Timberlake is certainly right out the window as well."

You have to wonder whats going through his mind being so contrite now after Access Hollywood aired his"we had to give you something to talk about comment" when he looked so pleased about the whole situation.

Yeah, and now he's trying to act all angry and embarrassed and is basically putting all the blame on Janet which makes him appear even more pathetic. I've lost all respect for both of them.

I don't think they had to pay her. I think they might have had to threaten her with not giving her new album/videos time or something like that.

Justin looked a little too happy with himself about the whole thing. Blech

Until these people have to deal with actual consequences then they are going to continue to push the envelope. Why would anyone care if they apologize? It's like a little kid doing something wrong and then saying I'm sorry in hopes of avoiding punishment.

By-the-way, why are the Grammys banning Jackson and not Timberlake? They seem equally responsible. Jackson is a presenter and Timberlake a nominee.
