Jane E.'s Fitness Journal

Great job getting back into the 140's!!! You'll stay there this time! :thumbsup2

I don't know how you can just drink water and not eat all day. I like food WAY too much! Congrats on having a candy-free day! :cheer2:

Any exciting plans for the weekend?

I have never tried white merlot. I'll have to check it out.

The Heat Won Again!!!!! I'm doin' the happy dance! :dancer:

I went to get a card for dh for Father's Day. As a joke I was going to buy a sympathy card. When I reached up for the first card in the sympathy section I was surprised to find instead a card that said "For the One I Love" with an illustration of a couple on a dock with their feet dangling in the water. I almost teared up. Of course, I had to get him that card. When our kids were little I never bought him a card for Fathers Day; after all, he's not my dad. I decided to get him one this year since he always gets me one for Mothers Day. Besides I had to buy one for the cat and dog.

Another NO CANDY DAY!!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

#1 eggwhite omelette with onions, peppers, LC lf cheese wedge, veggie sausage, one apple, oj

#2 watermelon, 6 slices of shaved turkey breast w/ 2 wedges of the Laughing Cow lf, cranberry juice

#3 (during the game - major temptaton time) I had a glass of the CocoPolada with my neighbor and 6 slices of turkey w/2 cheese wedges - This is instead of the chip & dip stuff.

No workout today.

Thanks for celebrating with me Anna and Amy!!!   It feels great being in the 140s. Not much planned for the weekend because I'm working. However, we do have a Fathers Day breakfast to go to early on Sunday morning with our relatives.

140's again, Jane, WOO HOO!!!!! :cool1:  :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

The beach sounds like it was wonderful.....sigh.....someday!!

Hope you're having a good weekend - back on track, no milk duds, no snickers!!

Have a great week next week!

Jane you did great watching the game! Your eating is fantastic - Way to go!!

Great job on another candy-free day!!! :cool1: :cheer2: :thumbsup2

It looks like you finally have your eating back in check. That's wonderful! :woohoo:

How did Father's Day go?

My computer is broken so I'm usually ds' Mac. And I'm not good at it! He has a bigger monitor than I have but the print is smaller than on mine. I can barely see this page. This is not fun.

I messed up this weekend big time. I couldn't believe my eating on Fathers Day. We went out for breakfast with our extended family. At the restaurant they serve you your food buffet style. I asked for 1/2 scoop of eggs, 2 bacon and 2 sausage. Thats it. I received 4 slices of bacon. 4! I decided I would only eat 2. However, I eat faster than everyone so while I was waiting I ended up eating all 4 slices. I felt horrible.

THen I went to work and my boss had written me a thank u note and give me about 10 Hershey Kisses on Saturday. By 5pm on Sunday all of the kisses were gone.

The one good thing I did was not to eat the lunch provided by work. Each day I did a Lean Cuisine meal. Also on Fathers Day I did not eat any German choc cake or homemade cookies provided by work. On the downside, one of my coworkers gave me homemade choc chip bar - I only took half of it though.

Last night during the game I had one glass of the tomato jalapeno wine. That stuff is rich - only one glass at a time. Then I had two glasses of white merlot.

I started today with a ham wrap and two mocha bars. I hope by tomorrow my weight is back in the 140s - I waiting until then to get weighed.

Julie, I love the beach when the waves are big. We had a great time - its a great way to get in exercise. We just need to get out there more often.

Anna, for last night's game I stuck with wine. No chips, no dip, no Snickers! By the 3rd quarter I got upset with the playing and went to bed. This morning I was happy to hear that we won again!!!!

Amy, as you can see this Fathers Day had its eating challenges. The reason I was so mad was that I used it up on something I don't really care about. It'd be different if I'd been eating eggs benedict or french toast but bacon!!! I felt full of salt all day long. I was really mad because my size 12 pants had been fitting just a tad loose. After my bacon binge they were back to feeling like normal - which is not a good thing. I want my loose pants back.

I'm having a hard time! My computer is broken again. The on/off switch keeps getting stuck so we returned it to the comptuer store. When our Dell broke last year we went to a local computer place and had them build us one. This is the third time the on/off switch has broken. We've also had problems with the cd and fan. Now, I wish we'd just bought another Dell.

I'm on ds Mac and I don't know what I'm doing. He has a bigger screen than my computer but I can barely read this print. I did a whole reply and can't figure out how to right click on his mouse so I didn't save my reply - the server was busy and I couldn't get back to my reply. I think its gone. My eyes hurt, I have a headache and I'm waiting to get my compuetr back - it should be tomorrow. I can barely read the posts anyway. I'm hoping that my other post is saved - I hate those busy servers!!!!

Julie, Anna & Amy, thanks for your support. My other post had more detail. The weekend was good and bad - I overate at our Fathers Day Breakfast. The downside was that I didn't even enjoy the food I overate - it'd be one thing if I'd been eating eggs benedict but I overate the bacon. 4 slices is way to much and I felt awfu all day. I did manage to avoid german choc cake and homemade cookies that our cook at work made. I brought LC meals for both of my lunches and that helped. It was a very mixed weekend. I hope my weight is down by weigh in tomorrow - I was doing so well.

Ds was home for lunch but he's leaving for work. I'm getting off of his computer since I can barely read the print anyway.

Jane, bummer on the computer being broken. Isn't amazing how dependent we are now on our technology? I hope your machine is fixed soon.

Rough weekend, but great job on the lunchs and resisting the cake, cookie bar, etc. WTG! :cheer2: :cheer2:

What a bummer about the computer! Maybe DS can show you how to fix the fonts?

Tomato Jalapeno wine? :crazy2: I could easily eat 6 pieces of bacon and not think twice about it... :rolleyes1

You resisted some tough stuff this weekend! Cookies are really hard to turn away. Great job only eating half of the chocolate chip bar! :cheer2:

:cool1: :cool1: MY COMPUTER IS BACK!!!! :cool1: :cool1:

I didn't want to mess with ds computer since I knew it was temporary but I couldn't read a darn thing. I swear the print size was about 6".

Now I can barely remember the weekend. I had another food glitch that I forgot to write about. Ds loves those frozen ice cream Snickers. I bought him a package. He ate 2 and I ate 4!! I couldn't stay away from them. I'd forgotten how much I liked those things.

Talking about food glitches - I bought shredded cheddar for ds. Thats another bad food for me. I managed to avoid it at yesterday's dinner. Ds and dh both had chicken fajitas. I made a chicken fajita salad for myself - wise choice. I put in just a little bit of shredded cheese. Perfect!

Then during the game the munchies made an appearance. I'd gotten a good snack - shrimp w/spicy cocktail sauce but I don't like that - thats what dh had. I had jalapeno cheez crackers w/shredded cheese and salsa - I can't tell you how much I love those. I also had 3 mimosas. I think the mimosas lowered my snack resistance. Somehow the two seem to go hand in hand - especially the salty cheesy snacks.

Speaking of the game - THE HEAT WON!!!!! I was very proud of my team. They hit the best out of 7 in only 6 games. All of the games were tough - very competitive. I could never relax - several times I quit watching only to hear that we'd come back to win! Great series!

This weekend I did 30 minutes of cardio.
Today I did 35 minutes of walking and 25 minutes of weights.

Today - oatmeal w/lf milk, apple, raisins & slivered almonds - a handful of blueberries and 3 bites of watermelon

curry chix salad on lettuce, mocha bar

I see that the computer printed both of my posts. I didn't think either was going to actually print! :badpc: - not my computer - my son's - The more I tried to post the worse it got. :badpc: I decided to to go computerless until mine was back.

Anna, I'm very happy my computer is back. My older ds once brought his laptop over and I hated that too! Thanks for your encouragement!

Amy, one glass of that tomato jalapeno wine was more than enough for me. Dh really seems to like it. Thats what we bought my mil's dh for Fathers Day. After I went back to work everyone went back to their house and tried it. Thanks for your support!

My weight was 153 today!!! Darn those 140ssssss!

Yay, your computer is back!

(insert devil clippie here) I'll bet the tomato jalepeno wine would go great with the cheese cracker snacks ....

Sorry the mimosas (yum!) got the better of you in the snack dept, but your food today looks great so you are right back on track - good job! :cheer2:

Yay on getting the computer fixed! :cheer2:

I'm glad the Heat won - I couldn't root for Dallas after they beat the Suns!

You will get back into the 140's soon. Your eating looked way better yesterday! Alcohol is always a healthy-eating killer! It really lowers your desire to eat right!

Great job getting those workouts in! :cool1:

I love having my computer back. I didn't realize how much I'd miss it.

Yesterday's dinner - nachos with crackers - also had jalapeno cheese.

Today
#1 cereal w/ fresh peaches, nf milk, oj
#2 curry chix salad over lettuce w/ 1/2 banana
#3 jalapeno cheese & 2 mocha bars

We're also having our insulation done next week. I can't wait its just way too hot. We contacted our electric company about coming out to inspect our house but its a 5 week wait. We can't wait that long so we won't be able to get the rebates. FPL has to come out BEFORE, find problems & then you can get the rebate. When the guy came out to estimate for insulation he agreed we definately needed an update.

Anna, that tomato/jalapeno wine is so rich I'd have to stop at one little glass. Maybe thats a good way to stay on program. Those mimosas are just way too good to stop at one.

Amy, :cheer2: Miami did great! :cheer2: After the owner of Dallas threw a fit and was fined I really didn't want them to win. It got personal! NOw, I've got to concentrate on fitting in more workouts. I've been waiting at home on repair guys and estimators all day. MOre of the same for tomorrow!

Your eating looks great! I got a weekend splurge out of the way early this week... But I'm OK with it! :teeth:

I have to go to central Phoenix to pick up my wine shipment. Stupid FedEx only comes to the house when I am at work and now I have to drive 23 miles to get it... :furious: But it is wine, so it's all worth it!

Bummer about the energy rebate. But the most important thing is that you are getting your insulation updated and hopefully the house will be cooler and your electric bill will be less!

I've been slacking on workouts too. It's like I've been looking for excuses lately. I am going to have to really try hard to make my challenge!

I finished up last night with more jalapeno cheese, crackers & fruit.

Today - cereal w/ 1 banana, oj
1/4 of a grilled pork chop, 3 mocha bars
1/2 ham on rye, lf cheese, cranberry juice
1 bowl of SW soup

I took all of the leftovers from the fajitas and threw it into a spicy soup. Dh does not like soup so I'm going to call it southwestern chicken chili - maybe he'll eat it. He wasn't thrilled with the pork chops I made for him and ds last night. I guess they weren't spicy enough - I guess I won't be grilling 'the other white meat' anymore - I don't really like them either.

Amy, I complained about driving to the winery and it was less miles than you have to drive for Fed Ex. Too bad you can't put your work address on that shipment but that probably wouldn't look good either.

The only way I like pork chops is with Shake-n-Bake. Nothing thrilling about grilling... :lmao:

Very creative with the leftovers! I am not brave enough to throw something like that together. Not to mention neither of my kids will eat any kind of soup or stew where stuff is all mixed together...

We drove to FedEx this morning. NOT in a nice part of town! It took us an hour round trip and that was 95% freeway driving! And then we come back to discover that they only shipped 4 out of the 6 bottles! :furious: I called and of course he was very apologetic and said he'd ship the other 2 on Monday. So here again with the FedEx debacle. The first time I get a notice of attempted delivery I am going to call FedEx and schedule an afternoon delivery. It better work!

Your food is looking great! Mine is not... Hope you are having a fantastic weekend! :cool1:

Jane, your eating looks great.

Sorry that you can't get the rebates for the insulation, but it will be nice to have it done and the house cooler.

Busy day! I'm worn out.

#1 cereal w/peaches, oj
#2 ham, turkey & lf cheese on rye, banana
#3 tons of shrimp and two martinis, bread w/oil & 1/2 side salad

This afternoon dh & I went out to eat to that wonderful seafood restaurant. We split a house salad, shrimp w/garlic, lime & sundried tomatoes, cocoanut shrimp, Plus I drank a popsicle martini & champagne martini

Amy, I'm sorry to hear about the Fed Ex Fiasco. All that driving - you'd better tell them to have an evening delivery. What happened with the winery?!? :furious: Thats awful.

Anna, we're just hoping for things to cool down here. Its been awful in the afternoons -I'm up to three showers a day. I hope the insulation works!

Your comment about 3 showers a day had me cracking up! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: I visited my brother when he was stationed in Shreveport, LA and it was SO miserable and humid and hot. I didn't even know why people bothered to take a shower...

I don't know what is up with the winery. Basically, I ordered 2 bottles of 2 different types of wine and they only sent me 1 of each. The owner was very apologetic and it's not like I can't wait until next week to get the other 2 bottles, but come on people, it's not rocket science! The FedEx thing is still maddening, but hopefully I learned the trick to have a successful home delivery this time around!

Mmm, a champagne martini sounds AWESOME! Sounds like a great restaurant.

I actually got brave enough to have friends over for dinner last night. I was afraid it was going to be too hot but thank God it rained all day so the house stayed under 80 degrees. We ended up just getting pizza, chix wings and Eskimo Pies. The junk food must've helped because I won a lot! :thumbsup2

I stayed away from dh's Squirt and drank lemon water all night.

Food today
#1 leftover pizza, oj
#2 1/2 turkey and lf cheese on rye, cranberry juice
#3 leftover pizza and chix wings

Amy, I can't believe the winery messed up your order. Its really disapointing not to get what you paid for in a timely manner. Hopefully, you'll get the whole order in this week.
