Jan trip

We are planning a Jan. 2005 trip to all the parks. Is it really necessary to have a detailed plan for each park since this is the least traveled time? Also, I have heard it would be best to buy our tickets before the end of the year because prices tend to go up at the beginning of the year. anybody know anything about these subjects. If so i would appreciate the advice.

I agree with you I don't think it is necessary to have a detailed schedule during that time, although I do think if there is anything really special that you want to do I would go ahead and make the ps or reservation. Making a ps does not mean that you have to go, you can always cancel. I would go ahead and buy the tickets, not just because prices may go up but that is something that could be paid off before even leaving on vacation.

The only time we have found it gets busier than usual is for Marathon weekend and Martin Luther King weekend. I think I would still make PS for something like Breakfast in the castle or a fireworks cruise though. I am not sure about ticket prices. We buy ahead of time to have things paid off before we go. I don't think you need a detailed plan for that time of year. You should be able to see everything at a comfortable pace. My family has visited WDW in the off-season and the only time we had any problems (and it was minor) was visiting MK on Saturdays. MK was usually pretty crowded on Saturdays. I've heard reasons for this ranging from the local residents visit on MK on Saturdays, people spend their last day at MK and leave for home on Sunday, during the off-season the evening parade only happens on Saturdays, etc. So you may want to consider this. Otherwise, enjoy the World at your own pace!
