Hi. Tell me please about your experience w/ going to DW in Jan. and Feb. How's the 1st week of Feb.? My #1 concern is crowds...I DON"T want them...had them...can't ever deal w/ that again! FYI... DW is amazing and even w/ crowds, it can all be done...but boy is it ever exhausting, especially w/ kids! If you are planning a Disney trip and are flexible, be like me and DON"T go during a crowded time. It just is not worth it! Too hard. My DH won't go back. I am planning this for my kids and me. We really need VERY LOW crowds...like 15-20 min waits not the 90-120 min. waits we had 3/08. THANKS!

We love January, second or third week avoiding MLK week-end.

VERY low crowds.

We went the last week of January last year and plan on doing it again next year. It is after the marathon and MLK but before Presidents Day and Mardi Gras. We are from LA and it seems that about 1/2 of the families in LA go for the Mardi Gras break because the kids are off a full week.

We accidently went during spring break in 2007 for just one day and my DH and I agreed that we would never do that again. January has great weather and the longest we had to wait in line was about 15 minutes.

The last few years we have gone the week around marathon weekend. The weather has been great. If we could choose any time of year (which we can't because of high school schedule) we would go in the middle of February like we did when they were little.:lovestruc

We were there the third week of January this year, the crowds were not bad but not light either, we saw lots of brazilian tours in all parks and the weather was too cold for us (low 20's!) so I's go in February based on our experience.

We go in Jan every year (2-3rd week) Some attractions are 10-15 minutes, some even 5 minutes, but the big ones are still 30min + and you will still need a fastpass( or you could do standby). Yes, it is extremely good crowd wise, but don't expect to walk onto Soarin because it won't happen. So definately go in Jan, you will love it, but have realistic expectations as well. With that said, we did see some Brazillian tour groups, they weren't just teen girls, but some groups were families. I have read in other posts that if you see a tour group, leave and go to a different park, but that is not realistic because there are many of them all over. You can't avoid them, just work around them. We had no problems with them, we were heading to Test Track and saw them heading that way too so we just walked faster and got in the fast pass line before them and it was fine. Have a great trip
